I’m up to my ears in travel and work until Monday – posting will be slow as a result. Get over to the blogroll and expand your blogging horizons. (Or get off the computer and expand your horizons – even better!)

Ahhhh, the joys of an independent business owner; you get to work weekends too. Mind you, it’s not like it will be a warm and sunny weekend out there in Soakedatchewan.
The beaches of Lake Michigan are not as pretty as I remembered.

I’d love to get off the computer and get outdoors, but global warming has dealt us another scorcher today in central Alberta: 2 degrees and a rain/snow mixture.
Stay safe, Kate!
Canadian conservatism needs you at SDA!!
Conrad Black and Barbara Amiel may regain their Canadian Citizenship, eh?
Conrad is another voice Canadian conservatism could use!
Geez, what will Tom Clark and Martha Hall Findlay at CTV “Powerplay” have to say about that?
the heat is on.
President Obama said Thursday that the White House is preparing to issue a formal explanation regarding the allegation that it offered Rep. Joe Sestak a job to drop out of the Democratic primary race against Sen. Arlen Specter.
“There will be an official response shortly on the Sestak matter,” Obama said, “I mean shortly — I don’t mean weeks or months. … I can assure the public that nothing improper took place.”
Sestak, repeated his allegation in an interview on Sunday, but also declined to elaborate.
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who has been leading the charge for more details on the allegation, said he hopes Obama’s pending response “will detail what conversations were had with Congressman Sestak.”
“If what the president said is true and nothing ‘improper’ took place, Adm. Sestak’s credibility will be called into significant question,” Issa said in a statement.

(You can bribe a Congressman/Citizen with money into his campaign coffers,
or pay off his districts social programs,
but if you offer him a job to drop out of a Senate race, you can get 1-5 years in prison.)

Obama could have 6 more years with 4 off for good behavior.

Alas. The trench between my bedroom and my computer desk is too deep.
alas, my hovercraft is full of eels…..so I won’t be able to take any time off…
I saw the Noonan piece this morning Fred. Back during the turmoil of the late 60’s, President Johnson commented, “If I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost America”. Chairman Zero has lost Peggy Noonan and I couldn’t be happier. (Of course it’s only a matter of time before someone in the lefty MSM declares Noonan as a shill for the GOP).
The payback of buyers remorse will be a bitch for the left and I’ll be right there, grinding my heel into thier thick heads, constantly reminding them that they melted thier gold for a phoney prophet who sold them a bag of magic beans.
Just wait until Shaniqua, or whatever her name was, when she finds out Obama won’t be paying her mortgage or gassing up her car. It won’t be pretty. It will make the Rodney King riots look like a picnic.
more time OFF for personal life away from SDA, this repetative behaviour of abandoning the faithfull is gitting a little tedious. The faithfull may have to buy some chains and……..!!!!:-))
Yes, there come times when blogging must take a back seat to a quirky problem I have called “paying the bills”. Sorry about that.
Hey everyone, not to be off topic, but run on over to National Post sports to sign a petition to get the NHL to play O Canada at the Stanley Cup Finals.
J. Begley; “alas, my hovercraft is full of eels…..so I won’t be able to take any time off…”
Aptly named ‘The Eel Wind’?
