So far I can’t find any backlash against Betty Gerritson, probably because she is currently too sympathetic of a figure even for such beacons of enlightenment such as Media Matters.
I’m sure, however, that her story and background is being scrutinized with a fine tooth comb as we speak. Any discrepancy will be pounced upon.

The problem that this lady and all patriotic American citizens are up against, IMO, is similar to what Canadians are up against – our massive government structure (bureaucrats and their minions) kowtowing (thank-you for the spell check Phantom) to Agenda ‘to zero’ thugs. Fortunately for Canadians we booted out the puppet Cretin and the Liberanos last election and elected PMSH, who hates anything that smacks of Communism and control, but PMSH like Ron Paul (had he been elected President); are dogged by the bureaucratic monster every step of the way. This monster demands obedience and will stoop to anything to get the results ‘they’ want; blackmail, back stabbing, making up fairy tales, set-ups, innuendo, intrusion, set-ups, false allies….and vicious agenda ‘to zero’ supporters in the Whitehouse/Ottawa/media branches.
In America the citizens elected an Agenda ‘to zero’ tool, consequently, they Have the enemy of the people (agenda ‘to zero’) and an advocate of the evil working hand in hand against people like the brave lady in the video. Patriots are not just marginalized, they are ‘targeted’ for oppression; in the same manner that Reform Party members were/are in Canada. It is sad and horrific to witness the demise of liberty, civil rights and independence from bureaucratics and the monolithic institutions created by agenda driven bureaucrats. Speaking up gets a lone citizen slapped down and targeted for persecution. Brave and honorable are the tea party patriots – if they can’t save America, the wonderful idea and the country that personified the idea of ‘free men (and women) with innate RIGHTS granted by God’; will be only a myth like Atlanta is; the beautiful city on a hill will not exist.

I hope you’re right, Robert of Ottawa. I can hardly dare to hope that Obama’s finally gone too far now that he’s bitten the hand that has shilled for and protected him.

This woman is intelligent, driven and speaks from the heart. She is part of the 50% that did not vote for Obama. It will have little impact on the bottom end of the gene pool that supports the status quo but it may have some impact on the MSM that still won’t accept the fact they have backed a loser without questioning his motives. The next few months should tell. We need a few more speeches like that to shake them out of their politically correct stupor, but that was a good start.

I don’t think the left wing in the U.S. understands just how much damage this whole IRS thing has caused to the country. The use of a government institution to hammer down citizens is the hallmark of fascists. And that is exactly what Obama and his ilk are……fascists to the bone. When citizens no longer trust their government institutions, the country starts to go into a death spiral. The only way out is to send this Chicago gangster down the road and his henchmen with him.

Robert, you have it on the MSM. We are well outnumbered & outmanuevered. Besides, we don’t have the gonads to fight back with the same tactics. When the economy spirals into the ground, we may have a chance at regaining some sanity. But it is only a chance because history is full of times when people have been repressed for long periods. Gerritson has valid point when she says she is not there as a serf or a vassal. Unfortunately, she is not far from being one.
Considering there are dozens of stories like hers being told to the investigating commission it would be wise for the Obama goons to lay low in the near future as this IRS scandal will not go away anytime soon. I personally expect a big P.R. campaign by the IRS showing what a great bunch of ordinary neighborly folk they are. Not a mean bone in their bodies and they only live to serve and see justice done to the ENRON types. We’ll see who gets closest to whatever unfolds 🙂

This is too little, too late. The very best that can be expected out of the IRS scandal is more bureaucracy. Probably a new department in IRS Customer Relations, staffed with more Treasury Union members. Yup. That will solve the problem.
The US government has become an unstoppable behemoth. Find a way to enjoy the decline I say.
There are several things to consider.
It’s vital to realize that Obama is exerting more and more authoritarian power, ignoring and violating the laws, ignoring Congress. He’s doing it step by step, such that each step seems too small to confront him on it. And if Congress confronts him on his violations of the law, of the Constitution – then he ignores Congress, or has his people come up with vapid semantic rhetoric that they say justifies what he did.
1) Tactic: So, instead of dealing with the law and their violations of the law, the Obama gang slickly move the whole situation to one of Pure Rhetoric. Words. Just words…where one side says something; the other side says the opposite. And the relation of these WORDS to FACTS and to the law, is totally alienated and lost.
2) Tactic: He also presents himself as a naive youth, someone kept out of all that’s going on because the adults in the room, not him, are in charge. Remember, he only hears about things the same way you do, from the media. He’s not told a thing. So, Congress finds it difficult to actually file charges against him, this teenager, and because each violation is one step…and is diverted to being just about words, he gets away with it all.
The people Obama has around him are all anti-American, anti-democracy, authoritarian. The comparisons with Hitler and the Third Reich are really quite astonishing.
Obama’s current task is to win the 2014 election. Then, to remove Hillary from 2016. I’ll bet the Obama gang have someone in their Set in mind for that role.
3) Tactic: Behind the scenes, their task is to increase the ratio of dependents on govt funding. These people are part of the Obama electorate (quite different from the American electorate); they are kept close via the SmartPhones that the Obama team hand out, free, to all those who take some form of govt benefits – and all these people are linked to the private (not part of the Democratic Party) Obama data base.
4) Tactic: AND above all, to increase their surveillance infrastructure, to increase their stock of ‘data’ they will use to smear opposition candidates in 2014 and any other elections…in other words…to totally and completely destroy the electoral system.
The only way to deal with this collapse of the democratic system in the US is – the media. Will they realize, apart from FOX, what is going on and start to reject it? They are starting to do so, but, they can be quickly sidelined and crushed by the Obama team.
The thing to also remember about Obama, apart from his pathological narcissism, his alienation from reality, his living totally within his own rhetoric, his inability to differeniate between his fictional words and the facts of reality…..well, the thing to remember about Obama is: his need to control.
This need to control both events and people stems from his rejection of the reality of the world. After all if the world is real in itself then it can do things to you that you can’t control. Obama rejects this. He moved, long ago, into a world made up only of His Words. A virtual world. That he controls.
Therefore, to Obama, if he can’t control you via His Words, then you don’t exist. Same with the world; if it’s not explainable or controllable within His Words, then, he ignores it.
Control of others is proven by the other person’s loyalty to Obama. If you are loyal, then, this shows that Obama can control you. And trust you as part of His World.
That’s why he’s rewarded Susan Rice who loyally went out and lied for Obama, took the heat for Obama, said nothing against him. Unlike Petraeus who confronted Obama and publicly insisted that the CIA had NOT rewritten the Talking Points. Obama’s instant reaction? Smear-and-Fire him. That’s how Obama treats anyone who is more connected to reality than to Obama’s virtual world.
And he’s rewarded Samantha Powers in the same way, someone who also rejects reality in favour of the Obama Virtual World.
And Hodder, who is loyal to Obama.
That’s what counts in Obama’s world. Just Obama. Nothing else.

Jema, I’m a day late to the party, but here are my thoughts…
We will eventually get to the point where the battle is lost for the short and medium term. In other words, we unfortunately might have to let the masses have what they desire so badly(like it’s our choice, haha) in hopes that grassroots efforts will eventually rekindle, and uphill battle against tyranny can hopefully begin anew.
I believe the last hope for American liberty(and by default Canada) are Mexican Americans, and the Mexican illegals that will eventually, out of necessity, be granted some sort of amnesty. It is my opinion that the last best hope for America is this group of good natured, god fearing, family orientated, entrepreneurial individuals.
These are the folks that will save Traditional American Values by being themselves; because in my opinion, these folks are more “American”(figuratively speaking) than the majority of middle class Americans that vote Democrat, and a large number that vote GOP!
So long as the GOP, and white folks in general, keep looking down and belittling(perceived or real) this group of hard working embrays, they will never vote en masse with us regardless of the ideological parallels. For the sake of America, white folks, conservatives and the GOP must find a way to have an open dialog with this group.
Side note: After living in Arizona for almost two years, I am now convinced that many of the complaints by Mexican Americans about white folks, the police and the GOP are legitimate. Until the Mexican Americans feel they are respected by white folks(not looked down upon), and the abusive rhetoric stops from the Right, they will forever be stranded in the political abyss, voting against their nature for government hand-outs. Voting against their nature, until one day, their very “nature” has been changed to that of an average American entitled brat. Then my friends… the battle for liberty in America is lost. JMO
