Bias isn’t the term!! The most obvious is CBC. From the bright “Red and white” to the subliminal “Stephane Dion is not a moron” rhetoric, they’ve embedded themselves into the minds of Canucks.
In the last two weeks, they’ve (CBC-Radio-Canada) slammed Harper on at least 10 issues during “The National.” The Sask. CBC tried with Brad Wall and the Sask Party, going as far as broadcasting a poll (last night-Nov.01-07) that indicated 39% undecided. Hours later a reliable poll indicated less than 20% undecided with SP at 51%.
Now CBC is digging up Mulroney’s past on an issue that he’s already been cleared of Why? To bash Harper.
I do however beleive that the Blogs such as this one will soon overpower the mainstream media.
CBC needs a 50% budget cut to help adjust their attitude!!
Another good reason for avoiding the msm is not wanting to tolerate the kind of junk that turns up on it. Look at what’s turned up on CNN and local television in New Hampshire in the last couple of days.

Except of course when it augurs in favour of the “Natural Governing Party” ie the LIEberals.
The CBC couldn’t present an unbiased report if their life depended on it. But of course if their budget depends upon it, then by all means heave ho on the Conservatives.
Next they will come up with something ridiculous like “Der Sturmer” was balanced and objective reporting.
The worst culprit has gotta be the Western Producer. A friend of mine was recentlty insulted in a letter to the editor by a well known socialist, CWB-NDP blah blah supporter.
When my buddy, (who simply wanted to correct lies that had printed against him,) sent in a letter to the Ed. of the WP, she refused to print it.
I’ve also been told by reliable sources that during the great debate surrounding the barley plebiscite, many letters to the WP from those who opposed the CWB were never printed, or severley edited. Don’t you think it’s time the public spoke out!!!
What really upsets me is that while the WP comes on as the socialist farmer’s friend, they do accept ads from Dupont, Bayer, John Deere and all the major corporations. Ads that keep the WP alive!
That there is bias, is not in doubt —- but why ?
A case of tayloring the product to the buying audience/consumer ?
That the media has taken the Tabloid route is also not in doubt.
Just think — what would the buyers of Tabloids at the check-out counter be interested in ?

Kevin Newman managed a short comment tonight which he injected into the piece on Harper responding to the Libs about holding an inquiry on Mulroney.
The remark was an absolute viewpoint of Mewman, very short but his personal bias on that matter slipped into the story as it related to Harper’s statement in the clip.
One small sample of MSM shaping the news, rather than simply reporting.
It’s not new, but at least the blogging community can now quickly focus attention as it happens.

THe CBC doesn’t worry me. It’s Murray Rotten Teeth Mandrake and the unbias reporting of the Leader Post. How would you small dead assholes feel if all the news media was for the NDP not just one station which is usually Liberal? We in the cities pay most of the taxes and we have the most to lose with the Sask?Tory party. They don’t even claim to like working joes, ones with T4’s.
The NDP are ahead in the cities. That’s where the real taxpayers are not rich landowners who don’t even pay the GST and can deduct everything. We who have a T4 don’t have a lot of deductions and pay more per acre in taxes than do farmers.
