  9. Glenn Beck on yesterday’s (Oct 6, 2010, reveals the footproints into socialism and the book written by Chase a socialist – I find it to be very interesting and must watch.
    What the americans don’t know is that some of those socialistic ideals have taken root under Obama as he slowly ‘naturalizes’ businesses, unions, banks, manufacturing companies and so forth.
    Socialistic views is to destroy economy to replace with socialism, communism.
    Kathy, I ask the canadian national media on several occassions which one will they support:
    Mugabe, Obama or Harper.
    Which country will the media prefer to live under right now:
    Mugabe’s regime, Obama’s regime or the Harper’s regime.
    Simple questions-
    I think that they will support Mugabe OBama sooner than their own PMSH.
    They will also wouldn’t mind living under the regimes of Mugabe’s and Obama’s than under PMSH.

  17. The solution to our problems is a reduction in government intervention. Government intervention was the problem and has not been the solution.
    You want to keep your country from having massive credit bubbles? Stop intervening in the markets by cutting interest rates to nothing whenever you are worried about the economy (and then leaving interest rates low for too long).
    You want to keep your country from having massive housing bubbles? Kill CMHC, kill Freddie, and kill Frannie. Kill deductible mortgage interest (in the US). Kill these programs that rob from everyone to pay for the housing of only those that can afford to buy. Destroy all of these programs.
    You want business to work effectively? Allow lenders to take their lumps when businesses fail. Don’t phone up lenders to companies like GM and tell them that if they don’t agree to your deal and take a haircut on their loans that you will find a way to crush them outside of court because you are government. Just don’t.
    You want banks to lend effectively? Take out implicit guarantees from government on their non-deposit loans. Stop allowing those who are deposit-takers to engage in risky business OR make the insurance they pay dependent on the level of risk they take and base it on market rates (my preference; the first is just more regulation).
    You want an efficient energy industry? Take out subsidies for so-called green energy and just include taxes on negative externalities (to the extent they actually exist, which they do for things like air pollution). Stop subsidizing ridiculous forms of energy production that will never work, like solar in Ontario. Let the Germans subsidize building the solar industry where there is limited sunlight, not us.
    Just stop interfering. Stop. Step away. Give it up. Let the market work. Please. Please…

    You wouldn’t get that though, because you don’t understand cause and effect. This is apparent in your failure to grasp how pumping billions of tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere will eventually have an effect on the climate.
    The Republicans lied, tortured, and basically robbed the average American blind for 8 years straight. Every Republican president since Nixon has wildly driven up the debt, with GWB being the worst of the lot, but did you twits mention that even once? When George Bush left office, the country was in the middle of the worst economic crisis in 70 years. To think that Obama bears the bulk of responsibility for this simply isn’t dealing with reality.
    Only an idiot would want them back in power. Want to know what their America would look like? It’s a fire department watching somebody’s home burn down because they forgot to pay a lousy $75.

    And before you put your money where you’re mouth is I’ll even let you know that I can name a few that don’t AND I can show you why SOME major economists are utter fools.
    Heh, but you are right about GWB being the worst debt runner upper of all the Republican presidents, but only 1/20 of what Obummer is so far.
    But Obama bad is good Bush bad is worse. What do I know?

    You say every major economist WOULD argue that; no, MANY DID argue that, but the unemployment rate has risen far higher than Obama’s shiny Harvard and MIT trained Keynesian nitwits – sorry; economists – said it would. They no longer argue that their stimulus would keep unemployment under 8%, because people would laugh too hard.
    Your comment about CO2 emissions misses a salient fact – CO2 has never, and will never be established as a cause of climate change, because atmospheric science can not run controlled experiments. All atmospheric ” scientists ” have is a deadly self-importance, huge egos, and no scruple. ( Some, perhaps, are simply nuts. ) Google CRU, if you’d like to read up on how the AGW fraudsters got caught. Go read up on statistics, and then seek out Steve McIntyre’s statistical analysis and you will be forced to conclude – if you are open to reasoned argument – that the major AGW ” researchers ” methodology was fraudulent, and designed to produce a conclusion in favor of man-caused AGW.
    Please – at minimum – think things through before you post. Your comments are libelous, because they are unsupported by the facts.

  26. Someone thought the best part was the “stop spending’ segment. The one uttered by Rick Santelli on the floor of the Chicago Exchange. THAT Rick Santelli…you know. The one who started the Tea Party protest on April 15,2009. The same one that became the Tea Party that is have such effect in this election cycle.
    Good place to notice.
    As for Obama. He has always had these plans and has had enormous help in implementing them from Congressional leadership. Rush said he hoped he failed and it would have been better had he failed. Better for the country and for the Western nations who rely on a healthy America for their own prosperity. But he has been able to push through his policies to devastating effect to the economy and the nation. Democrats are running from this, pretending to be moderate, hoping to pull the wool again and slip past the midterms. I do not think it will work but even with huge Republican gains, it will not stop Obama. He has the power and he intends to keep it.
    There are billboards in the US popping up all over with a picture of President Bush with the caption “Miss me yet?”.. with unemployment now at 10.1 ( meaning that it is REALLY well above 16% nationally and much worse in some states) and spending in the trillions along with ruinous legislation and policies, I would be willing to bet that many millions of Americans sorely miss President Bush.
    He kept the country safe and secure and unemployment was never over 6% and he kicked butt in Afghanistan. Leaving it to NATO to keep secure was the mistake there. Now we have had to go back there because Pakistan has not been kept under control. ( You know,keep your friends close and your enemies closer)
    This Obama administration is such a disaster they are going to get many people killed and I would not be surprised if there is another major attack on the homeland.
    However, there is an agenda at play that isn’t often mentioned and that is the one of soverignty. The Obama administration is seriously attacking the soverignty of the United States. Actively and openly. And there is a reason for it.

    Yeah, Obama is running a a massive debt, FIXING GWB’s MISTAKES.
    Again, he inherited the worst economy in 70 freaking years. All thanks to 8 disastrous years of conservative policies. It’s like you people imagine that something so massive as the US economy can be turned around in a matter of months. It took the US a decade to climb out of the last major Rebulican-cause economic cluster-freak.
    You guys can literally stare at reality, and see something wildly different. It’s really quite magical.
    And snowbunnie… how can you say he kept America safe? The US was attacked on his watch, AFTER he received notice the Bin Laden was determined to attack!!!! Are you on crack? If so, where to you buy it, because clearly you get the good stuff.
