The Religion of Submission

As Kate reported a year ago, the governor of the Pakistani Punjab province was assassinated by one of his own bodyguards. That murderer has now become a hero of sorts to many in Pakistan (audio version).
What’s often left out of reporting on this case is what precisely lead to the murder. From the aforementioned article is this interesting snippet:

So why did his bodyguard kill him?
Taseer – who had a record of protecting minority communities in Pakistan – was campaigning on a blasphemy case, that of a Christian woman called Asia Bibi.
Some Muslim women in her Punjab village accused her of defiling their well by drinking out of it and they demanded that she convert.
She refused and they accused her of blasphemy.
When he heard about the case Taseer decided he would try to get her a presidential pardon. He called a few journalists and visited her in prison and there he criticised the blasphemy law.

Remember this the next time you read a story involving Radical Islamists petitioning for more special privileges in Western countries.

The vast majority are uneducated and are simply parroting their backward leaders.
Their eventual education will be something to behold.

  2. It is probably the inbreeding allowed under Moslem Laws, they are allowed to marry their own 1st cousins. English hospitals are swamped with cases of damaged babies born from inbred Moslem families. Look it up. It is a fact.

Not sure if linking to Fox News is actually reporting but if it makes you blogging types feel better about your hobby to believe it is, go for it.

  4. “Not sure if linking to Fox News is actually reporting…”
As opposed to, oh, MSNBC, CBC, BBC … nah, no hard-core agenda and bloviating, as opposed to reporting, there…

  5. What a convenient way to get rid of your enemies.
Imagine if we lived under Sharia law. We could accuse Suzuki,Gore,Pachauri,Mann, etc., of blasphemy, and “off” them with impunity.
Liberals might object, but WE have the guns.
Disclaimer: The preceeding was,of course, meant as a joke,HUMOUR,and was NOT meant to advocate doing any harm on any of the gentlemen mentioned.
Violence is not the way of a civilized society, and we ARE civilized, very civilized.

  6. I always get the same response whenever a incident like this is reported. Its only a few muslims, its not part of their religion, most are moderates like 99.9%, you’re a racist etc. Yet when we see millions of muslims in places like Pakistan, Nigeria or the middle east and here in the West supporting and being involved in this violence it is dismissed or not acknowledged.
An earlier thread discussed the almost 3,000 incidents up to and including murder that the police are finally reporting in the UK and there are probably a factor of at least 10 of unreported incidents. Yet this too is just ignored.
Will it take a terrorist attack and massive devastation before Canadians even recognize this threat?

  8. Its time to stop the fake Immigration of this demographic. These are colonists, not Immigrants.

  9. The whole “most muslims are moderates” thing is a smokescreen. The truth is that IT DOESN’T MATTER if most are moderate, if most aren’t speaking out against the violence and brutality of their peers.
Most Germans circa 1920-1945 weren’t Nazis, but their failure to speak and act out against the Nazi party led to the biggest war and some of the most widespread atrocities in human history.
Samuel Adams once said “… it does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds …”
    He was right.

President Obama is reportedly considering releasing several senior Taliban leaders from Guantanamo Bay as an enticement to get the Taliban to the peace table. If he does so, he will do tremendous harm to American national security — and to his prospects for reelection this fall.
