32% of British Muslim students support killing for Islam….In an ironic twist, this survey and its shocking poll results were made available only through the Wikileaks leaking of Julian Assange. The poll was revealed as part of a secret, diplomatic cable that emerged from the US Embassy in London.

Here’s the problem: Julian Assange began releasing the American diplomatic cables just less than one month ago. The Centre for Social Cohesion’s study has not only been available to the public for over a year and a half, it has also been reported on in both blogs and newspapers.

It’s the data that the important part. One out of three have admitted they would kill me for Islam and I wonder about the other two.
One out of three are admitted 7th Century thugs that adhere to a hideous death cult, and these are University students. I wonder what the numbers are for the average working stiff.
Wikileaks also falsely takes credit for the Climategate e-mails, which they had nothing to do with. The e-mails were released by several “skeptic” sites, like Watts Up With That, The Air Vent, and others. But that lying little attention-whore Assange thinks he’s always the story.
Has Assange released anything that we didn’t already know or at least suspect? Other than the names of some collaborators in Afstan that is. Really, if anybody thinks these are earth shattering, life changing revelations, is living in the lieberal dreamworld. Noone in the real world gives a crap. Personally I would just be happy that now he’s had his 15 minutes he would just go away. But I don’t think thats going to happen.
Hey what the hell, Assange is entertaining. It’s fun to watch all the machinations going on on all sides.
In the big picture it’s meaningless. A few feathers ruffled, no doubt, but they are feather that need plucking in my view.
This will all blow over and humans will continue their self-destructo quest unabated.

Another truth is that there are well over a billion Muslims that exist on planet earth.
There are approximately 1.1 million Muslims in Canada today. Forget 1/3 (33%) who would see westerners harmed, what if only 1% of Muslims in Canada were violent extremists? That would mean 11,000 violent extremists in your country wishing to kill rape and subjugate you, your family, and everyone else you care about.
Ask a Muslim to tell you what Canada’s demographics will look like in the next 5 years (he links to Stats Canada).

I agree, Osumashi (4:31), that the numbers (the percentage of Muslims/non-Muslims who do/don’t support X/Y) aren’t the story; the real story is the reporting stating that the Centre for Social Cohesion’s study was (to quote the Daily Mail, for one) “revealed by the WikiLeaks’ publication of U.S. diplomatic cables.” The CSC’s study was actually reported on by *The Daily Mail* (see here) in 2008, a year-and-a-half before Assange released the US diplomatic cables.

I think the story here is a media intent on puffing up Assange into a much bigger deal than he is.
Given the MSM is owned and operated by the Left, I can only assume this is for nefarious purposes.

OK. We understand there are around a billion and a half Muslims worldwide. Let’s pretend females don’t do the killing (erroneous assumption, but there aren’t THAT many who do), so let’s knock off 50% of the original number. That leaves roughly 750 million Muslim males. And, let’s figure that about 1/3 of those males are too old for violence, and that 1/3 are too young for violence. We’re left with about 250 million Muslim men in the potential-jihadist population. Let’s be conservative and figure only 30% (instead of 33%) approve of killing: Voila!! That means only 75 million Muslim men are potentially out to get us.
Oh swell. Dandy.
Somehow that number doesn’t jibe with all those reassuring statements by Islamic front groups that only a “tiny minority” of “confused Muslims” somehow “misunderstand” how peaceful and tolerant Islam truly is…
(Yeah, right. 1400 years of “peace” and “tolerance” — if by those words you mean “hundreds of millions of people slaughtered in service to a malignant belief system whose main principle is ‘Submit Or Die’.”)
