Alinsky rode into town on a one-trick pony that the Left has since turned into its warhorse: Agitate one side’s grievances, and appeal to another side’s decency and gullibility in order to provoke the establishment, whose reaction will unite the other two. Then the community organizer charges in on his nag-turned-steed and proceeds to set the rot in motion under the banner of “progress.”
It is the very devil’s work, and Alinsky certainly made a splendid devil: unctuous and whiny at the same time, and always casting himself as the real, heroic victim standing for progress, when in fact he was a particularly nasty, cowardly kind of cultural vandal.

Alinskyism forces the Right to always be on the defense, shadow-boxing in a hall of mirrors against a foe whose moral turpitude it refuses to credit. If Alinsky stood for anything, it was, like Lucifer, destruction; the Left’s rage is animated by its lust for demolition, and the sooner the Right stops accepting its pretensions, the quicker the real battle can finally be engaged.

Brilliant column. I especially love this phrase: “[Alinsky’s] hate-filled love children”. This applies equally to the “Occupy” crowd (see the Oakland video posted earlier) and SDA’s trolls.
One of the things i noticed on the comments i read in the US is the bird-dogging of an alinskite tactic known as S.I.N.:
I response to a conservative/right wing comment left-wing commenters often engage in S.I.N
S – switch the topic
I – ignore the facts
N – namecall
I have done this on a few sites – On Warren Kinsella’s site more a few times – and the impact has been very effective. The SINer always seems to disappear once exposed…
I find it interesting when my left leaning friends try to use SIN to my face when we debate on anything political. It usually only ends up being SI since most of them know that if anyone wants to namecall that I will just punch the offender in the face. But when they try to do all the other things I quickly bring them back on topic. I’m familiar with what they are doing and don’t let the leftists control the debate.
It’s funny because during the last presidential election when Obama was leading I said to a liberal co-worker that the US needs a Carter before they can elect another Reagan. I just hope one of the GOP candidates can be Reagan. Cain sure sounds like him. Romney is Bush Sr all over again.
@james – if that’s true, then in 2012 the US will be electing the zombie corpse of Barry Goldwater.
Both articles are right. We are seeing the full Alinsky at play in the various cities. He was taught well by Stalin’s fifth column.
Alinskyism is human entropy in action.
The only law they serve, is the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
Instead of building they would take the easy route of destruction. After all to build a skyscraper it takes years of work & energy. To destroy on takes minutes.
Walsh’s article is spot on, but the Bill Buckley interview of Alinsky gives a picture of Alinsky in action. A short video clip is at

The site has a link to a transcript of the whole thing.
The Alinsky rules of play only work against cowards and fools….
Anyone who allows themselves to be beaten by the tactics of the juvenile …. deserves it.
