  1. Please, is this satire? Because it’s hard to believe it’s not satire. We have police officers photographing screwdrivers, plyers and scissors? And something that appears to be used to file? Is this for real? Construction workers and tailors of the world are being targeted?

    2. Why can’t they leave “Bob the Builder” alone? Is their job not to go after “Mahmoud the Bomber”?
      Now Bob can’t go to work, now Bob will have to borrow tools from Mahmoud. Now Mahmoud can’t go to work.

      Oh, I get the logic now…very clever police..

  3. Somewhere, in the U. K., there’s a future student of brain surgery or dentistry who won’t be able to attend university as he or she has been deprived of his or her tools…..

    1. All in the name of maintaining state’s monopoly on violence and making sure people are petrified more of the state than of the thugs directly harming them. When the process is the punishment, it is just easier to close your eyes and think of Mecca.

  5. I’d like to see something about whom these were taken from before I make up my mind about this.

    If the owners were a bunch of tradesmen and hobbyists, then I’d join in with the general anti-police ridicule.

    But if they grabbed these items away from young antisocial hoodies who were clearly up to no good and were reasonably suspected of merely trying to get around the specific weapons bans in effect by carrying just-as-lethal but commonplace substitutes, then I’ll not fault the cops.

    Also, if the last several attacks were accomplished with the same kinds of weapons, I’d like to know that.

    I’m just naturally suspicious when not all of the information is offered.

    1. And what if hypothetically the “weapons” were taken from people who carried them for protection consciously breaking a law designed to make them defenseless?

      1. I want to know who they are simply as the best means of telling if they meant for these to be offensive weapons.

        If someone is carrying them for non-offensive reasons, I would excuse them. That means a tradesman carrying his tools, and it also means some old fart worried about getting robbed again. If they were taken from people looking to use them offensively – to rob, or assault – then, great, and I hope they charge them with possession.

        I want to know if they were taken from the good guys or the bad guys. And, yeah, we all know the difference.

  6. the UK has become a huge joke. If it weren’t for being total blind they might be able to see just how idiotic their actions have become. London is a city of fools. No guns, now no knives and they still kill each other at about the same rate NYers do. The continued importation of enemies will assure a continued rise in murder. Canada is busy indulging the liberals in the same sort of suicidal nonsense by importing people who hate us and will never accept our culture or religion.

  10. The English are a little people, a silly people. They were once great. Now they are a nation of wimps governed by their Islamic overlords. While they are being exterminated they are having a war against scissors and files.

  13. Are only woodworking/metal files (or rasps) considered weapons, or are nail files and emery boards also dangerous? Needle-nose vs snub-nose pliers? Kindergarten scissors or pinking shears? Garden shears? Tin snips? Are only flatheads dangerous, or do Phillips, Robertsons, and Torx fall under this pogrom? And then there are things like knitting needles, chopsticks, other eating implements…the list of things is nearly endless.

    I just can’t even….

      Those are only the metal things. Glass can be weaponized. As I sit here, I have a pub pint glass from England beside me.
      I bought a 30ish number of them at a local mom&pop business which specialized in imported failures.
      These glasses can be seen in many older movies and were banned from UK about a decade ago because of “glassing” people in the face in pub fights being part of the culture. These particular glasses had a nasty habit of breaking in a certain way that cost people their eyes and sometimes their lives.
