  1. China? har dee har har! Following the successful tactics of Edgar J’s FBI, the NSA now has everybody’s everything. Not that I’m apologizing for RMN, at least he was aware his meetings were being recorded.

  2. The difference this makes is that Woodward and Bernstine are no longer interested in, or are instructed to go after, Watergate sized scandals if they involve Democrats. The DNC owns the news cycle. Don’t expect scandals to stick to Dems – ever.

  3. Nobody died in Watergate. Benghazi … not so much. Whitewater … not so much. Richard Nixon was paranoid and stupid. The Clinton’s are evil psychopaths.

  4. There is much credible evidence that Woodward was on the payroll of the CIA (Mockingbird). It is irrefutable that “Deep Throat” AKA Mark Felt, career FBI boy was miffed he didn’t get chosen as boss and leaked info to “reporters” to expose a crime he could have easily insisted upon be investigated by his own FBI…but let’s not left evidence spoil the narrative. And man oh man that is an awesome photoshop of The Hill.

  5. Exactly. It is the same here. Who knows who Max Harb and Joe Fontana are, but everyone knows who Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallen are.

  6. Hillary likes to make official documents disappear.
    >“As soon as the impeachment resolutions were introduced by (then-House Minority Leader Gerald) Ford, and they were referred to the House Judiciary Committee, the first thing Douglas did was hire himself a lawyer,” Zeifman said.
The Judiciary Committee allowed Douglas to keep counsel, thus establishing the precedent. Zeifman says he told Hillary that all the documents establishing this fact were in the Judiciary Committee’s public files.
    So what did Hillary do?
“Hillary then removed all the Douglas files to the offices where she was located, which at that time was secured and inaccessible to the public,”Zeifman said. Hillary then proceeded to write a legal brief arguing there was no precedent for the right to representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding … as if the Douglas case had never occurred.

  7. My eyes….my friggin’ eyes!!!!!
As an aggrieved victim of your lack of consideration, I formally demand some sort of ‘trigger warnings’ in the future so as to avoid permanent ocular and mental damage from similar items.
That photo would be considered some sort of “root cause” of violent acts.

  8. If the digital age saves her stuffing classified information down her giant slacks we all win.
    Sandy Berger’s pantsgate
“The plea agreement, if accepted by a judge, ends a bizarre episode in which the man who once had access to the government’s most sensitive intelligence was accused of sneaking documents out of the Archives in his clothing.
The charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of a year in prison and up to a $100,000 fine.”

  9. I’m with Kathy Shaidle on the naming of scandals. One should not use Watergate as an example. After all who was hurt in the Watergate scandal and who died? Nobody!
Time for a new scandal naming protocol.
How about adding ‘quiddick’ as in Chappaquiddick?
For those of you younger than me here is a reminder of another real Democratic scandal in which someone died: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chappaquiddick_incident . Although Wiki calls it just an ‘incident’ it was one of the innumerable Democratic scandals that got quickly forgotten. We should revive it’s memory for some of the more egregious scandals.
We could shorten it to one sylable: ‘dick”. But, then we run into problems like calling scandals by names like WeinerDick. That might be problematic as well as oxymoronic.

  10. Hitlery Klintoon’s email-gate was broken by none other than the NYT. So the real question no one is asking is who in the Obama regime ordered this story to be published?

  11. This has Baruq’s fingerprints all over it — it’s his style.
Watch for Moochelle to run for POTUS.

  12. Do you think they found Hillary’s “Pardon” list, and the bummer is SOL if she wins. I don’t think Hillary is on the bummer list.

  13. Yeah, Kathy, ‘Serverquiddick’.
Or maybe ‘Self-Serverquiddick’? Too long, perhaps? But Hillary is definitely a self server! One of those ESI (Enlightened Self Interest) Riders that some troll on this site once identified.
BTW, Kathy, I’m a big fan of your writing. I even agree with your opinions occasionally which is a pretty big deal for me as I’m generally disagreeable. I detested punk in the 80s but your fanaticism and blog has taught me more than I ever thought I wanted to learn.
My daughter wants to be a writer and you are someone she could learn from. Of course if I told her that she’d make sure she never read anything you write.
I really believe going to J-School would be a huge mistake for her. Do you offer classes for wannabes?
I follow Arnie but have to take long breaks from his work so I don’t fall into a pit of everlasting despair. I’m thankful he has the courage to do that work though.

  14. Imagine if Nixon had said, “Don’t worry about the blank parts on those tapes, I only erased all the personal stuff.”

  15. Kate, you should set up a Scandal Naming Council. As a new scandal emerges your council could assign an appropriate name and float it on the blogosphere before the lame-stream media calls it somethingGate.

  16. Hillary dillary Dick
    Erase the emails quick
If they’re seen by the people,
    they’ll stop being sheeple
And she won’t be the country’s next pick.

  17. So if Watergate was 100% successful, what would have been gained? McGovern was doing electoral Hari Kari winning ooooh – 1 state. Nixon was so popular and McGovern’s socialist and defeatist policies so out of tune with America. It was simply a dumb move of which Nixon apparently knew nothing witnessed by his reaction on the tapes “Who authorized that.” He probably shouldn’t have asked that question because once he knew what was going on, he was supposed to do the American thing and rat on his friends. That is the only crime of which he was ever accused – not being a rat.
