Radio-Canada always denied the series was pornographic. CBC president and CEO Hubert Lacroix defended Hard, saying it was popular in France, good value for money, and perfectly in line with the CBC’s mandate.

The CBC subsidy is small change in this equation.
I assume government servers block access to porn sites. Not so likely for the CBC to be blocked as there would be an outcry against Harper for obstructing freedom of the press (media). So CBC has enjoyed a monopoly in supplying porn to government employees. How many giga-hours have we been paying civil servants to watch porn that we have been paying CBC to supply?
