They Miss W.

Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
Paul Krugman;

“You know that Republicans will yell about the evils of partisanship whenever anyone tries to make a connection between the rhetoric of Beck, Limbaugh, etc. and the violence I fear we’re going to see in the months and years ahead. But violent acts are what happen when you create a climate of hate. And it’s long past time for the GOP’s leaders to take a stand against the hate-mongers..”

Even before Bush was elected president, the kill-Bush talk and imagery started. When Governor Bush was delivering his 2000 convention speech, Craig Kilborn, a CBS talk-show host, showed him on the screen with the words “SNIPERS WANTED.” Six years later, Bill Maher, the comedian-pundit, was having a conversation with John Kerry. He asked the senator what he had gotten his wife for her birthday. Kerry answered that he had taken her to Vermont. Maher said, “You could have went to New Hampshire and killed two birds with one stone.” (New Hampshire is an early primary state, of course.) Kerry said, “Or I could have gone to 1600 Pennsylvania and killed the real bird with one stone.” (This is the same Kerry who joked in 1988, “Somebody told me the other day that the Secret Service has orders that if George Bush is shot, they’re to shoot Quayle.”) Also in 2006, the New York comptroller, Alan Hevesi, spoke to graduating students at Queens College. He said that his fellow Democrat, Sen. Charles Schumer, would “put a bullet between the president’s eyes if he could get away with it.”

  1. Me thinks the Left in their attempt to slam the Right have opened Pandora’s box and left themselves open to the same such attacks from the Right.
As I said earlier, it appears that Congress Woman Gifford was not Progressive enough!

  2. Wowsers! And that’s probably only just scratching the surface. That must be why the Left wants revisionist history in the schools and absolute control over the Internet — to destroy the evidence.
Too late suckers! (you’d also have to confiscate millions of hard drives, some of which are small enough to hide in places where the sun don’t shine).

  3. Soccermom at January 10, 2011 2:55 PM, that was proven to be a fake “heroes list”.
    The source doesn’t exist.

  4. What part of crazy do the left not understand?
Oh sorry, that was a question that sort of answered itself.

  5. Mother of all Soccer,
Wowsers, again. The lies in the MSM are getting as predictable as the law of gravity. Seems that the killer didn’t even mention admiration for Hitler — the Left invented it to divert blame somewhere else. The guy’s a pure Commie!
Yep, Sarah Palin is definitely connected — she loves Commies: “I can see Russia from my back porch”.

  6. ricardo @ 2:53:
“…to destroy the evidence.”! So that’s why the left wants to pass laws criminalizing “political heresy”—speaking ill of one’s political party, beliefs, etc.. It’s to protect the left from itself! Which Alinsky rule is that?

  7. but calls to violence could never happen in Canada . . .
oh wait, one of Warren Kinsella’s Liberal compadre’s
Mr. Beer & Popcorn Liberal Scott Reid in the Globe & Mail . .
” . . . he is almost unable to defend himself. Owing to a ridiculously ill-considered act of hubris, he has laid himself vulnerable to his opponents. Their imperative could not be more clear: kill him. Kill him dead. Do not, whatever you do, provide him with an opportunity to extend his hold on power. Because you can be damn certain he will never again be so reckless as to give you a chance to finish him off”

  8. In case it had somehow escaped your attention, the MSM (so called) is populated with the scum of the earth.

  9. Nick,
Who’s Alinsky? Talk to dissidents in Communist Cuba — the contemporary dissent is mostly made up of former communists, socialists, etc. (conservatives escaped the island a long time ago). And the first people that Castro and the Che purged from the party and assassinated some 50 years ago were fellow revolutionaries.

  10. I’ve been following all these links since Saturday. Glad they are now being compiled. Thank God for the internet. I have interrupted a Palin-bashing discussion on FB to try to ‘inform’ a few people that Jared L is to blame for the murders, and that if he was ‘influenced’ by any political rhetoric it is is possible that he was influenced by the angry left, if that is indeed why he pulled the trigger.
D’y’all know it’s ok for Obama to use the gun metaphor, but not okay for Palin to use the ‘target’ metaphor?
Robert…I linked to the G&M from you blog, hoping to find some informed comments there.
disputing Krugman. Most cheer him on. Pathetic… (IH…saw yours. good one!)

  11. Wow that link sure shows the left are full of bile and hatefilled puss, the cardboard cutout of Sara with a gun to her head-good gawd those people need medication and rubber rooms. I honestly hope she files a class action suit for the Tea Baggers against CNN and the rest of the media that blamed her and them for the massacre.

  12. Talk about sour grapes: The Dems get beaten fair and square at the polls and the ballot box, and Krugman calls their opponents “hatemongers”.
I wonder what happens when Lefties loose at stuff like table tennis or bowling? The winners are therefore “baby killers”, “bank robbers”, etc?

  13. Ft Hood – 13 murdered, 32 wounded. Murderer shouting “Allahu Akbar” and carrying business cards identifying him as a “Soldier of All”.
MSM call s for calm, not to jump to conclusions and Obozo doesn’t think murdered American soldiers merit a Minute of Silence.
Tuscon – 6 murdered 14 wounded. Murderer is some dope head progressive nut case.
MSM goes ballistic trying to link Sarah Palin & the Tea Party to the tragedy and Obozo jumps in with 48 hrs and holds a national Minute of Silence.
Id there a pattern here ?

  14. I think Jared had one too many Veggie Combos at Subway. Has nothing to do with political allegiance…

  15. Dear Roger Goodell (NFL Commissioner)
Due to the tragic events this weekend in Arizona, it think it is time for the NFL to bear it’s responsibility in this matter and remove the ‘shotgun’ formation from all playbooks.

  16. For those taking notes:
When the left uses violent imagery, their dissent displays the highest form of patriotism.
When the right uses violent imagery, Sarah Palin pulled the trigger herself.

  17. I remember that Playboy hate-f*** thing. It elicited criticism from people of all political leanings. A few months later, Playboy announced a 38% cut in rate base (circulation figures used for advertising rates).
That stunt was so revolting it should have resulted in a 100% reduction.

  18. The Globe and Mail’s rhetoric—Brian Topp’s over the top, ill-informed, column and accompanying letters—is vitriolic and hateful. My blood pressure rises. Then I think about my cancelled subscription—after decades—and I feel much better. With a hat tip to Bugs, “What maroons and ignoranimuses”.
I don’t care if I’m ramping up the rhetoric here: I hope the leftie scumbags, who have shamelessly spun this tragedy, meet their Waterloo. These hypocrites are lying, despicable, bloodthirsty pimps. Fie on them.

  19. @OZ: “Jared Loughner was regular poster at Lefty hatesite Daily Kos under the name Blueboy.
    http://tinyurl.com/4f6gcqh
Classic disingenuous and reckless citizen bs that often finds its way into this place. You should be ashamed, but your zealous hatred blinds you even wanting to get to the truth.
Would it kill you to do a little digging before hurling such slurs? Will you do the right thing and retract your statement?

  20. Too predictable!
Some crazy idiot murders and injures a whole lot of innocents in a mad attempt to kill a partisan target and what do the hardcore partisan types busy themselves with?
    Blame the other guys.
OK, fine. If assigning blame is the most important thing we need to accomplish here, then let me give my opinion.
I think the hardcore right, the hardcore left, the MSM and it’s asssorted paid talking heads are all to blame here.
From dividing countries to squandering billions to making a mockery of democracy itself, the party system is destroying the western world. It is dishonest, wasteful, uncooperative, divisive, combative and, as seen throughout the blogosphere, instills bunkered and often hateful mentalities in people who choose it as their “entertainment”. People who chose their news outlet based on the political bent of the supplier. I swear, some are so intimate with the trees around them, they’ve forgotten a forest even exists.
    Sigh……

  21. “Would it kill you to do a little digging before hurling such slurs? Will you do the right thing and retract your statement?”
    ~Bill Stewart
Apart from already saying that the “Amy Loughner” letter could be a fake, which part do you think is a slur?
That Mickey”Little Eichmanns” Kos’ site is a hate site? Hmmmm?

  22. why bother talking or showing this stuff we already know this !
I am wondering what is the next progression? what is the next step ? Will they start rounding up people based on how they voted ? i am waiting to see what happens in the next 5 years maybe 10! and that is enough for me to prepare myself.

  23. No wait, the was Ward Churchill that used that “Little Eichmanns” hatred.
Mickey Kos was the one who said of the Blackwater contractors whose murdered bodies were dragged through the streets of Falujah and hung from the bridge, “They’re mercenaries, F##k’em”.
But if anyone doubts Daily Kos is a hate site, I invite them to go over there and wade through the sewage they’ve been spewing in just the last 24 hours concerning Tucson.

  24. ‘the party system is destroying the western world.’
This is a simplistic view that is nothing more than a hissy fit, devoid of facts and critical thinking.

  25. The left will use these “incidents” to try and gain more control over the masses.
This is one crisis that will not go to waste.
The liberty of the Nations are deeply at risk. The more control the more frustration, the weaker the community.
The Islamists, socialist, communists, banksters and all other liberty haters are licking their chops watching the Western world tear itself apart, and all they had to do to start this was fly a couple of planes into a couple of buildings and create and sustain economic crises and we are doing the rest of the dirty work, fighting each other like bitter enemies.

  26. The left not only wants to silence anyone who isn’t them; it also wants to make adults into infants, completely absolving them from responsibility. This incident, as tragic as it is, is a gold nugget to the heartless wags who really hope the public lacks the critical thinking skills to see these murders and assaults as the acts of a stupid man.

  27. I don’t recall media jumping to conclusions over John Hinckley’s political motivation for shooting President Reagan. As it turned out his motive involved Jodie Foster and the film Taxi Driver; in other words he was, and is, completely insane.
It is just possible that in Jared Lougher we are looking at a similar disturbed individual. It would be encouraging to see commentators remember this, but I don’t expect it in todays climate.

  28. Someone should take the pictures and hatefilled slogans and make an infomercial we can share with our pandering Progressive Liberal Media. Cause they sure as hell won’t report the truth about the progressives.

  29. Canadian Observer – what do you propose as the alternative to political parties – they are the heart of every pluralistic system in the world. If you lose parties, you lose the freedom to associate.
Would a dicatorship be preferable to the current system, if it eliminated parties? Please expand on your view of a proper civic order, and how that would be achieved, without a loss of personal liberty.

  30. There is no alternative to a party system.
If there were no parties people would invent them.
If all politicians were independents, then a group who had the same take on a particular issue would vote together as a block, defeat the unorganized opposition, and a party would be born.
So maybe that party would operate in secret.
    Which is preferable?
Secret alliances of covert representatives or politicians operating in full view of the public?

  31. This is good. On the cbc site today, the headline reads, “Ignatieff tour to target 20 ridings”.

The second paragraph says,”But whereas his summer and fall cross-country excursions were intended to reassure and re-engage Liberals, Ignatieff will use the winter outing to take direct aim at vulnerable rival MPs.”

Now if that isn’t a direct call to arms to take out society’s most vulnerable, then they must set Sarah free. I went through a few pages of comments and no one seems to have a problem with this. The lefties are so blind to what they themselves do.

  32. small c
I just had this conversation with someone I like the other day.
Everyone is an independent in their perfect democracy. Basically a bunch of chickens with their heads cut-off.

  33. Every so often, crazy unbalanced people make statements that normal people cannot comprehend.
But enough about the CBC. How about this weather we’re having?
