  1. Ignore BTJ it’s hard not to get wrapped up in his little merry-go-round but that’s the game.
Most likely BTJ is just another self flagellating masochist that we see drop into SDA for a little group domination every so often. Hence the self projection comments like “identity crisis” and the incessant affection for Islam. What better master to dominate and humiliate, no?
For sure it’s gross, but think of the queer in the basement in the movie “Pulp Fiction” that comes slithering out of the confinement box. Well unfortunately people, you give this “individual” a mental masturbation with each and every slap down you inflict on it.
That should be enough moral & ethical grounds in a civilized society to stop feeding this Troll.

  2. A mosque already in the Pentagon before 9/11 explains why there was no uproar about a mosque in the Pentagon being built after 9/11. Sheeesh. It was just part of the building, part of typical multi-culti niceness of Americans before Post-Cold-War end-of-history world came crashing down.
What a dumb (and/or misleading, purposely or otherwise) argument the Pentagon mosque is against the protestors of the Ground Zero mosque.
Cultural sensitivity should go both ways. C’mon, Muslims, be culturally sensitive to Americans. Don’t build the Ground Zero Mosque.

  3. “Islamists have the religious and legal right to put a mosque on this property. No one doubts that”
    I do.
They would have “legal right” if and only if they owned the property. They do not. Not yet. The property is not yet paid for.
They also do not have religious right, because there is not thingi as “religious right” —
Is religious right the same as what the believers in some religion are saying?
Is religious right the same as what one reads in the holly books in this or that religion?
What is a “religious right” in secular country?

  4. “knowing a majority of Americans are hurt and offended.”
Ah, the collective majority…one always likes to fall back on it whenever they find themselves with no other means of arguing their view.
Do you think that the NRA should have canceled their tour through Columbine shortly after the high school massacre? Because Charlton Heston sure didn’t, and he made an excellent point in his speech.
“Most likely BTJ is just another self flagellating masochist”
    Thanks Dr. Schlessinger.
“They would have “legal right” if and only if they owned the property. They do not. Not yet. The property is not yet paid for.”
And the Mosque isn’t built yet…what’s your point?
“They also do not have religious right, because there is not thingi as “religious right””
I hope to god you’re not American…it’s called the 1st amendment.
“What is a “religious right” in secular country?”
    Wow

Perhaps I should have responded directly to phillip shaw “Only individuals have rights”
As you say corporations have rights as individuals — are persons under the law.
A situation very close to the heart of capitalism — and since corporations talk with money, money is considered free speech.
But both Soho Properties & the Cordoba Initiative are corporations.
This fact has probably been explained to the Islam-watchers, which is why you now hear “Sure they have the right …. but is it decent? It offends”
However, as the speechies are at pains to tell us, free speech includes the right to offend.
I love the wackiness of all this.
Pam Geller is outraged that some OTHER loons have organized a demonstration.
Fox news perorates on the dangers of money from some Saudi potentate, without mentioning his name & the fact that he is the second biggest investor in News Corp.
    etc.
But it’s a dangerous game, and these know-nothing uproars are all too common in US history. It’s just not Jews & Catholics anymore.

  6. BTJ – “Do you think that the NRA should have canceled their tour through Columbine shortly after the high school massacre? Because Charlton Heston sure didn’t, and he made an excellent point in his speech.”
If only the NRA had gotten there sooner, maybe some of the non-sociopaths on that campus would have been armed. Just one might have made all the difference.
dizzy, re. your link – Kathy Shaidle over at FiveFeetofFury celebrates the Hard Hat riots every year. Doesn’t it warm your little socialist cockles when The Workers stand up to spoiled, bouregois draft-dodging students? If not, why not?

  7. “Fox news perorates on the dangers of money from some Saudi potentate, without mentioning his name & the fact that he is the second biggest investor in News Corp.
    etc.”
Ironic and crazy isn’t it!? And he lent his son money to purchase art from an auction fundraiser for American troops.

President Bush would have given him a kiss on the lips for that.

  9. // Kathy Shaidle over at FiveFeetofFury celebrates //
Is that supposed to be a recommendation?
// your little socialist cockles //
BOO !! [I think this thread has unravelled]
