I’ve mentioned before that motivation is the Achilles heel of the Liberal campaign. Are we detecting a limp?
The morning rally was the first the Liberals have staged in British Columbia since the campaign began. Although the supporters managed to create a cacophony of sound with the balloons distributed by the party for that purpose, the gathering was small by election campaign standards – the 19 candidates in attendance made up a substantial proportion of the crowd.
But that didn’t stop Mr. Martin from seeing the event in a positive light.

The ariticle also mentions that Martin rallies are accompanied by the music of U2, implying that Martin has no shame: he uses he music, notwithstanding the fact that he lied to Sir Bonneau, he describes the rally as successful, notwithstadning the dismal turnout, he states that mr Harpers cannot be PM becasue of SSM, notwithstanding his own dithering and the conflicted views of his caucus, the Canadian public, legal experts and the Courts (Martin knows, of course, that the Conservative position is that marraige will be reserved as exclusively a union between a man and a woman, but that all benefits and rights and corresponding obligations will vest in same sex unions: the Supreme Court did not say that marraige had to be granted to members of the same gender, only that thr rights associated with marriage had to).
Mr Dithers loves Canada, notwthstanding his flags of convenience and outsourcing to China, he is attacking the democratic deficit, notwithstanding BS walking the floor, patronage appointments, comfy fur, Ignatieff, etc, he’s a prudent fiscal manager, notwithstanding his use of billions of taxpayers dollars in a crass attempt ot buy votes, he will improve Canada/Us relations, make them more mature, notwithstanding the fact that he will act like a teenage C Parrish when his back is to the wall, he will end Western Alienation, notwithstadning the fact that the will appoint liberal friends and not W elected senators, he will fix health care a generation, notwithstadning that he uses a private clinic and vows to keep the rest of us in one-tier pergatory, and he will very very clearly end corruption, mad as hell, notwithstadning the fact that he will not allow scrituny of CSL or Earsncliff and will not make any institutional changes to end the culture of liberal entitlement, and will only act when forced to. I could go on, but need more coffee.
We might decry the MSM bias regularly but these people are not all idiots. Articles like this seem to indicate that the Liberal message is not gaining traction with all of the MSM. They are involved far more than ordinary citizens with the campaigns. They are in a better position to sense which way the wind is blowing. I’m going to have to start reading the Red Star.

Causing the rise of seperatism, then “passionately” scolding Duceppe about his plans for seperation.
Wagging his finger at the U.S. on the environment, while the U.S. grossly outperforms us.
Chastising Harper on SSM as his own MP’s join Harper’s position in droves.
Calling the reduction of the GST “regressive”, while previously shouting that very term from the rooftops when that tax was instituted.
The no shame campaign indeed.
cacophony of sound with balloons? What noise were they making with balloons–did they blow them up and stretch the end open to let the air escape? This makes a farting sound–something my kids did to howls of laughter from all of them. Is this the noise the crowd made? Would this not in effect be giving Martin a ‘raspberry’ rather than cudos? Wish the media would describe this ‘cacophony’ for us.

Like a debate in parliament , the cameras were never turned to reveal the meagre crowd. The supporters stand in a pack behind PMPM.
It’s bloody freezing here,for one thing. But there was no beer and popcorn, so nobody showed.
I’m at a loss as to why the mop and pail-Star would broadcast subliminal anti-Martin messaging. Martin may be a wlaking pile of crap in Forsheims but he IS all the guardians of the Trudeaupian single party statists have to work with. With Layton wanting to turn Canada into a bankrupt version of Cuba and Harper wanting to tumple the icon of Trudeaupia (undmeocractic concentration of power and central policy control) they only have the Dithering mass of human foibles who has rolled in his own excrement for the last year.
I can’t bring myself to belive thay are negative messaging Martin….unless this fits into a larger plan that incorporates the always present ulterior motives of the media guard who have been charged with obscuring the malignant unspoken agenda of the single party statists . It is their job to usher in the reality of the single party state.
In that regaurd, Yes I see old Trudeaupian war horses like Copps and Parrish penning many anti Martin articles and uncomplimentary commentary and now this new subliminal negitivity from the liberal media.
Perhaps the plan is to lose this one to a minority CPC government, use this as an excuse to turf Dithers and get a “dynasty” leader who will Take a majority in 2-3 years time when people forget Adscam and Dithers…there ARE liberal leadership dark horses out there being groomed by the Trudeaupian guard of the single party state…can you say PM “Justin”…can you say 2nd liberal dynasty starting in in 2009?

Cannabis users’ rights to privacy
An Executive Assistant to a sitting cabinet minister up for re-election came to Cannabis Culture with this Confidential Memorandum to all employees of the Liberal Party of Canada.

On 12-09-2005 an executive motion from the leadership of the party was adopted that may or may not affect you. The executive motion is as follows:
(i) Sanctioned by the Executive Committee of the Liberal Party of Canada and put into effect by an executive motion; pursuant to the party’s constitution and bylaws. Put into effect now, with a grace period until 01-26-2006. Employees and “paid members” of the Liberal Party of Canada shall refrain from consumption; in any form, of the narcotic substance called cannabis (marijuana).
(ii) This executive motion allows for in-office testing for the said substance. In addition employees suspected of other narcotic substance use may also be tested for the suspected substance.
(iii) Employees who have tested positive for scheduled substances may be terminated. Employees who have been terminated may appeal their termination.
(iv) If terminated under this executive motion he/she is entitled to full salary renumeration owed by the party.
I have scheduled testing at LPCBC for 01-26-2006 between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Thank you for your time.

Bless you, Dave. I knew it wasn’t just me that thinks Martin appears disinterested and “far away” when having to speak to the masses….He always looks like it is a huge effort for him to respond to any question that he hasn’t rehearsed the answer to—Scott Reid better advise him on that…
With Martin, he addresses the issues verrry carefully, taking way too much time to think about who he is going to alienate or offend. The result is usually a generic,dull response–specifics are not his strong point. (Which is very similar to his predecessor) And sadly, as expected, he is taking his shots at our friends south of the border. Martin needs to understand and promote the fact that Canadians can be patriotic without being anti-American. Until he learns that, he will never be much of a leader, whether he is the PM or not.
