I’ll bet you missed this on last night’s national news;
To commemorate September 11th, people from around Europe had planned to do something about the things they weren’t happy with – in this case, it was to demonstrate against the Islamization of Europe. Naturally, their demonstration was banned by Brussels’ government and the riot police were sent out to meet the demonstrators:
The grey-haired man whom we see being attacked by the police first is Luk Van Nieuwenhuysen, the Vice-President of the Flemish Parliament. Shortly afterwards we see the police maltreating Frank Vanhecke, a member of the European Parliament and the party leader of the Vlaams Belang. We see how he is handcuffed and pushed into a police bus. Afterwards we also see the police “taking care” of Filip Dewinter, the VB group leader in the Flemish Parliament. We see how his arm gets caught between the closing doors of the bus. An Italian MEP and a French MEP were also arrested. The demonstrators were kept in cells for seven hours and released this evening.

Let’s just put it this way. When I start my one man protest against islamoidiocy, it will take more than a couple of euroweeniecops to arrest me. They were successful in having me remove my “infidel” bumper sticker(could not risk a second confrontation on the highway with the kids in the car), but once I start my protest(in the spring)it should bring all the idiots out of the woodwork. As well, you all will get to see my pretty face, because I can guarantee press coverage!
penny – I don’t mean ‘winning’ in the political or military sense. I mean ‘winning’ in a pragmatic economic sense.
Islamism – as a system that combines church and state, within Sharia law, and an ideology that rejects reason, individualism, entrepreneurship etc – is unable to operate within an industrial economy. So- if they become ‘in control’ of Europe – then, my point is that this ideology cannot operate an industrial economy.
The so-called industrial economies of the ME states are fake industrial. That is, there is only one item being sold. Oil. And the technology, expertise, knowledge, science, and money to extract and process that oil – comes from the West. Not from the Islamic states – because they reject science, reason, technology etc.
Then – they do not develop their own set of scientists, technologists etc – but instead, redistribute the profits from the oil to the population – keeping them ‘peasants’ or ‘slaves’ so to speak.
Now – Europe doesn’t have oil. It requires indivdiual entrepreneurship, innovations, new technologies. If a gov’t moves in that rejects education, science, individualism, questions, debate etc – then – the economy can’t function.
So – my point is that an Islamist mode of governance can’t run an industrial economy. And, since the population of Europe- and the world – requires an industrial economy – then???
ET – it is possible that over the decades as Islam carves out more real estate for itself in Europe it could eventually become a space where industry and technology decline. It will be a better place than the ME because the dhimmi serf minority will keep services running with some measure of western efficiency for awhile. I realize I’m painting a very pessimistic scenario shaded by my utter contempt for European sheeple.
I can’t see where this will end in Europeans favor unless something totally catastrophic lights a fuse and galvanizes these fools to do something. It will be interesting to see after this glaring act of state fascism in Brussels just what Europeans will do with the information. I’m not holding my breath.

My prediction is at least the possibiity of a new dark ages. I don’t think Islamofascists care about production, commerce or innovation in the least.
It’s all about control. Whipped and cowering masses are alright with them, since as has always been true with those of a fascist bent, they all believe they’ll be the exception – the one in power who lords it over the masses.

The hearsay claim that “there are 18 members of the Brussels city council” is wrong. See for yourself the full list of city council members:

In reality, there are 47 people (if I didn’t make a counting mistake). BUT: there are indeed 18 socialists among those councillors: 17 from PS (Socialist Party) and one guy from Mouvement socialiste (Socialist Movement). But the supposed 10/18 majority is still quite different from the actual (again by my counting) 13/47 minority.

On the other hand Mr. Steyn and Gates of Vienna blog did correctly note that these councillors are only those from the governing Socialist caucus. Ms. Shaidle doesn’t offer comments on her blog, and I’m not willing to e-mail her, so now it is up to you to pass the correct information along. (I used the Wikipedia entry for City_of_Brussels to find the city home page. Now I see that a commenter on Gates of Vienna also gave the link to the councillors’ list.)
