Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Is There Nothing That Obama Can’t Do?
Yes Kate. He can’t keep his lies straight when flowing from his mouth. To many have escaped to count, least of all keep uncluttered together.
Barry…
You and I are going to have one hell of a discussion one day.
You won’t need your telepromptor. I’ll be doing the talking.
Capiche?
It’s a pity that Amateur Hour in D.C. is going to last four full years.
nv53, there’s a chance at the midterms a little over a year from now, the Democrats will get tossed out of the House and Senate, and the Big O will become a lame duck.
You’re right Pete @ 9:15 pm. You forgot to add that it was Southern Democrats that legislated Jim Crow laws which segregated the blacks from the whites.
Why won’t he include the clergy in his discussion groups, if he really is “partnered” with God?
DemocRATs like Pelosi can be forgiving for rejecting town-hall dissent as “astroturfing”….popular, spontaneous protest is beyond their comprehension…..they assume everybody plays by their rules…..
“When people pool their passions and independently form the framework of a movement, the result can still end up in the hands of a national organization. The best example may be last fall, when a genuine army of grassroots networkers assembled in unprecedented numbers in living rooms and online to promote Barack Obama’s candidacy. The summer before the election, more than 700 niche online groups—Sacramento Kings fans for Obama, Winelovers for Obama—had formed to plan local campaign events. But what followed was logistically predictable: recognizing the groups as a foundation that had already been built, Obama campaign officials moved in to manage the groups—helping them with voter-registration drives and trying to get leaders airtime. Many of the group organizers saw the top-down approach as interference, essentially diluting the genuineness of their efforts.”

I see John wrecked my “no Lefties” prediction. Ah well, fools rush in…
John, you do realize that the Left stole the word “liberal” and ruined its meaning, don’t you? The modern “liberal” is characterized by a relentless pursuit of centralized control of everything and everyone. They are authoritarian, pro government, anti-freedom and hugely intolerant of dissent.
In a former age they were called “Conservatives”, because they sought to “conserve” the power of the Crown and their own authority as the nobility.
People labeled conservatives these days are pro-freedom, anti-government and seeking to “conserve” their liberty. In a former age they were suppressed by the Crown, these days they are suppressed by Liberals, the new elite.
That’d be the same elite that thinks people are too feeble and stupid to spend their own money going to the doctor.
Troll again some time, eh John?
