  1. Regarding Lizzie May, I just have one thing to say. LOL Lizzie May. She doesn’t even make me angry anymore. She’s such a caricature, it’s impossible to take her seriously.
    ‘Nuff said.
Regarding the general meme, this incident helps prove my point made here that whatever the world’s woe, it will be funneled through an AGW lens. No matter how nonsensical. It truly does beggar the imagination.
I just loved Bjørn’s reaction. His actions spoke volumes.

  2. The AGW guys were better with their strategy of keeping the “experts” and supporters out of the debates, but I hope they follow this new strategy because I can stop paying to rent comedies.

  3. About the study on being green and honesty,
    I have the answer,
sounds very pretentious but I do,
People who know they are dishonest know that they should do things that make them appear ethical/honest,
so they buy green to appear more ethical than other people and once you lower your guard they deceive you/lie to you/steal from you et cetera…
There is very little connection with being green or not, it has everything to do with being deceptive/manipulative.
I should have been a psychologist.
Hate me but I’m right when I’m right.

  4. As far as I can tell, Lesotho has no specific Minister of Poverty Alleviation.
In a place like Lesotho, poverty alleviation is probably the largest cabinet portfolio.
In fact Lesotho is probably so poor that the Minister of Finance probably has a dual portfolio as the Minister of Poverty Alleviation and that’s why he’s so adamant about getting money transfers through the Climate Crisis to deal with a health issue.
Climate Crisis Cash Transfer = Alleviation of the Minister’s Poverty

  5. She’s right but explained it poorly. When the AGW gets up to speed, the politicians in these third world kleptocracies will need more funds to remain longer at their mansions on the Riviera to avoid the heat and filth back home. Instead of embezzling only half the money donated for aids prevention and treatment, they will steal all of it and blame “witchcraft” for the loss.

  6. The green and dishonest thing reminded me of a study published several years ago in a journal of psychology, the name of which is lost in the mists of my memory. But the result was interesting and related to self-righteousness. In essence, it reiterated what I’ve often observed amongst leftists, and which they overtly and tacitly express i.e. the belief that they can do no wrong simply because of who they are and what they believe. They have no “objective” concept of right and wrong, no code of conduct per se. “Right” is what they want and what they do by definition. “Wrong” is anything that stands in their way. Thus, in their own mind, a lefty/greenie can do no wrong, since whatever benefits them or advances their agenda is right by definition. Even when a behaviour is patently dishonest or criminal, there is no moral dilemma since it serves the “higher purpose” i.e. whatever the lefty wants. It’s utterly juvenile, and pathetic to watch, but becomes dangerous when lefties/greenies get into positions of political power, or most evidently in recent history, when they’re appointed to the judiciary.

  7. lookout, at 4:48 pm.
I have trouble seeing her as a rhino, the snout isn’t quite right, but maybe a castordentian hippo?

  8. You know, I saw this CPAC broadcast of another debate once where two of the participants in that debate got in a bit of a shouting match.
I’ll never forget the response which another political party used to very good effect in the following national election.
    “THATS NOT FAIR”
I have this feeling that come the next election if Lizzie May starts demanding a spot in the debates that clip will find its way into a 30 sec CPC election ad. I also expect that Harper would purposely make sure after that she did get into the debates just so she could make a complete ass of herself and completely discredit the left.

  9. I’m sorry.
How is it possible that Elizabeth May was able to become the leader of a political party in Canada? Who voted for her? Who would vote for her in the next election?
They need, seriously, to have their heads read. They must be lunatics.
    She sure is.

  10. is there a quote from Shakespeare to cover this? is for about anything else newsworthy that pops up on the socio-political stage. ah yes, here it is, from Macbeth:
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
    Signifying nothing.
Greens are going the way of the dodo bird and it is their own fault for propping up this brackish shrieking caw.

  11. Lesotho? Does this place still exist? Anyway, I’m sure spending our hard earned money there will prevent AIDS, as all men will go limp listening to people like Liz and Gore and looking at hairy legged and bushy arm-pitted lefty-dorky broads.

  12. Ref: Greenies more likely to lie and steal
Hey, did you hear the one about Suzuki, Gore and Soros get killed in an accident and end up in heaven?
    No, eh…..

  13. Come on now, give her a break. She’s managed to accomplish what no other politician has; she’s made Joe Clark seem sexy…to men!

  14. I just watched the entire debate. Lizzie at one point honestly said, the oceans would rise 9 meters when the ice shelf melted.
I was leaning back in my chair with my feet on the desk, I had to catch myself from hitting the floor, lol

  15. Seriously, it’s time for this beast to hibernate and give us a bit of a break, don’t ya think?

  16. We can all make disparaging remarks about May’s stupidity and lack of physical appeal, both of which are painfully obvious, however the fact remains that this grotesque banshee still manages to wring $1.95/vote from the Canadian taxpayer, is allowed to participate in the leaders’ debate and is courted by the media.
This speaks volumes about the abysmal state of Canadian politics.
The Green Party’s only purpose is to serve as a repository for the lunatic fringe to cast their votes and feel good about themselves. If this sad excuse for a political party was disbanded, it’s followers could still vote NDP and get a rush of self-satisfaction. Elizabeth May could then hopefully fade into oblivion and cease her embarrassing pretence of speaking for Canadians.
We would, no doubt, have to stomach a more smug and irritating Jack Layton (if that’s possible), however the absence of May would make it all more palatable.

  17. larben: “Lesotho? Does this place still exist? Anyway, I’m sure spending our hard earned money there will prevent AIDS …”
Oh, now I get it! Lizzie May is shilling for Stephen Lewis! Now, it all falls into place …

  18. It’s possible that down the road we could end up with and NDP alliance by absorbing the Greens and the Libs. Time will tell, but I doubt it could work the other way around with the Libs at the head. JMO

  19. DrD,
    good point,
    example;
Lefty find it scandalous/indecent that big oil is making billions of dollars.
But AL Gore will soon be the first human being to make one $$$ Billion $$$ yes Billion with B out of this carbon/green scheme and not one lefty is complaining about Big Al’s scandalous/indecent Billions…

  20. …we could end up with an NDP alliance by absorbing the Greens and the Libs.
    ~Indiana Homez
You’re probably right, as long as the public doesn’t learn a lesson from the socialist train wreck occurring south of the border.
I take comfort in the fact that the Liberal Party has so many legacy votes, which many conservatives think is a bad thing, and the knowledge that the NDP are radioactive in Ontario so that there is no worry that they might form a government any time soon.
Best case scenario, Bob Rae becomes the new leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and then sells the party out to the NDP in an alliance that will put them on the political fringe for a generation.
The single issue Green Party is a “Dead Ma’am Walking”.
