Fort Collins campus President Tony Frank acknowledges that the 2008 plan to “rapidly” become carbon-neutral won’t be a reality for decades because the university can’t afford to make major changes right now. Former CSU President Larry Penley had proposed the university become carbon-neutral by 2020 and signed CSU onto a national effort by colleges and universities to cut emissions.

Thre’s a shortage of medical isotope production and arguably of research reactors in general.
Colorado wants electric power.
It’s almost like there’s some possible way for them to generate power “without carbon emissions” and further research and produce something they could profitably sell (or very nicely donate).
But this would never be considered, because it’s ICKY.
There isn’t any good reason to be trying to generate power without carbon emmissions.
There is no energy shortage and there is no global warming.
The fact that the university is considering this at all means that the intellectual rot has spread so deeply that the only solution is to shut down the university, fire all of the professors and send the students home. CO2 emissions go to zero and the professors with marketable skills find work at institutions concerned with teaching science or engineering, not anti-technologic ideology.
You know that Climate Science Centre and the solar and green stuff you are the biggest in? You can’t afford it. Ask the Business school for tips.
Like napoleon retreating from Moscow and all other involuntary retreats, those doing the retreating suffer much humiliation – the AGW crowd will not be able to avoid it either.

The trouble is the AGW crowd are the same crowd as the acid rain, ozone hole, coming ice age, DDT, etc crowd as in send us gobs of money to save you all the while having their media cohorts control the message. They have never lost before let alone being exposed for the charlatans they are, so they are not going to go away quietly.
Their next target is the internet and control of who says what. Radio and TV had their early years with little regulation too but look at it now.
