  5. All numbers related to the settled science of globull warming are suspect, particularly temperature trends based on terrestrial (as opposed to satellite) thermometer readings. Mankind just does not know enough about how climate works to produce reliable data. Sloppy data collection methods, guess work and downright cheating a la Climategate are the characteristics of a branch of science that is more faith than fact.

  13. Tom has co-related several different factors: global warming per se, greenhouse gas emissions, and solar forcing may interact but are not entirely additive.
    That said, it is politicians, celebrities, and the media who rarely understand or delineate the differences and climate alarmists who know big numbers make big headlines. They talk about CO2 at 390 (“391, OMG, we are all gonna die!”) instead of .039% of atmosphere, a 10000% overstatement of reality.
    My favourite statistical headline was put out by Save the Children last year wherein “300 million Africans would die of global warming by the year 2100”. Not mentioned of course is that virtually all 6.5 billion current inhabitants of the planet will suffer a similar fate in the same time frame.

    All warming comes from the sun. Unless, of course, the moon is putting out heat now.
    If you take out the sun there is no heat production anywhere for at least 4.2 light years.
    Whatever small fluctuations and temperature anomalies occur on earth, are short term, and will change long before any extorted taxation has the slightest affect on anything but corrupt governments and Al Gore’s bottom line.
    Even though I not a sensitive, feeling leftie, I nonetheless, am feeling that the smarter more realistic side of the political equation in the west (‘the right’) is about stop putting with the petulant stupidity and dangerous mischief being produced by the dumb and dumber idiots of the ‘the Left’.
    I am sure feeling that way lately. Next time I am confronted by a warmist, I will not bother debating climate, that would be like going to the zoo to talk to the monkeys. Rather, I will just get rude and many even toss a punch out there for effect. Violence is always how we human ultimately and historically settle our differences. Our differences cannot get anymore polarized now can they?
    We are talking about the destruction of our freedoms, prosperity and way of life at the hands of limp-wristed weak-minded communist twits … That’s worth a punch in the nose at the very least. The debate can only last so long, then the shooting starts. Check your history books to see if I am telling the truth.

    Not quite. A small amount of heating comes from the earth itself. The earth is a nuclear reactor, with radioactive elements in the core breaking down and producing heating resulting in liquid magma – hence, volcanic activity, as the Algoracle has somewhat overstated (the core of the earth is not actually at 1 million degrees (Celsius or Fahrenheit), but it is hot. That’s why it seems rather ridiculous for the watermelons to object to storing nuclear waste in the earth’s interior. It would be just a drop in the bucket.
    The earth’s interior is not hot enough, however to replace the sun as a source of energy. Without the sun’s energy, the planet would turn into a big ice ball covered with frozen oxygen and nitrogen, as well as frozen water.

    And then there is the sad reality, that it is impossible to reason with unreasonable people.

    Everyone refrains from counseling violence just before they council violence as the only course of action left to free men. Perhaps we should do a bit more of ‘cutting to the chase’. We are at war with these horribly misguided idiots and time is running out.
    The fact is that we are at the point of no return. The Eco-communists and their elitist marionette masters (Gore, Strong, Suzuki, Obama, the UN …) who are taking over the western world are not going to change their minds because of anything that might be said. Rather, they need to be dragged kicking and screaming to different point of view (not likely to happen) or simply beaten into submission … More likely to happen at great expense and loss of life.
    The one-world forces using environmental concerns as their guiding light are trying to kill us. That is not over-stated either. If you want to eliminate a species, just deprive them of habitat and means for survival and they die. That is precisely what the Green Movement is doing.
    We cannot just stand there and let it happen like the Jews did in Germany about 70 years ago.
    In my view, the time for talking about this is over. We have to fight back in a big way now. We can start by electing better leaders if possible, but that may not be enough.
    Every so often, human civilization must rise up to change the course of history. Now is one of those times.
    I am not counseling violence, I am perusing historical fact. The shit will hit the fan soon enough without my counsel. Who will win will be anyone’s guess. Humanity has spend much more of it’s time being ruled by bastards than it has being a free species enjoying it’s time on the planet.
    The bastards are working hard and they mean to win the day while we are being polite and trying to show that we are more tolerant and peaceful. That is not winning it for us.
    Any thoughts on that?

    But when I get to the Tom Nelson blog spot, the link at the first article goes nowhere:
