Police in Canada’s most populous province have the right to seize and destroy any car that has been modified for street racing, Ontario’s top prosecutor claims.
“If we can establish someone has parts and they’re juicing up their car — obviously for the purpose of street racing — then we can seize those vehicles,” Ontario Attorney General Michael Bryant said Wednesday, according to the Canadian Press.
“We will seize it and you will never see it again. We will crush your car, we will crush the parts.”
“We don’t need to wait until that car hits the road fully loaded,” he said, adding that modified cars are as dangerous as explosives, capable of causing catastrophic damage.
Mr. Bryant was also an architect of Ontario’s recent pit bull ban, which was designed to “protected from the menace” of “dangerous dogs,” which he characterized as “nothing but a loaded weapon waiting to go off.”

Jeff before you start name calling you should read the criminal code definitions and criteria for conspiracy … it involves concrete evidence and a plot by more than one individual…clearly street racing cannot be conspiratorial.
Secondly criminal conspiracy is a matter of the criminal law cosed which are the sole jurisdiction of federal parliament, not the provincial legislature which is restricted to writing misdemenor regulatory statute…which is what the hiway traffic act is…not that shitheels like Bryant like to act like they can write criminal.
What bryant has done is written first constitutionally unsound law because it violate charter guarantees of fundamental justice, burden of proof and cruel and unusual punishment…second he has created a harsh misdemenor law with a criminal penalty (arbitrary confiscation without compensation)
So in pith and substance any such law would be unconstitutional and become ultra vires in penalty enforcement.
Seems to me Bryant and McGuinty should be incarcerated for their intent to violet our Constitutional rights.

Specialty Vehicle Owners- If you own a Street Rod, Pro-Street,Muscle Car, Sport Bike,Sport Compact Or a Performanced Enhanced,Lifted or Lowered Truck.
Bill 203– To reduce “street racing”, and in their haste they are allowing police to charge you & seize your vehicle for Anything they think is racing,stunting,or a contest. We all agree that street racing is just plain stupid in todays traffic, but now the police can inpound your vehicle & crush it for burnouts, donuts,Squealing Tires, Motorcycle Wheelies or anything that Gets their attention. As a result many police will harass you in an attempt to get rid your vehicle, Thus (Supposedly) reducing street racing.
THEY Don’t even have to stop you when they see you, they can seize your vehicle days or weeks later, Even from private property- That’s allowed in the new law.
There is NO Appeal to this license suppension Or impoundment Because the Officers word is the final word- Period!
Bryan’t has said that “Car Junkies who pour thousands of dollars into their vehicles are wasting their money” & he compared shops that modify vehicles to Illegal Drug Labs & Bomb Factories”
All this despite the fact that almost all accidents that have been blamed on st. racing have involved Stock, UnModified cars. Many of them not even High performance models, Being Driven RECKLESSLY by IDIOTS who have no respect for anyone’s life or Saftey.
This Heavy-Handed approach by MTO, The AG. & esspecially the police will result in Uwarranted charges, Licence Suppensions, Vehicle Impoundments, & harrasement of LAW ABIDING Owners of Specialty Vehicles all across Ont. & the pottential loss of business for the specialty shops who sell the parts & services you want.
Also remember this will pertain to those that want to improve the Performce of their Truck.
