The culture of fear has become entrenched as a value within our society, established by the lawyers and insurance companies. When we fear financial thugocracy more than being human and looking out for our brothers and sisters on this planet, we have lost our souls.
The halls of learnin’ and the playgrounds are now the places to acquire financial windfall because of the hovering lawyers, much the same as car accident scenes in the past.
Our educational superintendents and board members are better versed in the laws of liability than they are in educational models, student learning styles and making sure the money spent on students is actually used for what the taxpayers intend it to be used for.
BC just had an opportunity to fundamentally change the model and set the taxpayers and students free of their Educational Overlords. Instead, backroom deals were what got the deal done, enslaving everyone for another 6 years.
But change is hard…just like math.

Oh, they may claim it’s about potential allergies… but I guarantee that if you looked closer, you’d find someone upset that he was cutting into the school’s profit on cafeteria lunches. After all, it simply doesn’t pass the smell test. If I’m deathly allergic to peanuts, am I going to suddenly *forget* because somebody offered me a peanut butter sandwich?
Obviously for a liberal, profit is more important than a child getting enough to eat. Progress!

Some years ago, I remember seeing a television program which reported that someone doing research on allergies attempted to find how many kids died at school from allergies. He came up with a grand total of none, anywhere in the world. Not saying he didn’t miss one or 2 but it appears to be a problem approaching Y2K in seriousness.

Q: Name one other thing he ISN’T allowed to share?
A: His Faith.
Q: Name something he IS allowed to share even without parental knowledge permission.
A: The phone number of the abortionist for his girlfriend.

If ever there was a case for home schooling. And I would remove the poor kid from his so called parents.They are no more than useful idiots.

When basic morality, that of sharing with others, caring for one’s neighbour, is against the school rules.
It’s time to take your children out of school. Because, it has become a corrupting influence, a source of moral turpitude.
Some places in the U.S. have a school voucher program, whereby the parent can take their gov’t. voucher for school service and spend it either on another school or even on home schooling.
Parents need to re-form parent teacher associations and take back control over education, both in the U.S. and in Canada.
The greatest threat to free and democratic societies is always un-supervised government.

You don’t have to go to California to have this happen. Something similar happened to my son in Ontario several years ago.
A family in our little rural school had the mother die of breast cancer. Tragic. Because one of the young girls was in my sons class and sometimes didn’t have a lunch we sent extra in my sons lunch, just in case.
One day my son gave her a muffin and when the teacher “caught” my son she took the muffin back from the little girl and chastised my son for giving it to her. This six or seven year old girl went without anything to eat at lunch that day.
I guess I don’t get it, I don’t have a university degree…. It is difficult to teach your kids to respect their teachers when they behave in a disgraceful way.

If they added Common Sense to Common Core, they might slow down their rate of descent.

It really all begins with the amount the Teachers across this country are being overcompensated. This moves them beyond ordinary people and therefore unable to identify with “just folks”. After all another Political entity has their back; their government check off Unions.
Just read the teacher Union’ promotional information, something along the line of “we’ll stick it to the dumbo’s for you teachers”.
It is truly a shame when so-called articulate professionals require the bully boy tactics of government unions. Grabbing more and more of the educational budgets. Bring on individual funding for each student. Let the parent decide which school will provide the best results in their child’s preparation to join Society as a fully participating person, not a special person beyond understanding what working people must do to earn their way for more than 3/4 of a year.

This allergy nonsense is just another example of the decline of Western civilization. In today’s world your child’s problem must now be every child’s problem. It is the epitome of selfishness.
The examples abound. Your child can’t do math? No problem, we’ll just dumb down math to the detriment of all the other children. Your child is a whiny little spoiled brat and cannot handle coming second, no problem, we’ll just give everyone a medal and an A+ for all!
You child is too lazy to get up in the morning, no problem we’ll just start school later and later in the day.
Etc.

How dare children be kind to one another? Is sharing a value we want to impart to our kids?
