The latest unrest is spreading across India like wildfire after the Modi government passed a new law that grants citizenship to non-Muslim migrants from three Muslim-majority countries but doesn’t give Muslim migrants from those countries citizenship, reported Al Jazeera.
Called the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), the new measure was passed last week and grants citizenship to non-Muslims from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, who have been persecuted for their faith.
Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains, and Parsis from the three eligible countries will automatically be given citizenship if they have illegally entered the country.
So here’s where things get complicated.

Huh? It appears as though President Trump’s travel ban on Muslims from 7 countries wasn’t an isolated notion. Indeed, Muslim travel should be halted … till we “figure out what the hell is going on” … with Islam. Trump isn’t the only leader with the balls to speak the TRUTH.
India should swap 10 for 1 muslims from their country for every Christian etc. they let in. Glad to see countries are fighting back against the islam invasion.

It’s probably too late but they are making a statement. Maybe India should offer free transport to Pakistan for muslims who wish to leave.

It is my understanding that the partition of the sub-continent in 1947 was into India (the majority being Hindu, some smattering of Christian and Buddhist) and into Pakistan (the majority being Muslim). Bangladesh came along in the 1970’s – again mostly Muslim. This was the compromise effected as there was tremendous amount of fighting/bloodshed leading up to Great Britain leaving the sub-continent.
So it is no surprise that India really does not want any more Muslims.
Hinduism has a built in self destruction mechanism. Hinduism is built on caste. You are born into a caste, you live your life in it then you die. If you are a low caste Hindu your life will suck and there is nothing that you can do about it. Apparently low caste Hindus have figured out a way around this. If they convert to Islam they no longer have to put up with their higher caste fellow Hindu’s crap any more, and more and more of them are taking that route. Should be interesting going forward.
Yes Hindusim isn’t a cohesive religion. The different castes represent various invaders who took over and dominated the locals. I understnad that this process hgappened many times and differently in regions. This gives rise to the caste system.
It always astounds me that American liberals seem to know nothing of India’s rigid caste system, or believe that it only happened in the distant past. In their eagerness to brand all white people as racists against “brown” people … they completely ignore the institutionalized racism (classism) of “brown” v “brown”. The same black/brown v black/brown racism and classism takes place in Africa and Mexico, Central America, Brazil, etc. etc.
Mankind is tribal … like it or not. We prefer to associate with “our people”. It’s in our DNA as part of our survival instinct. In our civilized, modern, societies, it doesn’t mean we need to be at war with, or discriminate against “other people” … but it doesn’t mean that multiculturalism can be shoved up our asses either.
It’s only evil when whites do it.

One thing that is destroying the caste system is Christianity.
Schools opened by Christians (read: the Church) will take anyone who can pay for the uniform. With an education, a street-sweeper’s son is no longer stuck in an untouchable caste.

You would have thought so. In 2 – 300 years Christians are all of 2% and many of these are settled in the Northeast provinces that were never Hindu or Muslim. Conversion of Hindus is fraught with problems. The simplest would have been an en masse conversion of the illiterate lowest class to the exclusion others but missionaries wanted literate people. There was never a classless India so Christianity, that preaches egalitarianism never caught on. If the Spanish and their Inquisition had colonized it, today the Pope would be Indian.
Yet people wholeheartedly send their kids to Christian schools and the Pope may one day be Indian.
I think India thinks they already have enough muslims; those brought by invasion some hundreds of years ago. The British take over was not a hostile invasion, but a rescue of India form muslim rule. This is why there was not great resistance from the Indians, only fro muslims.
This is a terrific idea on India’s part. It’s what all western countries should have done.

..where they can quickly become citizens of the new, higher caste in Canadian politics. The ones whose religion you aren’t allowed to criticize (because you are born racist,) the ones who are fast-tracked to Cabinet appointments with no other qualifications than they were born not white, born not here, and born into that religion. It’s the Liberal way.
