  1. I don’t think we have too long to wait before separatist sentiments seriously infect Californians.
As I have stated before, if Trump truly wants to protect the rest of America from angry, unemployed, starving Mexicans, he should consider building the first wall around California.

  2. Obama renamed Mt. McKinley. It is named Denali, after the truck. Apparently, in local lingo, Koyukon, Denali means tall or great one. Nobody seemed to realize that the Koyukon language wasn’t spoken within 1,000 km of Mt. McKinley but when you’re shitting on dead white men, does the truth really matter?

  3. Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanco de Aztlan
Add to that … The Humbolt County Majijuana Growers Association and Humbolt County Majijuana Users Group … and Mackinleyville will quickly be renamed … MiwokjuanaVille

  4. It wouldn’t need to be all of California – just around San Fran Oakland and LA area. Most of the rest are sane.

  5. Locally to me we just experienced a referendum regarding a street name. I was happy to hear that the renaming failed and common sense prevailed. The name of the street is Swastika, but the street was named in the early 1900’s when you know who was not even a corporal yet. It would be fun if contemporary Nazis picked a new symbol cherished by the left just to see the reaction.

  6. I was curious as to what William McKinley was guilty of, to warrant all the cleansing from history moves. Not much as it turns out other than being a Republican. He stands accused of being a colonist, involving acquiring some Spanish possessions after the war and annexing Indian lands. Not enough that he gave up his life serving the American people; even the country/blues ditty on his assassination is rather disrespectful.

  7. Not enough that he gave up his life serving the American people
That’s enough right there. He served racists and slaveowners.
With all these attempts at purifying history, I’m reminded of something that someone said some 2000 years ago: “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
Oh, I forgot: SJWs, obviously, are the only ones allowed to pick up rocks…..

  8. Sins of today … were the “progressiveness” of yesterday.
    Revisionist History is UGLY business.
History needs to be left in its ‘original state’ … and not subjected to the perspective of ‘Bossy’ little BRATS who do far worse than Monday-morning-quarterback the actions of a game they cannot possibly understand

  9. The “Removers” are the typical racist progressive thugs that will shut down anyone who disagrees with them.
Opposition to City Council’s McKinley removal decision begins to emerge
Sterling attended Wednesday’s meeting, and shared the view that the council’s decision was taken without benefit of democratic process. He objected to the sole pro-statue speaker, citizen Owen Moore, being repeatedly interrupted and jeered into silence by the crowd.
Sterling said one of the anti-statue activists made a “racist” remark about Moore, objectifying him as a “white guy.” When Sterling objected, the activist tried to physically fight him in Council Chamber. At that, Sterling decided not to speak. Other McKinley statue supporters in attendance apparently made the same decision, leaving without incurring the wrath of the crowd by offering an unpopular view.

  10. Right that was the one I was referring to above. Called Whitehouse Blues or McKinley it was recorded by a lot of bands in the 20s I really like the version by The Greenbriar Boys recorded in early 1960s.
