Stories like this remind me how much I still miss Timothy.

I hope he keeps the croc well fed or he may get an unpleasant surprise one day.
As to the Timothy Treadwell story, rest assured that TT only ran into a rogue bear and all the rest are quite friendly.
Here in B.C. we have very friendly grizzlies, and during hunting season,my brothers and I will often be found petting the bears,”good boy,now run and play”, as we walk through the enchanted forest looking for Bambi and Bullwinkle.
Yes,if you don’t come to Super,Natural British Columbia for the mountains or the pot, come and stroke our bears.
It’s an experience you’ll never forget.

Even if he does, the croc might decide to kill him now and “store him” under water for later snacking once he’s a little softer and all.
He’s juggling a live chainsaw there. AS in “I’m sure it’s possible, it’s just not a very good idea.”
“My transformation complete—a fully accepted wild animal—brother to these bears.”
sooooo basically it was a sibling rivalry that did him in.
Watch Poncho’s food play with him.
Makes you wonder when the croc is going to go back to the time tested ways. I’m not sure it would bother me to see this guy explore the inside of the croc’s stomach.
I couldn’t view the croc video to the end, even though I assume it ended “well”. As for “bear boy”, Good Lord!
Sigh… had a few up close and personal experiences with Grizzly bears, as a consequence of shared habitat. Heart stopping is a mild way of putting it. Was able to disengage on 3 occasions with no collateral damage, they are an animal to be respected, very intelligent and curious. These were wild bears most often encountered while hunting moose on the Prophet river.(Alaska Hgy) I was perhaps as much as 100 miles from any road.
I watched Timmies movie, he treated the bears like stray dogs, dumb, dumb. I agreed with the fellow at the end of the film who said he got what he deserved.
I remember a Swiss couple in Banff who had to be restrained from going into an area with a known dangerous Grizzly. They said they had only “love” for the bear and it would know that.
Bears are dangerous. If you don’t think so make your final arrangements before you go out and play with them. I have seen a Grizzly go from one side of a 36′ gravel road to the other in one leap, true story.
I was in my truck, he screamed, roared, and then bounded about 75 yards into the bush. I could still see him quite plainly. He then stood up and proceeded to pop his teeth, strange sound. They click their teeth together, when they are upset, ominous sound. Kinda like a 38 special popping. They really do get upset with us disturbing them. I won’t shoot what I don’t want to eat so.. just back outta there. I sure wasn’t about to go give him a pat on the head. Beautiful animal, a rare treat I can still see him leaping, and turning in defiance, hope he is running and leaping yet.
This croc is closer to reality.
Warning…. unedited.
Some where Steve Irwin is screaming warnings to this guy.
Hey,bubba,I was up in Prophet River earlier this year hunting moose. Never saw any grizzlies, but saw a fresh, steaming pile of grizzly scat big enough I’m damned glad I didn’t meet him!
No bells in this one though. 😉

the gawds of dumbf@ckery just finally called little timmy home… “Treadwell claimed to have identified 21 vocalizations
and body languages in grizzlies. If that’s the case, says
Bartlebaugh, the one he didn’t recognize was the
most important: ‘It was the one that says, Leave me
alone‘.”

crocs and sharks are terrifying largely because they are ambush predators…..striking silently from murky water.
Crocs kill many more people than sharks….capable of a 30-40mph rush up to 50 feet from water.
Gorillas hand raised are put in STRONG cages for good reason…..stay well back from the bars….they rip apart truck tires for fun…toys….
Mama Croc is probably saying” Now son, don’t play with your food.”
and, somewhere Darwin is smiling…
“Let’s do lunch” will have a whole new meaning
SNAP!

I wouldn’t hang out with a “moderate crocodile” any more than I would hang out with moderate muslims or moderate nazis — you never know when they might get a conservative impulse that you’ll pay for.
Man swims with croc — someday croc swims with man inside.
I like guys like Timothy and this goof…makes the rest of us seem pretty smart.

My gut reaction is to consider all these wild animal lovers a bunch of arrogant idiots. But then I realize that we all cozy up to the planet’s most dangerous and unpredictable predator every day.
“This is my good buddy, Tommy the T-Rex. Ya’ll stand back, now…”
Wow my crocodile translator says “MMMM tastes like chicken”. Must be a mistake in its programming.
“Yes,if you don’t come to Super,Natural British Columbia for the mountains or the pot, come and stroke our bears.”
Personally, I think the guy is nuts, and will predict that sooner or later he will find his way INTO the croc’s stomach.
I vividly recall the time when a grizzly the size of a volkswagen tried to make his way into my cabin in the mountains in Alberta. He was just looking for food, not us. My wife was terrified. The last thing I wanted to to was to shoot the bear, we were, after all, inhabiting his territory.
Fortunately, he went away. But seeing him sprawled against the window was a pretty intimidating sight.

LOL that is nasty man he lost his arm for sure i saw it all twisted up and for some reason i don’t feel sorry for him …actually i feel kinda bad for the gator/croc casue it probly got put down.
It is different if you areo ut in the wild and camping or something and you have followed all of the right way’s to camp and you encounter a bear or something then by all means blow it friken head off if you have a chance to .
but in these situations all sympathy goes to the animal.
Morons!!
Apparently lil’ Timmy had “…a history of drug and alcohol abuse…”
Nuff said.
Looks like the guy laying on the croc is still a bit too big to fit in the Crocs tummy.
Give it a year or two, I’m sure the croc is patient…
Unfortunately, Timothy Treadwell took his girlfriend with him when he became the aged grizzly bear’s dinner.
“Grizzly Man” is utterly fascinating. The term “death wish” comes to mind.
There was an old lady from Niger,
Who rode as she smiled on a Tiger,
When they returned from the ride,
The lady was inside, and the smile on the face of the Tiger.
I could easily have been a grizzly fatality at about age 6 in my hometown of 500 in northern BC. We had just seen a Walt Disney special a couple of weeks ago following around a bear cub. I was playing outside and my mom heard me calling to someone by the same name as on the show, entreating him to come and play. Sure enough, I had treed a cub. Fortunately, mommy griz wasn’t near so my mom could whisk me back inside.
Damned city folks and their entertainment. “Cute and cuddly” nature can kill.
If you ever lay your mitts on a copy of Paul Schullery’s book “Mark of The Bear”, there’s a chapter titled “The twenty-fifth Bear” written by former Alaskan Game Commissioner Frank Dufresne that is well worth reading.
Maybe the next edition will have a chapter dedicated to Treadwell: The Edible Man
Guy that worked for us, along with his father, had a grizzly encounter in the Pink Mountain area of the Alaska Highway. They were just about to dress the elk that they shot when a sow & her two cubs charged them. Fortunately, the grizzlies decided to play with them much a cat plays with a mouse, rather than immediately dispatching them. During the rather painful experience, one of them managed to get ahold of a rifle & dispatch the sow, the cubs then fled the scene.
They spent sometime in the Fort St John hospital recovering from that hunting trip.
