Much of the Tamil Tigers info I’ve read pointed to their leftist leanings and outright marxist support, (to rid the island of the caste system) and while I find no favor for the caste system, the socialist goals get the attention here and I believe it’s a good thing the Tamils lost this war. It may be that their leftist leanings are what gained the sympathy of Canada’s political elite, speaking of a caste system…
If they don’t like their caste system, they should find other means of ridding their society of it.

Genocide? There are millions of Tamils living in Southern India, and elsewhere. What they were fighting in India was the Selanese Bhuddists; they occupied the Northern part of Ceylon, AKA Sri Lanka.
