The Tolerant Left

From an Undisclosed Motel 6 in Illinois;

It’s been my job to coach our brave renegades on how best to stick it to the Man, to present their most reasonable, more-in-sorrow, woeful countenances to the television cameras while our public-employee-union supporters contort their faces in purple rage back home in Madison and Topeka and Bismarck, or whatever those other state capitals are called.
In other words, it’s the perfect leftist two-step in the Age of Obama: Say one thing, do the exact opposite. Pretend to be reasonable and then sucker-punch your opponent. Preach civility (come on — you knew that was a joke, right?) and break out the Hitler mustaches. Swear to faithfully execute the laws of the United States and then pull the rug out from under the Defense of Marriage Act. Genius!
As I’ve explained elsewhere, it’s all a part of our allegiance to a Higher Power — which is ourselves and our own base appetites. You Judeo-Christian creeps often accuse us of having no moral center, no guiding philosophy, no soaring, overarching ethos, but that’s a dirty lie. Of course we do, and here it is:
By any means necessary.

  1. That is some special kind of crazy. I mean, that’s right up there with Toronto-area Liberal MP crazy.

  2. This guy reminds me of someone who just escaped from the loony bin. That is really, really scary!!!

  3. Unfortunately this kind of protest is just fine with the MSM. Won’t be reported on by any of the Obama TV ilk.

  4. Notice how this gas-bag bully runs after his rant, was he off to get the million dollars to hand off to the facts-man? Nah, I didn’t think so either!
I think I saw his yellow tail tuck between his legs when he turned around to scurry away, la cucaracha!

  5. There will be violence from union side before this is over. Hopefully more widespread public sector union reform ensues. Public sector unions are on the wrong side of the argument, everyone knows it, and only their mass momentum keeps them afloat. I wonder if this will ever happen in Canada?

  6. Something tells me his pinhead will implode when he realizes his side is losing.
The time has come for public employees to feel the pain of and to be de-sheltered from the Recession. People like this moron will simply not be able to handle that reality.

  7. These are the ones we’ve been waiting for?
Shoot them says I for they are truly rabid.

  8. He reminds me of the people who rally against Israel and are pro-Hamas, leftwingers need to learn to swallow their spit.

  9. Kahene gets it right on. Elections no longer matter, they refuse to recognize any power but themselves. I hope Walker does not back down at this point. I think the people will support him if things get rough.
The internet has changed our world.

  10. People like this guy imagine they’re fighting some “greedy” corporation and think they have the muscle on their side.
What they don’t realize is that they are trying to put the arm on the tax payer this time(who outnumber them) and State Governors have their State Guard military units to use if the unionized police aren’t up to the task of keeping the peace.

  11. When the spittle cakes around the edge of the mouth……insanity has surely set in.

  12. Of Liberal Iggy’s O’Harvard buddy and his running ‘rats.
    Feast your eyes on this:
    >>>> “By the following Monday, eight of the 14 had gone 30 miles northeast to the two-hotel town of Harvard”.
The gods are laughing & rolling in the corn fields.
Bringing in the sheaves with the TEA Party’s posse.
They are cutting off O’s tail with the carving knife: See how they run.
    ““Why are you running?””
    …-
“Cornstalked: As the 14 Wisconsin Democrats run, meet the Illinois Tea Party activists giving chase
To say that 14 Wisconsin Democrats are “on the lam” in Illinois is an understatement. Relentlessly hounded by Illinois Tea Party members, they are truly, on the run.
No matter which podunk border town the senators try to hide in, they are running all the time thanks to highly effective efforts of conservative activists who have streamlined their “search party” by utilizing Facebook, email blasts and quick video posts. Who knew the Tea Party would be so good at bounty hunting 2.0?
On Thursday, The Missing 14 unsubtly crashed the Clock Tower Resort’s Chocoholic Frolic in Rockford, Ill. David Hale, the Rockford Tea Party, and his camera began stalking the resort pestering the senators. By Saturday, some of the Missing 14 had skipped over to the city’s Holiday Inn — and were reportedly seen at Hooters having a last supper of sorts — when Hale waltzed into the hotel’s lobby and confronted them with his camera and questions like, “Senators! Why won’t go home and do your job.”
Probably aware that a posse of 14 pasty bureaucrats will stick out in a crowd, the senators did what any fugitive chain gang would do: They cut the links and went in separate directions. One did the smart thing and disappeared into the polished back alleys of the Windy City, where only the New York Times could find him.
By the following Monday, eight of the 14 had gone 30 miles northeast to the two-hotel town of Harvard (Pop. 9,000ish) thinking it might be a good place to “hide.” It took just one tip from a “concerned citizen,” however, before a few amateurs Illinois activist descended upon the hotel, causing enough trouble commotion for the senators to quickly pack it up.
Mary Alger, the coordinator of the Crystal Lake Tea Party was was grocery shopping when she got the tip. Dropping off the produce, making a quick sign and skirting 15mins Northwest to Harvard, she met up with “Doc,” a member of the Northern Illinois Tea Party who holds down a full-time job when he’s not hunting Democrats. Lori White, a Spring Grove resident, showed up after responding to a Facebook post on the Rockford Tea Party site asking if anyone near Harvard was willing to drop by the hotel, preferably with a video camera.
The hotel called the cops on “Doc” and Mary because they were trespassing, so Doc skedaddled and at a nearby McDonald’s Mary waited for White to arrive into town. Unfortunately, White got there just in time to see four senators piled into a tiny Mazda behind her — the make, model and license plate she’d gotten after responding to the Facebook post. As she fumbled for her video camera, the senators sped off, up Highway 23. Though she tried to follow, White eventually lost them. Not that she’ll stop helping out in the other bounty hunters.
Meanwhile, a local paper published a picture of one of them Democrats. Northern Ill Tea Party board member Joe Terrell had not only set up a “Flee Party Tracker” Facebook page but was able to do some magic thanks to information sharing and basic internet research.
“Based on that picture, a list of Democratic donors and Google Earth we were able to identify where it was taken,” said Terrell. And with that, he posted the citizens equivalent to what the police like to refer to as an APB — an All Points Bulletin.
For the past week and a half, this has been the regular rhyme and flow of both the Wisconsin state senators and the amateur bounty hunters tracking them down. Each time the senators find a place to hide, some local resident sends a quick Facebook note or records a few minutes of footage so that tea party members around Northern Illinois can coordinate confrontations no more dangerous than a slightly pushy reporter asking, “Why are you running?””

  13. So, how do you think all this is going to go down, in the end?
Me thinks, that all that’s going to change if one compares to say the declines of ancient Rome or of the Nazi regime is this:
In the next decade or so, the new ‘final solution’ will be to gather the aging baby boomers who by then will have been fingered as the ones that kept ‘kicking the can down the road’ and allowed the financial collapse and the great world darkness to decent upon them. The boomers will be accused of having horded the wealth for themselves too and that the current mass of elderly that simply don’t seem to die quick enough is by now an unsustainable, top heavy social problem. The fact boomers decided not to have as many kids as their parents will also play to the fact they did not contribute “members” for the pyramid scheme to continue; like Mark Steyn wrote, the world population has already started it’s decline so by then, even immigrants will be a rarer commodity. These views will come primerely from now disillusioned kids from these same boomers/late boomers who were raised spoiled rotten and Godless to begin with.
The Boomers: Mostly TEA party advocates and God fearing. They believe. They believe in the Constitution and in God.
    Ancient Rome: Feared Christians and their beliefs and what it could mean to their Empire;
    were thrown to the lions.
The Boomers: Grew up with values of a hard days work, independent, self reliant and most of all, trained to put money aside for rainy days.
Nazi Germany: Starving folk told by leader that the rich (Mostly Jews) were the problem; the crematoriums ensued.
Remember, the kids are being trained as you are reading this. The training comes from everywhere. This includes the school system, the permissive culture of our times, the violent imagery of video games, movies etc… and the parents (The enablers) themselves who are in most part confused because they are also Godless and advocates of shallow materialism…Not as much as their desensitized kids though.
…A face looking through the openings of a boxcar…A young organizer padlocking the boxcar…”Is that you grandma?”
    Have a nice day.

  14. …A face looking through the openings of a boxcar…
There isn’t going to be boxcars in the next scenario.
As I’ve said before, people are going to line up for their “flu shot” and it won’t be a vaccine they’re getting.
The H1N1 “pandemic that wasn’t” was a dry run to test compliance levels.

  15. But, you know he’d make a fine NDP/Green candidate. He fits the profile exactly, LOL
    Bat Sh** Crazy

  16. RHTT, Maz2’s posting there lets us know how this is going down. The difference between real actual “grass roots” and Astroturf(tm)is, there ain’t nowhere for the Dem 14 to hide in Illinois. Everywhere they go, somebody drops a dime on them.
That’s because everywhere they go, half the people in the place have a big freakin’ problem with their government, the unions and their DemocRat representatives.
So what’s going to happen is these 14 ward heeler socialists are going to go home tail between legs, they are going to bow to the will of their constituents. Its not like these are brave men, right? Some old WalMart cashier lady is going to get up in their face and make ’em pee their pants in fear. Then they will run home to Momma.
And when they do, the bill will be passed. Then the unions will riot. For a couple hours. Maybe break some windows, maybe even burn a car or two in a carefully orchestrated “Day of Rage” or whatever, shades of G-20. Cops have to maintain appearances, right?
Then they will all go home.

  17. spoilt little brat, want’s his cake and cookie to.
if this guy is a teacher, he should be fired!
Ab, i’m afraid you have it right!
it’s rabid, shoot it before it bites someone.

  18. RHTT
That’s what I’ve been saying for a few years here now. I saw evidence of the ageism during the 08′ election.
The fact is, those consequences you speak of are directly correlated to the behaviour and action/inaction of the Boomer generation. That generation truly has made a mess of things; but, the final nail in the coffin will be the abuse of future generations and their wallets to pad their own pockets. If we get through this mess, Boomers will be looked at as a blight in our history. The Narcissistic generation is likely a better description.
Unfortunately for everyone else, is that the Boomer generation is now the face of “conservatism” as your comment suggests. The problem is, these so called “conservatives” are only ‘do as I say not as I do conservatives’, and have in fact ruined the conservative movement for generations to come because of the hypocritical mess the Boomers have made of true conservatism. As I said before, how can anyone expect a strong conservative movement from people my age and younger when the face of the movement is composed of the most hypocritical types?
Baby Boomers are NOT fiscal conservatives regardless of who they vote for! They have made their money while not paying their share of the bills under their watch; and, havn’t provided a suitable tax base to support the pyramid as you suggest. Instead, they’ve betrayed us by allowing unsustainable immigration as a half-a$$ solution to the pyramid issue. Just take the seniors and their new found support for the GOP. This support is rooted in the promise from the Right that they will NOT cut the socialist programs that they are dependent on yet haven’t paid their share of. They vote for the GOP to save their entitlements!
I fear there will be a need to cut you so called “conservatives” from the conservative movement, in an attempt to gain some credibility in the future with the people who will actually be contributing to society in an attempt to get the fiscal ship in order.
If you Boomers are serious about “conservatism” and western society as you say you are, then you will take your own advise like you give to billionaires like Soros, and send your own cheques back to the government when you start receiving them; else, you “are who we thought you were”.

  19. “I’ll make you suffer”
No kidding Karl you’ve killed 100 million and drool at the prospects.
    Evil.

  20. Phantom,
The probability of your scenario (Maz2 posting) for now is right…The unions will eventually take their medicine and go home…Obama will likely loose the next election as America will turn back towards the Constitution but all this will occur during an enduring decline in wealth and oppertunity everywhere.
The world financial system is totally screwed. Math does not apply anymore. There is no turning back unless a new system is created, needly involving the world as a whole. Some call it
the ‘New World Order’, you know, the tatooed serial number and everything: You join or you die.
Or WWIII involving still sovereign Nations which frankly, given the choice, I would prefer. Fighting for freedom in other words.
My scenario is based at the tail end of this decade/middle of next decade.
    Indy,
Right on…We are all culprits in this mess but true Conservatism is still the proper course. At least we acknowledge our own weaknesses and that’s a God given strength. God is still on our side.

  21. If you Boomers are serious about “conservatism” and western society as you say you are, then you will take your own advise like you give to billionaires like Soros, and send your own cheques back to the government when you start receiving them; else, you “are who we thought you were”.

    I’m an Alberta Boomer.(and not a M/B-illionaire)
No one has paid more for the privilege of being Canadians than Albertans have, myself included.
I also paid excessive taxes for being married 27 years as the Canadian government taxed married couples heavier than unmarried couples living together.
I’ve never taken any kind of a government handout, always voted for what passes as conservative in this country, and I won’t be getting any cheques for another 14 years.
By then, there won’t be any CPP.
If there is still a CPP, I’ll be cashing those cheques before the CPP runs out because, Indiana, I do deserve the money I’ve contributed, every penny of it, back again.
If and when I get all I’ve put in over the years out again, I’ll let you know.
    KMA, you bigot.

  22. Oh and all those Boomers that didn’t have children?
The paid for the education, baby bonuses, medical care, and tax rebates for people that did.
    You’re welcome.

  23. From the video, the flecked lipped “spokesman” makes as much sense as any of them……

  24. RHTT, you worry -way- too much. What’s happening in the world is this: First and most beneficial, the industrial capacity of the world as a whole is going forward so fast China is doing a wheelie.
Second, the book keeping is broken. This is not a small problem, but it is not the end of Western Civilization.
Third, the GimmeGimme model of public policy has hit the wall and is right now on fire, thanks to the above book keeping malfunction. The whole Middle East is fired up because mostly there’s a food shortage and there’s Facebook so everybody knows. Europe is already beginning to dismantle their socialism, Canadians are in typical fashion slowly and without drama dismantling ours (faster please) and the Americans are typically making a huge fuss doing exactly the same thing.
There will be no New World Order. There might end up being a war against the New Caliphate, but it won’t be as big a deal as WWII. The Arabs are not Germans, after all.
I mean, just contemplate for a moment how long the Saudis et al would last if the Europeans all decided they needed to go DOWN. You can drive to Arabia from Düsseldorf y’know.
So long term, I’m not too concerned.

  25. Drooling at the mouth: clearly this gentleman is post-metaphorical!
Watching that clip I had an almost overpowering desire to have a frank and honest conversation with the gentleman about … Public Choice Economics.
Let’s remember that their salaries haven’t been reduced; that they’re only being asked to pay for 12% of their health care (compared to 20% for the average worker); that pay is still inflation-indexed.
NOW, imagine the ruckus if it was proposed that a) public employees could no longer be unionized, period AND that b) all-in compensation be reduced to the level of the private sector.
My view has always been that, just as government bonds generally have a lower yield that corporates because of the lower perceived risk, public employee remuneration should actually be below the private sector, even symbolically 1-2% below.

  26. Typical lefty!

Let me guess, you’re not a boomer right?
Your entire rant consists of (very obvious)generational envy, and sour grapes in general.
Pretty idiotic to paint an entire generation with such a wide brush.
Not everyone born between 1945 and 1964 was a hippie or a waster.
Look at the videos and see for yourself how old the people doing the shit are. Probably your generation pal, not mine. RHTT’s posts and take on this situation are pretty much on the mark.

  30. Oh, this is too good. Here’s the end bit of a HuffPoo article about guns on campus:
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/diane-dimond/packing-heat-at-college_b_829785.html
“Truth be told I’d like to see all guns – from small handguns and glocks to rifles and semi-automatic types – melted down and used for scrap.
Tra-la-lah! Wouldn’t it be a wonderful world that found no need for guns at all? My logical brain tells me that is never going to happen.
So, the question becomes do we run the risk of regulating gun ownership so much that the responsible people among us decide it isn’t worth the hassle of multiple classes, training sessions and big fees to get a license? When that happens only police and the bad guys will have guns. And as we all know the police can’t be everywhere.
Dependable Americans with permits already carry their weapons into shopping malls, banks, churches and grocery stores among countless other places every day. Why should a university campus be any different?
Final facts to ponder: A group called Students for Concealed Carry on Campus reports that over 70 American campuses currently allow licensed guns. There hasn’t been a single reported instance of shoot-outs, accidents or heated confrontations with a gun involved at any of them. In fact, statistics show the crime rate at Colorado State University has gone steadily down since concealed carry was enacted. ”
Yes, that was Dianne Diamond at HuffPoo, the big heat sink of all that is Lefty. Awesome.
My friends, we are SO winning this thing. They are SO frickin’ losing it.

  31. The showdown is about who will run the US, the elected government or the unions. I wonder what the Vegas bookies have set the line at.

  32. “The showdown is about who will run the US, the elected government or the unions.”
Naw, that was decided in November when the Tea Party swept everything. This here is the tantrum the Lefties are throwing because they FREAKIN’ LOST! BWAHAHAHHAAAAAAA!!!!

  33. I’m a late boomer, and the broad brush comments from IH couldn’t be farther off the mark for me. Oz and Ed Ellison captured my sentiments nicely. I’ve contributed more than my fair share to society.

  34. Ed Ellison @ 1:48PM
And why doesn’t Indy have a right to hold some generational sour grapes. This latest generation will be the first in a very long time to have a declining standard of living. The hippie generation changed the entire society. All the new-age so called progressive ideas came from draft-dodging boomers who decided to entrench themselves in academia. Pretty much all the liberal crap that everyone here rails about on this blog is from those people. Old people railing against the “entitlement generation” [even though we’ll be too bankrupt from paying for entitlements to collect any] always seems a bit silly to me.
At the very least Indy’s criticism is devoid of asinine hyperbole. RHTT paints this entire generation as some of kind amoral goosestepping army of hooliganism. Yet that’s not slightly idiotic? No one is going to march grandma to the soylent green factory. We’ll just cut social security and medicaid benefits. After that the Tea Party will disappear into the mist. That or vote for Dennis Kucinich.
To be fair the CPP is somewhat reformed and not really a paygo system like social security is so we’ll see how that works out.
I’d like to add that the Nazi empire didn’t decline because they gassed Jews it declined because they got steam-rolled by American manufacturing. All they wanted was lebenstrum! All that fighting and what did we get? Europe is now a jew-hating mega-state controlled by Germany. I guess they’re quasi-autocratic instead of fully autocratic so….USA! USA!
    I can’t even understand the Rome-Christian analogy.

  35. I found myself trying to figure out if the spit flecked rant is being given by a man or a woman?
    Adams apple-not readily apparent
beard or mustache stubble – not readily visible
    deep voice – not really
But it does refer to itself as Chicago Bob.
Thank goodness for that, if it had been Chicago Pat, I would have been really stumped!

  36. The hippie generation changed the entire society. All the new-age so called progressive ideas came from draft-dodging boomers who decided to entrench themselves in academia. Pretty much all the liberal crap that everyone here rails about on this blog is from those people.

    Liar.
Those changes came from the “Greatest Generation” who were the majority of voters when they elected Lester B. Pearson(& Tommy Douglas) and Pierre Trudeau.
(none of who were Boomers themselves)
Yes, many American youth were draft dodgers.
    I don’t blame them.
It was their parents generation that disarmed the Vietnamese who had won their own freedon against the Japs and returned Vietnam back to the French who had abandoned it to the tender mercies of the Japanese.
Then these same youngsters were expected to duke it toe-to-toe against the Vietcong in a boobietrapped countryside dotted with pits full of shitdipped punji sticks with ridiculous ROE when their parent’s generation had bombed whole European cities to rubble to avoid having to do the same thing as much as possible.
*I’ll bet you didn’t know that the Viet Minh had a constitution all ready for the Vietnamese people that was modeled on the U.S. Constitution before they were disarmed and betrayed to the French.
    http://tinyurl.com/6lcnmyv
Study a little history and you’ll find that the socialization of the Western World was begun by the Generation Who fought the First World War.
You’re so wrong I’ll bet you think Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the President who brought Social Security and the “New Deal” welfare society to you U.S., was elected by Boomers too.
    Bigot.

  37. Wow, Chicago Bob’s mouth is not only writing cheques his body can’t cash, but his bank account also. I’m not 100% sure, but I think that’s a turkey feather in his hat. Rather fitting if it is.

  38. I suppose one could surmise that Chiclet Bob’s frothing was nothing more than an epileptic fit of sorts…more likely a chicken sh!t fit I’m sure.
Just like that old adage about ’empty casks’ /noise level.

  39. You cannot blame the entire boomer generation. Some of us never liked Trudeau, never voted for him and never would. I voted for Bob Stanfield so I’m not taking the rap.
The other thing to remember is that when we die there is going to be a lot of money floating around to pay off the youngsters debt they amassed on their own. The Greatest generation taught us that. The current generation grew up on credit cards.
Like most family businesses, the third generation is usually fatal because they did not build it and never grew up in it.
How much tax payable on your RSP and investment accounts when you die and your survivor dies?
