BTW, do you notice how the Left immediately takes-up the cause for the military as soon as they are designated ‘victim’. Progressives NEVER miss an opportunity to be victimized bi-proxy.
Indiana, the Left only has a use for the military when its personnel are casualties or invalided in some way. An active and useful military is something they always oppose. It’s simply use of the oldest political trick in the book, waving the bloody shirt. Beagle and his ilk only want the corpses of soldiers so they can stand on them as a campaign platform. The living, breathing kind they find abhorrent.
How do we know this? Simple. Name me one military procurement that the Left has supported. Obsolete equipment means dead soldiers.

just today I was visiting an acquaintance and reminded him the atomic bombs that hit japan in august 1945 saved 10 times more lives than they ended. that is my *attitude* about the business of war and who deals with it on a daily personal basis.

The real difference between Americans with Canadians is quite simple.
Ask any 10 Americans who want to be boss & perhaps 8 will want the job. Ask 10 Canadians the same question , with the result that only 2 out of 10 wanting to run things. Canadians just don’t like responsibility, or its responsibility. We much prefer to stay in the background as a folk.
