We Don’t Need No Stinking Giant Fans

Camp Perry wind project halted:

One of several wind turbine projects planned for the shores of Lake Erie, in one of the greatest bird migration corridors in the Western Hemisphere, has been halted following submission of a letter of intent to sue from American Bird Conservancy (ABC) and Black Swamp Bird Observatory (BSBO). The two groups had vigorously opposed the project due to its exceptionally high risk to federally protected wildlife.

  1. The rent seeking scamsters and their Globull Warming allies must
be taken aback by such a turn of events involving their precious
windmills. The National Guard upper levels aren’t exactly known
for their lack of response to, or contradicting the wishes of, their
political masters in most state capitals.

  2. Meanwhile on our side of Lake Erie, windmill building accelerates. They’re trying to get as many up as they can before the next election, because they know Hudak is going to run on ending the subsidy. If its up before the Liberals get tossed, it may be grandfathered in by the PCs.
Because the PCs aren’t likely to step on any Liberal toes too hard. Its a small world, after all.

  3. I think we need to go after our federal government to put a stop to the Wynne’s Liberal government of Ontario erecting bird killers around our lakes.
Ontario is nightmare enough to live in with the high taxation and energy bills due to stubborn adherence to green freaking energy, chasing industry and jobs out, pesticides/herbicides banned and bats that eat bugs and our beautiful birds being killed by big whumping blades.

  4. When they place them in the main migratory paths they eliminate those birds on that path. Just have a look at Pittsburg, Calf. to see the destruction that they do. The islands off Pittsburg used to be some of the very best wing shooting duck country in the world and the wind farm eliminated the entire run. Talking to the owner of the islands about the wind farm presented a disgusting picture as he said that travelling to the base of the towers put you in bird kill heaven with many, many dead birds littering the grounds.
    Go Nuclear!!!

  5. Birds only deserve primary consideration when fracking is involved. As this involves building what have been dubbed “eco-crucifixes”, expect bird migrations en masse and more bird deaths.
    That’s Big Green for you.

  6. Sorry Liz, I must respectfully disagree.
To give this power to the federal government would mean another step towards tyranny. Provinces can be as stupid as they like and free people can vote with their feet.
This forces provincial governments to be somewhat reasonable or lose their tax base.
    Federal control removes this freedom.
Our federal government should have no legislative power other than enforcement of contracts and the rule of law, as well as national defense.

  7. Here’s a question for consideration, why does the government step in when bird migration paths are endangered but when people complain of ill effects from the turbines they are told they are either imagining them or are politically motivated. Nausea, disrupted sleeping patterns, migraine headaches, and in extreme cases death are well documented effects of low frequency sonic vibrations. (why else would the military have invested billions of dollars in sound weapons)

  8. Very simple Chris, animal rights trump human rights. It’s like that recent case in Toronto when the man with the erection who claims to be a woman gets to go into the woman’s change room despite the complaint from the woman who was in there. ( sexual rights trump womens rights)
As western civilization collapses the world just gets more mixed up and it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.
