  1. Trudeau is a demagogue, an intellectual lightweight and a complete and utter ässhole. Electing him would be an economic and social disaster for this country; on an international stage he would make us a laughingstock.
    He needs to be kept as far from the liberal levers of prime ministerial power as possible.

  2. A few salient truths about the Truedough political apparatus become obvious in a speech which perverts historical and political facts and smears all Canadians –
    First, these are not Truedough’s words, they are put in his mouth by handlers. These ideas (lies) are 5th column cultural Marxism, bouffant boy seems to be an avid student of his handlers and mentors because he did not blink in accusing Canada of being racist and perverting our history.
    Second, it is obvious the Truedough campaign is an effort by a clique of Bill Ayres styled anti-west/anti-Canadian extremists who operate beyond the fringes of Liberal party ideologies. He has been made too extreme for many centrist Liberals in that party.
    Third, it is obvious this clique are using the man-child’s drama skills to narrate “the big lie” of cultural Marxism and give this vile race-based authoritarianism a coat of red and white paint to sell it as being “Canadian”.
    Last, but most telling, the Liberals must be desperate to court the vote of radical sub-cultures rather than mainstream Canada – they must have access to polling numbers that have triggered such a desperation reflex in the Truedough handlers.
    After watching him deliver this despicable accusatory narrative I have come to realise this is not PET’s) progeny (at least he was a Canadian) but the product of coaching by some of the vilest anti-western cultural political elements. Trudeau’s message was far from being Canadian, it displayed an accusatory intolerance and dishonesty which is not inherent to the Canadian character.

  5. Good questions Gabby, but I think a simpler question would really get him running away. “Under Sharia law a woman is to be trusted half as much as a man in court. Do you favour inequality of sexes when it is a religious or cultural imperative?” It’s a catch-22, he’s either culturally insensitive, or he thinks it’s OK for women to be discriminated against. It has to be put simply so that even the most low information LIV can understand that he can favour one, or the other, but both can’t exist together.

  6. I think a copy of Charles Adler’s comments should be played in all mosques in Canada – so they can hear the truth of Truedough’s views of the Muslims in Canada – just so he can divide Canada, not only East vs West but cause fear in Muslims in Canada – just for votes.

    And speaking of a bag of hammers, the morons posting the tweets can’t even put up a picture of a woman wearing an actual, you know, niqab. The echo chamber has apparently settled on its misrepresentation du jour: Stephen Harper is telling women how to dress.
    But it’s all good, though: from Trudeau on down through his lick-spittle followers, both inside and outside the news media, they are once again engaged in inter-planetary rhetorical over-reach, which hasn’t been effective for them against Harper in, oh, the past ten years or so.

  8. Speaking of the niqab wearing ‘new citizen’ – here is an interesting theory. The niqab wearer in this case is trying to make the statement that there are two sets of laws Canadian and Islamic. In her case Islamic takes precedent. In other words her fight isn’t over keeping her face covered its showing Canada that Islam is superior to Canada itself. For me that says if you don’t like Canada then go back to where you came from where you are free to wear the niqab and submit to all the Sharia law you like.

I imagine Justin had it suggested to him by a “Liberal” Islamic adviser to use in his speeches. Justin has to dance a little in exchange for the promised Muslim block vote.

  11. In case you missed it on an earlier post on this topic:
    I have seen a growing number of woman in Halifax, particularly at the university, who wear the niqab full-face-cover (often with neon running shoes, oversized jewellery, and a kind of oppressive perfume that would bring out the anti-scent police to complain if worn by anyone not from the Middle East). I can’t say it makes much difference to me how these women dress to attend class or what sort of relationships they have with their husbands, their co-wives, or their remarkably spoiled little boys. It doesn’t even matter much that their library cards show them in full-bag.
    Taking the oath of citizenship, testifying in court, appearing to vote in a Canadian election, however, are different matters. In this country and in its culture, it is perfectly appropriate that citizens be prepared to show their faces, if only, however briefly, to engage in these acts of citizens.
    The other commenters have noted how the media and other members of Justin’s fan-club are eager to equate the niqab with any type of scarf or hair-covering worn by a far greater number of practicing Muslim women.
    Are we prepared to administer the oath of citizenship or accept at the polls these Spanish Catholics?

    Our Conservative government needs to hold firm on this issue or we will be heading down a slippery slope on our way to eventual invocation of Sharia law. It will get there bit by bit as long as we have political sympathizers willing to play their games for political gain. We also need to factor in the Trudeau Charter and multicultural policies which they will use and the Supremes will interpret in their favour because they will fall under freedom of religion.
    Trudeau’s handlers are going to try to make this the big election issue which will play into the hands of the activists and the media will follow them with all the publicity they need.
    Canada is not a place to hide your face, those who do are shunning us, that does not make a cohesive or even safe society.

Once again we will back down in the face of islam and take another step backwards while they move forward. I have asked muslims why they came to Canada if they want to follow the same policies that ruined the islamic country they left and they mumble about freedom yet they are trying to overturn those freedoms every day. If our politicians can not unite and face this danger instead of making points we will become part of the umma.

    I am sure that you have all notice the increase of the Muslim topic in our news cycles in recent years. Twenty years ago, the only time the names Islam or Muslim ever appeared in the media was after incidents like the Beirut bombing or the speed boat attack on the USS Cole. The after 9/11, the Muslim topic became much more frequent. Then, about two years ago or so this topic is in our TV and media on a daily basis, either with Islamic terrorist acts or Islamics trying to push their agenda down our throats in Canada or elsewhere. Just a few small examples of stuff you read about daily, two Muslim holidays now celebrated with days off in the Toronto District School Board region, news about terrorist activity trials going on almost on a daily basis.
    What is really pathetic is two of our main political parties are trying to push this 7th century agenda and using it for political gain.

  17. There is nothing in the Koran or the Muslim faith that requires women to be completely hidden.
    It is an Islamist derivation and has 2 purposes in Canada. Yes it is used to provoke but it also sends a message to other Muslims; ‘you Muslims may come to live in the West but don’t think you are going to put your faith on the shelf like Christians and only bring it down to use on special occasions’.

    My own POV is not based on religious nor moral grounds, however. As a landed immigrant myself — long since naturalized — I realize that immigration entails adaptation to societal norms in the country we choose to live in. In Canada, it is not socially acceptable to belch or fart in public, nor to go about our daily lives wearing a mask-like garment.
    If the niqab wearer prefers keeping her niqab to obtaining her Canadian citizenship, let her remain a niqab wearer WITHOUT the benefits citizenship would generously grant her. If the niqab wearer prefers her mask-like garment to a job in Canada, let her remain in her home — preferably her country of origin, where she apparently feels more at home.

    After reading the above remarks I have to throw my two cents in. If anyone is trying to divide the country it is the opposition.
    Trudeau and Mulcair have both been claiming that Canadians have to be more respectful of other people’s religions, more accommodating to new immigrants, more understanding of other people’s feelings, more tolerant, more accepting, etc., etc., etc. I and I think a lot of the readers here have had it up to my chin about these so-called leaders telling me how I should behave. Before the bovine feces these jerks are spouting completely smothers us we’d better start speaking up. In the book they’re reading from after Tolerance and Acceptance, the next chapter is Submission. Both of these “Intellects” have already submitted to Islam, because they are asking, nay telling the rest of us that we’re too dumb and back-woodsy in trying to retain the Canada that we grew up in. We’ve seen the mess that is happening in Europe and if we want to emulate that then we’re well on the way but if we want Canada to remain the Canada that we grew up in then we better wake up and take a firmer stand for true Canadian values.

  24. Since Liberal administrations were in control for so much of the 20th century, you are probably correct.
    The endlessly discussed event of WW 2, the internment of Japanese descended Canadians, was facilitated by by two Liberal PM icons, WLM KING and justice Minister Louis St Laurent. The removal was carried out under the War Measures Act, the same legislation Trudeau Sr employed in 1970. Thus 3 Liberal PM are closely associated with the suspension civil liberties for certain Canadians. Wonder if Jr has pondered this reality very often.

    This is being hyped up by the media. I am 100% on the side of the Cons on this one; of course people should reveal their identify for a citizenship ceremony.
    The idea that we would allow someone to stay covered during the swearing of their citizenship oath is ABSURD!
    Multiculturalism gone mad.
    I was at a citizenship ceremony earlier this year and blow me down if there wasn’t a burka-girl there, with her bearded husband (got to have that beard!). I cannot tell you how relieved I was when they told the audience that face coverings had to be removed when the oath is sworn. I thought to myself “Thank God we still live in a civilized country!!”, and I watched with great interest as burka-girl pulled down the rags from her face.
    The biggest irony of all is that burka-girl was wearing Western eye-glasses. Are we so stupid that we let them use our technology but at the same time let them walk all over our traditions and our culture?!
    Trudeau can honestly go to hell. His evil father started this multi-culti nonsense, and he wants to do nothing but perpetuate it. What does that idiot think Canada will become if we throw out every vestige of our heritage?
    And Canadians need to stand up! On the way out from the ceremony I told burka-girl to her face that I thought she was a fool and told her husband that he needs to get into this century. I told them they are not Canadians in my eyes.
    My rant for this fine Thursday morning, and my hat off to SDA readers for seeing this nonsense for what it is.

  26. Trudeau absolutely disgusts me. He refused to call female genital mutilation “barbaric”. Then what is????? I see what has happened to European countries that have allowed the minorities to change the rules. Are there no intelligent people left in the liberal party? I am really angry that the media continues to assail the conservatives. I’m sick to death hearing politicians tell me what I think. I am a great Canadian. I have never broken a law. I was born here. I love Canada. I treat others with respect. I have never taken a dime from the system. My ancestors on both sides were ALL immigrants. I have to remove my sunglasses at the Canadian border, and I want all people taking the oath of citizenship to uncover their face.

If we (Canadians) won’t assert our cultural inheritance, then Islam will certainly do so.   29. Yes, Ken. This jihad has been going on for over fifteen hundred years, from within and without. The most recent machinations of Islamism are not new either. I remember in the late 1980s while in university I was privileged and hear, and later befriend, the former crown prince of Afghanistan (former because the Russians had the royal family overthrown and he had to flee for his life), a personable fellow in his mid twenties. But – in our many and wide ranging discussions, the topic of religion, any religion, never came up even once. He was far more concerned with the Russian slaughter of his people than questions of religious purity or struggle. Yet, we were then witnessing the incubation of the mujahedeen, and the Islamist violence we see today. Of course, then as now, with the tacit support of Trudeau et al, the infidel West is blamed for all the troubles, of being intolerant. This is nothing new either.
    Today, it is the Islamists, not the “Islamophobes,” as Trudeau and the multicultural minions claim, who have pushed religion to the forefront again with their virulent and violent jihadism. Blame them because Muslims in Canada are apparently fearful – it is their religion that is being used against them – not another. I don’t think Muslims are fearful, except their most radical elements, but their attitude is one of defiance IMO. Most Muslims know Canadians do not “blame” them, but understand, that while we may disagree on a wide range of politics, they’re not “all” violent, but want freedom and prosperity like the rest of us.
    We don’t need a lecture from Master Trudeau on this non issue. In fact, it seems Trudeau and Obama are tracking closely right now with nonsensical non-arguments about non-issues about Muslims and the middle class in fear, rampant racism and “fighting climate change.”
    Trudeau prefers the soft issues, where he can pontificate about fake threats to liberty, letting budgets “balance themselves,” where we never have to whip out our CF18s. Moderate Liberals like John Manley want no part of this philosopher king wing of their party and have stayed away in droves, likely horrified at their leaders arrogant and petulant decisions like the firing of Senators from caucus, the abortion edict, and now his illogical positions on security and citizenship.
    Harper knows this – look for his message that a PM and government have to deal with real issues – the economy and security – not concocted threats to our liberty and irrelevant issues such as abortion and carbon taxation. Mr Mulcair will bleed him in kind from the left too.
    This is not the natural government juggernaut that has ruled Canada from the centre, with a cant to the left, for most of her history. The Grits have been supplanted by the Harper Conservatives. It drives them crazy, along with the lest of progressivia, but they can’t to stop him, despite their huffing and puffing.

I challenge muslims often and ask why did you come here if you just want to replicate the hell hole you left. I can not believe the stupidity of Trudeau and Mulcair. This is not the time to score political points but the time to face this islamic challenge as a united political force. I said to Kathleen Wynne a few years ago why do you support using our public schools as mosques and supporting muslims when they would kill you for being a lesbian in their country. She responded, we just have to disagree. These cowards will sell out Canada as Blair, Brown and Cameron did to the UK.

  38. Simple answer to women without the decency and compulsion to show the pride on their faces while taking the Citizenship Oath: Go Back Home. Because in your minds and hearts Canada isn’t important enough to be your home.
