Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Al (I’m not doing an interview right now) Gore needs to have his lunch to bulk up (more) for the coming global ‘colding’ sorry I must meen warming.
Yeah, like he couldn’t forgo lunch just this once, and does he really need these guys running interference, or do they just clear his way to the dessert bar?
Guess Big Al didn’t want to do an interview on an empty stomach, the rest of us had better be sure to listen to him on an empty stomach.
BOO-YA!
hehehehe “i’m not doing an interview right now”
“i’m not doing an interview right now”
“i’m not doing an interview right now”
Well yeah, you just did.
He was almost convincing hisself no?
“I’m not doing an interview right now” = “Please insert credit card and I’ll be happy to yammer on”.
You can’t blame Big Al for not wanting to do an interview on his way to lunch,or anything else. The Press is at times very intrusive and they can’t expect everyone to accommodate them.
But, Did you hear Big Al quite clearly say he’ll “consider” appearing on the O’Reilly show?
O’Reilly should invite him, and halfway through the interview, suddenly spring a “surprise guest who wants to debate you” and have Christopher Monckton walk onto the set.
The look on Big Al’s face,I predict, would be priceless!
It’s a joy to see Fat Al jump like a bee stung hog.
That “journalist” is an idiot punk.
If someone did that type of thing to Harper I think it would be just as idiotic.
It’s just puerile, plain and simple, and should be thrown in the dustbin, and I’ll never get those 30 seconds back again.
What he means is; “I don’t do spontanious interviews”.
What is it with narcissistic Dems and the need for teleprompters and scripted Q&As?
Al put the Demagogue the Dem party.
How much did Jesus charge for the sermon on the mount?
How about Ghandi, how much did he charge?
Al gets $125,000.00 a speech, or at least he used to.
Good for Fox. They should keep after him.
Not sure if it was the camera angle, but Gore sure looks like he has put on weight. Heck, isn’t all that excess eating bad for the planet?
The man is a stinking hypocrite to his core. That is the main reason why he avoids nearly all interviews.
You have to wonder how such a person can sleep at night, but I suppose having no conscience solves that problem.
How do you handle a hungry man?
The Gore handlers!
Run, Al, RUN, you big chicken sh*t!!!
Reporters have to resort to “ambush” journalism in Fat Al’s case, because he REFUSES to do any interview that might challenge him….I doubt very much he’ll go on O’Reilly’s show. (Although I don’t think he would get questioned too hard, Bill’s getting quite soft as of late)
God, nature, gaia has a means of control and the consequences of Gore’s weight just might be it.
Erik Larsen, that “kind of thing” has been done to Harper and other conservatives continuously for the last 15 years, except its done with a far bigger budget, with questions and assertations that have no basis in reality, and is marketed as hard news.
One has no option but to approach Gore in this way since he will not answer tough questions (not that he ever gets asked them by the MSM), do interviews, or debate.
Al doesn’t do interviews, Oprah doesn’t do walking or do stairs. I think America needs new leaders, ones that do. Al has never done interviews, he has known it’s a scam from the beginning.
ward, I agree, and I think my phraseology wasn’t right. I don’t like it for Harper, and I don’t like it for Gore. One question is enough, and then the guy can just talk to the camera and say, “Al Gore refuses to answer questions, we have approached him xxx times, blah blah blah blah”.
But by constantly needling Gore, it just irritates and annoys me, and he just reinforces that he has zero credibility.
The ultimate climate justice; Big Al on Beck being Gored by Monckton.
Better yet; Big Al laughed off the stage where ever he goes.
It takes a brave journalist to intrude between man-pig and his lunch.
It’s telling that small dead minds would find these rude and vacuous ambushes from the sorry sacks of shite of the I’ll do it live crew so amusing.
As much as I detest the Goracle, I too, hate the “ambush” journalism. If any interviewee stops to give an impromptu interview then virtually nothing would get done. Remember, the PM didn’t go for the parliamentary “scrums” and that was nothing more than an organized ambush.
Mind you, after saying that, seeing the goracle ambushed by Marg Delahunty would be humorous. Tacky, juvenile and embarassing (for Canadians) but funny in a Monty Python sort of way.
JMD that’s Man-Bear-Pig.
As much as I enjoy seeing Algore being badgered, had it been me, I’d have dropped that kid. He was begging for it, and its a measure of how far our society has fallen that he can get away with it.
An @sshole is an @sshole, no matter what network’s sticker is on the camera. There’s no need for that kind of behavior, ever. Its lefty-style, and shouldn’t be encouraged.
Big AL has the look, the body language of a Mafia don. This is a profoundly dishonest man. He needs handlers not for personal security but to guard the lie.
My long-held theory is that he’s actually insane due to his loss to the putatively moronic W. Imagine the humility, the pain. And, er, he failed to carry his own state I believe.
Big Al’s behaviour is best understood as revenge, getting even, in making as much crooked dough as possible through the political process. And he probably feels he bitterly disappointed his dead father who groomed him for the top job.
An ambush ?? He was just asking simple questions.
It seemed like an ambush because Al Gore being questioned is so extraordinary. He has been protected by the liberal-fascist crowd for years. Especially the liberal fascist media.
The real question is “Why is it that leftist regimes always demand the same type of illogical and damned-to-fail policies?”
Kelly O’Connell may have the answer;
“The fact is policy outcomes are not nearly as important as the sacrificial religious element found within. In brief, neo-liberalism is a humanistic religion, with its chief ideas stolen from Christianity, which encourages its adherents to see themselves as a small band of self-proclaimed geniuses.”
And so, they do not have to answer questions.
Al wouldn’t get ambushed if he would answer his critics. It’s his own fault.
The watermelons are not used to sleazy ambush journalism because they and the MSM “believe” that they are on the side of Gaia, a religion for which, there is no separation of church and state. To think that we were a few voter shards away from having that psychopath in the White House in 2000…
As I watch the daily feeding frenzy that the media is conducting on the remains of Helena Guergis, I can only shake my head.
At the end of the day Guergis will be a footnote, with little ability to affect my life other than as an irritant as a result of her handling of her ministry.
Al Gore and his working group – the IPCC and media – if they were to be successful in their desires would profoundly change my, and every other persons life.
Some call AGW a hoax or a fraud, but I prefer to think of it as an attempted coup on the West, that if successful would see us transfer our national, economic and technological sovereignty to the UN.
We still face this possibility because Al Gore and every other AGW propagandist are not required to answer any bothersome questions of why their alarmist predictions all failed to come true, or what they knew about the outright falsification and manipulation of data.
Keeping control of the worlds life blood out of the hands of the likes of Gore and the UN is a good thing, and if Gore et al are not exposed as the frauds they are, then the potential for the implementation of Copenagen or some other accord continues to exist.
So given the stakes in the game, I think this “ambush” (which would be nothing more than a simple but tough interview if Al stopped to answer questions)is a necessary thing.
Yet the medias attention continues to be focused away from the AGW coup on low level “scandals” like Guergis.
Hey phantom if I was that “kid” would you take a swing at me? What an armchair hero. PFFFFT!
The questions fat Al needs to answer are from a lawyer in front of a judge.
Everything wrong about Al Gore can be summed up in this Time Magazine picture.
Three energy sucking flat screen monitors in front of him and an energy sucking flat screen tv behind him that he’s not watching. Plus have the cut forest of British Columbia thrown across his desk…
It was ambush journalism, period.
“There is a certain Divine Providence that protects fools, drunks, idiots and the United States of America.”
This would be the most likely reason the Al-Goracle couldn’t carry his own state or the presidency.
Divine Providence does not protect AGW frauds…
Al-Goracle should go back to Bible College.
Prosit!

Personally I didn’t think the interview/ambush was news worthy at all. I do agree with O’Reilly that Gore does have a responsibility to answer his critics.

What is truly “telling”, is how you find the aforementioned comments “telling” about the commenter’s at SDA. Had I never read any of your comments(I wish), I’m quite sure by simply reading your comment here today, that I could easily assess most, if not all of your political beliefs.
“Telling” is damn right!
Run Al, run.
Run away.
Might burn a few calories in the process.
It’s funny how soft we have become, and also how we readily accept abuse of the English language.
A reporter following a crooked man like Al Gore for all of one whole minute is said to “ambush” him.
Terrorists are called “freedom fighters”.
Daycare is now called “early childhood learning”.
A conservative is a “racist”, and a democrat is a “progressive”.
And so on.
Time for a new course in schools where we teach the next generation to better respect the English language, and to not be fooled by misuse of words.
Gore has perpetuated, and profited from, the questionable theory of AGW. He has appeared before political committees recommending draconian changes to American taxation and energy policy — changes which would impact every man, woman and child in the U.S. and abroad. This includes me, and my family, since my country, Canada, would necessarily have to follow the U.S. over the cap-and-tax policy cliff.
Yet, Gore chooses not to be directly challenged on his views. He chooses not to debate. He chooses not to be interviewed, except only by the most ‘friendly’ of so-called journalists.
If the MSM wasn’t so corrupt, Gore wouldn’t have to be “ambushed”. He would either have been long-since shamed into shutting the hell up, or forced to confront hardball interviewers.
So, no. I have no sympathy for Gore in this situation, or those who would argue he was “ambushed”.
Did you ever notice Al doesn’t do interviews without a audience studded with supporters. He never takes questions and just assumes everyone agrees with him. Oh well
Earth hour losing its lustre.

I’ve had my phil of being civil to leftists.
For decades we on the right have tried to present our side of the argument with decency and civility. The left on the other hand is so radically uncivil as to give common folk pause.
Since civility is no longer practiced by the left, they better get used to being hammered in return.
I’m quite sure by simply reading your comment here today, that I could easily assess most, if not all of your political beliefs.
Go ahead, make my day. It should be good for a chuckle or two.
If phildo dislikes it,then I’m all for it.How the hell else can the public get some answers about this scam, the MSM has already swallowed globull warming so don’t look for any objectivity there.
I guess it will be at least 2010, possibly 2012, before racketeering charges are laid against Gore et. al.
So who invented “ambush journalism” for their own nefarious ends? Legitimate professional journalists, or leftist hacks like Michael Moore? They created the weapon, let’s use it against them.
“How much did Jesus charge for the sermon on the mount?
How about Ghandi, how much did he charge?
Al gets $125,000.00 a speech, or at least he used to.

Stan, neither of those gentlemen won the Nobel or an Oscar. By today’s standards, Al’s a WAY bigger draw.
Unfortunately.
AGWhore should welcome the practice gained from answering all questions. Many of them will be asked again during his future grand jury appearances.
“For decades we on the right have tried to present our side of the argument with decency and civility.”
You cannot discuss issues civilly with the left because they are disingenuous about their beliefs and goals.
Those that would typically entertain a civil discussion of issues today find themselves in the same tent, thus the fissure on the right between fiscal and social conservatives. The so called “conservative parties” in North America are hardly that, they are in fact the compromise between Classic Liberals and Classic Conservatives, and are just labelled “conservative”. True conservatives like Ron Paul and HardBoiled make their names by pointing this out. The fact is, liberalism has been usurped by communists, which resulted in Classic Liberals migrating to the aforementioned conservative parties. Unfortunately the disinterested citizen is unaware of this fact and are therefore highly susceptible to the Orwellian manipulation and perversion of key Classic Liberal terms. Communists using language to mislead the public, go figure.
Where the disingenuousness comes into play is pertaining to motive, or the end game. Liberal leaders , advocates and activists know that IF North Americans were privy to their core beliefs and desires, we’d likely have them hung; therefore, they move under the guise of tolerance and social justice.
So there you have it! You can’t have a civil conversation with someone who is outright lying to you. We can assume no longer that we SHARE the goals of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Phil
I said “I wish” I hadn’t read any of your previous comments. I wouldn’t be guessing.
Is this the same Al Gore who lives in a palatial and completely “ungreen” homestead while suckers turn their lights off for an hour?
Chump….
