  4. Well you know, there -is- a reason why the whole of England turned Tory blue on the election this year. (Except for the Asian parts, of course.) I’d say that being too pussy to call things by their right names is right up there in the top ten.
    The basic problem with Leftists is they think people are generally stupid. This leads them to believe that people can be told transparent falsehoods to keep them quiet.
    Problem is, when some Labour MP gets stabbed by “some random woman”, everybody knows it wasn’t some random Christian woman upset over Labour’s treatment of Christ in the workplace.
    This is why Leftists have to -buy- votes, and why they always fall out of power when the cookie jar runs low.

    Obama and his administration have sent a clear signal,”we will negotiate” until Hell freezes over.
    Obama may not BE a Muslim, but he certainly sympathizes with their grievances,a better position for the Leader of Pakistan or Iran,than the U.S.

    Perhaps your post was sarcasm but think about it.
    The Spanish had a few centuries of this crap….considering the current events….the Spanish Inquisition should be viewed from a different prespective…omitting the heresy/anti-semitism stuff of course.
    How many “conversos” did this sorta thing?

  11. I strongly second batb’s suggestion that Readers watch the longer (ten minute) video that Blair links to of the attack on Lars Vilks. (Also on YouTube here.) It’s highly relevant to Eric Holder’s idiotic statement “There are a variety of reasons why I think people have taken these actions.”

    The BBC is reporting only that it was a woman that has been charged with this offense. Nothing else to see.
    and… Lars Vilks house was set on fire last night by … oh who are we kidding? Some islamists tried to set his house on fire with gasoline, breaking windows… but it seems they’re just as bright as the rest of the bunch. Couldn’t set a fire with gasoline? uff.

  15. Re the British MP stabbed by a knife-wielding Muslim woman, the Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, said:
    “Why do you stab somebody? You go in to see somebody who is trying to help people and you stab him. Why do you do that? I think there are mental health issues. I can’t imagine any other reason.”
    He’s on the right track. He just needs to learn to extrapolate.

    They still serve a purpose to identify some larger stories, but then you have to turn to blogs to find the “real truth”
    These bloggers are often close to the site of origin of the event, and have greater knowledge of the context.

    My suggestion is “the Avignon Presidency” … that being a bit more restrained than “the Babylonian Captivity”
