Oh yuck.
I used to get their newsletters asking for funding and always wondered where they got my name and address (at the time, I think my husband and I subscribed to McLean’s; maybe that was it).
I always sent the letter back with a letter of my own, saying why it was I was NOT a friend of the CBC and that I had no intention of sending them any monetary support.
‘Never heard back from them–a personal letter, I mean. I wonder why not?
