Look it up. Check out how your local property taxes are spent by your Municipal Government at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Tell your local government no more tax dollars for the FCM and no more trips funded by your tax dollars for anything to do with FCM. Defund the FCM.

  2. The CBC has a White Supremacy Alert for Saskatoon!
Nonpartisan experts (a university professor and a Muslim man who helps Syrian migrants) are worried!

“The symbols that they use, the language that they use and the ideology that they’re drawing from are all really obviously speaking to white supremacy,” said Sheelah McLean, who refers to herself as a “white settler” and is a well-known academic whose work focuses on settler colonialism and racism.

McLean says it appears the group is trying to push an agenda of erasure — one that focuses on Western settlers building Canada as a nation and ignoring the country’s history of slavery, colonial genocide and of the immigrants of colour who helped form Canada.

“Racism, racial violence, anti-Indigenous racism, anti-black racism and Islamophobia are prevalent across Canada and it’s something many people have been working to address for a very long time,” she said. ”

    1. It is Sheelah not Sheila you bigoted racist. Report yourself to re-education facility at once citizen.

    2. White “settler”, eh? Any bets that’s her family’s been here for several generations?

What would she know about coming to a new country, one with a language different than one’s mother tongue, as well as new and strange customs and ways? Was she ever called rude names because she spoke with an accent or because of where she was born? Did she ever have to fight to prove herself worth of being in this country? Did she have to work hard to establish herself and build a reputation?

I rather doubt that she knows what that was like. I do, though, having experienced all that myself, but I guess that doesn’t count because I’m white.

      1. BA, I have started telling anyone who thinks they have a place at the table in advance of me, that if they are younger than me then I was here before them. In fact any Indian or immigrant younger than me got here after I got here. It is time to stop all the BS and start living productive useful lives.

        1. A month before the election the Libs opened the door to a couple 100 thousand new We We Were Here First Nations candidates.

But not all of the Elevated Status are happy: “We see it as a complete interference by the federal government of deciding identity, belonging and citizenship,” she said.
And another: “It does open the door, though, to folks that, for better or for worse, aren’t really Indigenous people anymore, in the sense that they’re not connected to community.”

        2. When the boat people fled Viet Nam over 40 years ago, Daddy Trudeau wanted to take some of them in, no questions asked. All they had to do was claim to be “refugees”.

I voiced my objections about this to certain people because the government didn’t seem particularly concerned as to whether those claims were legitimate. (Sound familiar?) My parents and I were also foreign-born, but we came through the front door and properly followed the rules, so I figured that anyone else who came to this country could do the same.

Did I convince those people? Nope. They were SJWs and, to them, all immigrants were equal but some were more equal than others. The boat people had, in their thinking, a greater right to be in this country than my parents and me.

Never mind that the Canadian government came to Europe to recruit skilled tradesmen and my parents were journeymen, just what this country was looking for back then. And, yes, we paid our dues after we got here.

But, that didn’t satisfy those people. We weren’t “real” immigrants, I suppose.

          1. Had a discussion some years back with a heavily indoctrinated younger native fellow. He was laying it on pretty thick about how his people owned everything. I let him have his say. When he was finished I said well that is good. But now what are you going to do with the 30 plus million WHITE MEN living on your land. His eyes got big, his jaw dropped he spun around and walked very quickly away.

          2. Boat people? I remember the 1980s. Vietnamese immigrants were huge in the illicit drug industry. A big percentage of murders were committed by Vietnamese immigrants but then I’m not supposed to notice.

          3. Scar:

We had a similar problem with Vietnamese gangs here in Edmonton during the 1990s, some incidents becoming quite violent.

I had a number of Vietnamese as students while I was teaching, some of whom might have been boat people. One in particular stood out. He was smart and hard-working, but he was also old enough to remember the war, which, I’m sure, made him that much more ambitious.

I crossed paths with him several years after he graduated. During that time, he married someone from the old country. They had two charming daughters and a mini-van complete with a Garfield stuck to one of the back windows.

He mentioned that he had no desire to go back to Viet Nam and settle there because it had become too expensive for him. My thought was that Canada was his home now and he had made a good life for himself and his family here. In that respect, he wasn’t much different than my parents.

          4. Canadastan is a confirmed shithole.
Too many indicators to disagree. Last federal elections confirmed this.
Millenials are dumb; they want everything free. I was at the North Bay airport parking last month in a snow storm coming back from a Mexican Tequila fueled vacation. Some fucktard 30 yo looking faggot was trying to leave in his Audi A6 and got stuck in the snow… Dumb fuck didn’t know how to rock D & R his way out. No wonder those idiots order food in a box like in those TV commercials. Canada is fucked.

      1. Funny, no one went nuts and tried to destroy such a basic comment. When Europeans came to America, the natives did not have written language, the wheel, and ate their dogs in winter when food was scarce. Too bad they were dragged into civilization.

    3. Another Self Loathing White Commie moron
      Just STFU already…

      Typical fodder for the CBC
      As per Ontrio John:
Canadians are Racist Bastards – Nothing new there eh..??

    1. I read that article, the most important line… “In the last three years the complex made four insurance claims totalling $11.7 million”… so human fantasy meets mathematical reality with results as inevitable as gravity. In a socialist paradise the government will operate all insurance, pay all claims, and people won’t have to pay any premiums at all.

    2. I saw that article and noted that the buildings were stick frame construction townhouses with NO concrete fire breaks. In the late 1970’s in Toronto, there were a number of very bad fires involving new construction or wood frame townhouses with NO fire breaks. The building code was changed so that every other separation wall was of concrete block to extend 4′-0″ above the roof line (to prevent the fire from jumping). When I moved to Calgary in 2002, I was appalled to see so many 4 storey condominium buildings constructed with NO fire breaks and NO wall extensions above the roof line. That summer, there were 2 very bad condominium fires. Was the law changed, no it was not. I advised people considering purchases of wood frame condominiums, that they were just a “big pile of firewood waiting for a match”. High rise condominiums are built of concrete and steel. That is the only purchase which I would consider.

      1. I’m amazed that the 100 plus unit wood frame apartment buildings can get insurance in Alberta. It seems like a couple per year burn down under construction each year. When I lived in Winnipeg, I first lived in a concrete constructed apartment, later moving to a rowhouse with concrete block firewalls between each unit. Some things just make sense.

The other thing they could do which should only add a few thousand to the average house would be no combustible materials on the exterior of a house. No exposed wood, no plastic siding that melts exposing paper and wood, and no asphalt shingles simply makes too much sense.

    3. The issue is cropping up in many places, not just places that have had big claims. Since government regulations require insurance on condos, governments need to do something to address the issue. I am not sure how it is best addressed, but the fact that existing government regulations are a factor means that they cannot just ignore what is happening. Otherwise you will have large numbers of people at the lower end of the economic scale getting booted out of their homes.

  3. Blackie’s Globe and Mail reports that one of Canada’s most influential companies, the Power Corporation is strengthening its ties with China. Some of the most well known politicians of the Laurentian elites worked for that company.

  4. Blackie is still in hiding, but will meet with the premier of New Brunswick today. No questions from his loyal media will be allowed. However pictures can be taken. And don’t miss his interview tonight on CTV, and as he explains how wonderful he is to a drooling Unifor journalist. Great Leader will explain how he is enjoying his taxpayer funded retirement.

    1. John, I will report what he says to the yokel, local media out here in Fredericton. The national media may be too cheap to send reporters out here in the bush. — DM in Fredericton.

  5. “right now the auto industry is taking a loss on electric vehicles of upwards of $10,000 a car”
    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/topstories/sales-of-electric-vehicles-plummet-in-ontario-after-rebate-cancellation/ar-AAK994S?ocid=spartandhp
“We’ve been quite clear on the need to continue with the consumer point-of-purchase incentives. That’s really critical until we reach price parity with internal combustion engines.”

Ontariowe was offering up to $14,000. The feds now offer $5,000. Add that to the manufacturer’s loss and it makes perfect fiscal sense, especially in Chinada where Everybody Else pays.

    1. So the taxpayer is buying electric cars for folks now. Electric cars are so good nobody but the damn government wants them. Every time you get a chance ask why they are wasting your money on electric cars nobody wants and you want the tax cuts now to compensate for carbon tax. You want whole programs ended.

    1. “Liberals” don’t believe Canada is a legitimate state even as they pilfer it with taxes.

  6. Blackie’s CBC tackles the most important issue in Canada this “Holiday” Season. Gay rights. The CBC explains how Hallmark has reversed its self and will now show the commercial of two lesbians kissing. However the alphabet people are now on the warpath against Hallmark. I wonder if Groper’s CBC and gays will demand lesbian commercials celebrating Ramadan?

      1. One “expert” said that you should not worry about your son seeing this [two lesbians kissing] because if he’s watching the Hallmark channel he is definitely gay already. Funny and accurate. Seriously I don’t think Hallmark knows its audience. Is it traditional families (with kids doing the bulk of the watching) or gay and lesbian couples?

        1. The ‘people’s who write those little ditties in the Hallmark cards are all members of the alphabet community.

      2. Huh…first time I’ve ever HEARD of the “hallmark” channel..?
I guess thats the the pitfalls of streaming – watching what we like and ignoring the GARBAGE.

I have never regretted cutting the chord to regular TV. Once done, it opened up a whole new universe. More content than ya can shake yer brick at.

  7. The CBC reports that Trump will “almost certainly get Impeached”, probably on Wednesday and regardless of what happens afterward it will “leave a big stain on his Presidential legacy”.

  8. Here is some typical crappy reporting from CBC. “The GTA is failing to meet its emission targets”.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/emissions-reduction-report-toronto-1.5395601

“On the whole, 77 per cent of the area’s carbon emissions are from buildings and the transportation sectors. The amount of vehicle emissions are actually moving in the wrong direction, Purcell says. In part, that’s because Ontario has seen major reductions in incentives for electric vehicles, which has in turn led to a dramatic decline in sales, he says. Consumer preference continues to shift to larger vehicles like SUVs, he says, and that’s hurting us too.”

    1. From their own graph almost 60% of the carbon emissions are from buildings – full stop. But no further mention about that elephant.
    2. “vehicle emissions are moving in the wrong direction … because Ontario has seen major reductions in incentives for electric vehicles”. The study was from 2015 to 2017. Incentives were dropped AFTER the study period so how can that be a reason? “Consumer preference continues to shift to … SUVs”.

To summarize Toronto’s carbon emissions aren’t really falling at all and the two major reasons are building inefficiencies (which is not being addressed) and the move to SUVs (which is not being addressed). But it’s Doug Ford’s fault for cancelling incentives.

    1. She needs a job flippin burgers at Mickey D’s…maybe she is dumb enough to write her biography. I mean if the Village Idiot from Kenya can make a buck writing about his time herding goats, so can the Village Idiot from Sweden. 1. The passenger train in question replied to Greta’s tweet by saying she had a first-class seat on the train. The world-famous teen is mugging for photos. The gullible media lap up her PR, of course.

    2. Saw this interesting stat on that site.

Funny, never hear in Canada about medical error being so high.

Average # of deaths per day in US:

      Abortion: 2,408
      Heart disease: 1,773
      Cancer: 1,641
      Medical error: 685
      Accidents: 401
      Stroke: 401
      Alzheimer’s: 332
      Diabetes: 228
      Flu: 150
      Suicide: 128
      Opioids: 115
      Drunk driving: 28
      Underage drinking: 11

  9. Interesting photo from CBC.

    https://www.cbc.ca/parents/learning/view/i-think-parents-should-skip-work-sometimes-to-keep-their-relationships-heal

In a piece written by a woman whose bio reads “Natalie Ruskin is a coach who champions purpose-driven moms to discover their full capacity and confidence, helping them grow their vision of success so that they can find greater fulfillment — without burning out.” the lead photo is of two men in an intimate position and the only photo in the piece. No photos of “moms” or “kids”, just of two men loving each other.

  10. Blackie’s finance minister just gave his economic update to the Liberal Party’s loyal media. Massive deficits for years to come. But don’t worry, Bill says the banks have told him that no recession is heading our way. Mind you these are the same banks that lend old Bill money to pay for all these deficits. While Blackie’s media worshiped and asked Morneau how wonderful Groper is, Nazi Post Millennial actually asked him a real question. This was in regards whether Blackie is going to sell the pipeline to indians.

  11. I’ve moved cows in the snow like that. It’s tough work. Cows and horses tire easily.

I’m betting the lion had a kill on that side hill and when all that commotion took place on the road it took to the trees. Plus the dogs. Even a cow dog will tree a lion in the right circumstance. One dog sounded like a hound.

    Nice vid.

      1. I’m not surprised.

My canine “stepbrother” does the same thing when we’re together at the house I inherited. I remember times when he would go and get a squeaky toy and bring it to me early in the morning while I’m shaving. He’d drop it at his front feet and then give me a “Well? What are you waiting for?” look.

Eventually, I put his toys on top of the microwave oven so that he wouldn’t keep pestering me. They were well out of his reach and he knew where they were, but that didn’t stop him from letting me know what he wanted to do. There were times when he would be sitting in front of the microwave, look at the toys and then look at me, look back at the toys and look at me again, and so on.

It’s a very subtle way of communicating what he has in mind without using words.

        1. My old Yeller used to give his paw when asked, he was that charming. You had to forgive him readily especially if he ran away and wouldn’t come home for hours. (Country living at its best!) When he did, it was with his head down, as if in shame! He’d be ready to receive a scolding for running away. Who knows where he went, so much to discover in the woods or beach. You’d think he’d gone fishing.

Forever hungry, he’d literally eat my lunch if I mistakenly left it to go get a beverage. Sneaky devil!

He’d speak and scratch at the door to go in and out to relieve himself — so polite he was, never left a mess inside, even in -30°C.

He actually is in Dog Heaven now with all his pals. He got killed by a car, because he, sniff sniff, ran away one too many times. He’s also a movie, television and YouTube Star now. I see him everywhere!

B A, check out this emotional sad sack in the enclosed video. He too, just makes one go all soft inside. I so love these Doxies too, they are precious!!

          1. This one could easily be my little guy:

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuhUkdzntpw

It doesn’t take much for dachshunds to make themselves understood. Whenever I’m at the table eating something, he always comes up and gives me his “I’m a poor hungry dog” look. But he never eats what I give him–he inhales it. (Don’t blink because it might be gone.)

          2. Dogs worm their way into your heart. Our neighbor lost his 10 year old dog in an accident and I asked him about a new pup. ” I can’t get another” he said, “now that I’m older I find it too hard to cope with the heartbreak that happens when you lose your dog”

          3. Nold:

That’s how it was with my parents. Every time they bid farewell to a dog, there was a time of mourning, followed by a period of adjustment to a quiet house. Soon after that, they decided that the vacancy that was left needed to be filled and soon after that, the place was filled once again with bark, lick, and wag.

Each dog was different, but all were loved and cared for equally.

          4. My son has a French Bulldog. I came in the other day, and my granddaughter had him on a bench, painting his toe nails some kind of aquamarine color. LMAO…He took it like a man…I prefer dogs to 99.9% of people. He gave me that For God’s Sake Grandpa Save Me…I just laughed, I seen them do the same thing to my big old Diesel Burning Bar Clearing Son.
Went to one of my Granddaughters birthday parties, just a wee Lassie then, she insisted I had to wear her Princess Crown. Let me tell you I wore her crown and when son took a picture, I told him you pass that around. And that is a certain death sentence…..I really don’t give a hoot who he showed it to, Princess was happy and had a good time….Cost her 2 pcs of cake and ice cream. I do have Constitutional Rights yah know.

          5. Terrific stories Guys,

The topic was originally cows! Say, those were terrific dogs in Kate’s video… with the cows. Working dogs. They’ve such dedication. One can tell that they love herding and they were good at it. They live to eat and run. Yep, that’s dogs. They realize the power in their legs, get addicted to the adrenalin fix and and learn to love the wind in their hair. It did Old Yeller in, but he lived a happy life.

Enclosed is a video that is easily one of a kind. The videographer put in a lot of thought and time in it. It’s one of the best in that it shows many different breeds of dogs being interviewed. What characters they are! Ha! It’s seasonal too — ’tis the season to be jolly! Enjoy!

            https://youtu.be/U97pbWfY_4k

          6. TQ for video! Sweet Golden Labs!
The broken blinds as a necklace was frustrating
Poor Pooch! That part of the video was featured & popular on the AFV Show.

    1. Hey ABT thanks to you and NR for pointing me at the cow video and thank you Miss Kate. That was good stuff. One good cattle dog is worth 3 cowboys at least. Heavy snow is hard going on a horse and very dangerous footing as well. Got some pics of family winter horse logging in the Rockies. My older brother Duke split his foot up into the arch with a razor sharp axe one winter, luckily it was -30-40 so he was good until they had him loaded up for the run to Calgary to the sawbones. Whiskey helped him deal with it. Whatever it takes to get the coon. But if you wanta buck out a horse winter in deep snow is good. And extra bonus is if you get airborn the landing is not as bad…Ask me how I know.

  12. Trudeau takes steps to insulate himself from government mishaps.

    https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/politics/article-trudeau-takes-steps-to-insulate-himself-from-political-risk/

He’s given Chrystia Freeland lots of power; she can sit on any cabinet committee she chooses.

Trudeau has set up a cabinet that is similar to concentric rings of defences. Trudeau at the center, Freeland on the inside, followed by senior ministers, then a series of political spokespersons with cabinet titles on the outside.

    We’ll see if this works.

    1. That way, he can goof up and someone else gets to pay for it. It is good to be king, is it not?

    2. Trudeau is losing his mind and his handlers/puppeteers need to contain him. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few “threats” were made by VIP Americans to STFU after his latest world wide two-faced NATO show.
He’s clearly quite neurotic and going downhill quickly.
      Pills won’t help.
      Dr. Buddy recommends electroshock therapy.

    3. His handlers know he cant be trusted. Incapable of interpreting the most modest of situations he invariably makes the wrong call, says the wrong thing or acts up embarrassing himself and the country.

They got the shit scared out of themselves October 19 and have decided to remove bongo from the public eye as much as possible. I think the change of tactics came from the librano hierarchy. They had enough of his glam photo shoots and spots on ‘the view’.

They are attempting to reinvent him as a serious leader not some vacant piece of fluff. A tall order.

    1. “Sea level is rising more in New Jersey and the mid-Atlantic than in other parts of the globe”

      – And really – REALLY – reallyreallyreally – global warming alarmists will be pi$$ing themselves and browbeating the rest of us over this arrant nonsense. “We HAVE to SAAAAAAAAVE THE EARTH!!!”

Think of it, MSN – the world ocean is ALL INTERCONNECTED. So how can ONE part of it be higher than ANOTHER part of it??? Water flows downhill – so any higher part will, as a matter of course, flow ‘downhill’ into the lower part and disappear in fairly short order – MUCH faster than any number of millimeters-per-decade the alarmists dare to mouth at us. Just like any spirit level, which the world ocean is.

So how can sea level rise more rapidly ANYWHERE?

      #SMH, FFS

      1. Any variation has very little to to with the “global warming” fraud. Most coastlines are falling or rising in geological terms. The coastline of the northern Adriatic near Venice has fallen significantly in recorded history at a rate of 1 to 5 mm per year. The coastline in Caesar’s day was quite a bit further south. That wouldn’t explain the flooding, would it?

    2. Please don’t worry. There are not going to be any international climate conferences in New Jersey anytime soon.

  13. We read over the weekend that the one SNC Lavelin employee — one Sami Bebawi — was found guilty by a jury on five counts of influence peddling, graft and other misdeeds. According to trial testimony Bebawi paid out millions of SNC Lavelin bribes to sleazy governments, and received in return millions in kickbacks, much of which he converted into lucrative Montreal real estate.

What has not been discussed in the press was that, is that according to Election Canada records, this fine fellow donated at least $15,000 to the federal Liberal party between 2004 to 2006. These were the years SNC Lavelin’s briberies to various sleazy governments were in full swing.

Interestingly, the CBC’s Fifth Estate published an little-noticed article, this past April, revealing the names of SNC Lavelin execs who funneled SNC Lavelin money — as individuals — to the Liberal party:
    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/snc-lavalin-liberal-donors-list-canada-elections-1.5114537

This article still is worth a read. Note that Mr. Bebawi’s name does not appear on the list of “straw donors” (as it is called)i. But, from the Election Canada records, Mr. Bebawi made three donations in three yearly chunks of $5,000, the same amount as some of the company higher-ups on the list. And the time period of Bebawi’s donations matches exactly the time period that the SNC Lavelin straw donors made their contributions.

It is unlikely that Bebawi made the $15,000 donations out of his pocket (if he did, this means some of the Libyan money from tthe Bebawi kickbacks went to the federal Liberal party. If it was SNC Lavelin money, with Bebawi as an undocumented straw donor, this means there could be many more unlisted straw donors. The list that the CBC Fifth Estate received came from federal prosecutors, and totaled up to about $113,000 to the federal Liberal party. But the Liberal party might have received more. The Liberals have refused to reveal their list of straw donors to the public.

  14. Anyone notice the difference how Blackie’s media handled the finance minister’s press conference, and the Conservative MP’s rebuttal press conference? Nice loyal questions to old Bill, and then they attacked like hyenas the Conservative MP. The CBC then had one of their Unifor journalists explain that the Conservative MP was being dishonest about everything he said. Justin is wonderful!!

    1. Coming clean now will only get her out after 25 years. If she was using her head at trial 7 years years she would be getting out soon or already be out. It was a perfect case for a plea deal.

          1. ” I Get Off On It” …Tony Joe White
              https://youtu.be/C9nRvLNM8_o

Been listening to him all evening thanks to you. In “I Get Off On it” he was ahead of the present era with cross dressing being out of the closet. Sounds like it was not for him (a real man) but good enough for a song. Those risky lyrics are good! I really like his early stuff,  just heard his version of “What Does it Take”!

          2. TJW could get down on funk. It came from the great control he had in the wrist if his right hand plus of course the ‘feel’ for funk.

I hadn’t heard his ‘I get off on it’. It’s got that funk thing going

He had a sense of humor to his writing. He had a reply song to Willi’s, ‘Mammas dont let you Babies grow up to be Cowboys ‘.

His was, ‘Mammas dont let your Cowboys grow up to be Babies’….

          3. “Raise ’em on chicken fried steak and milk gravy and he’s gonna make you proud that he’s your son “. TJW is havin’ fun.

            Who writes lyrics like that?
The guy rocked hard with a trio.
