“I realise folks don’t want to know this, but the average IQ at the BBC really is about 72”

The BBC correspondent in Sudan describes the crowd calling for the teddy bear teacher’s death “good natured” though he concedes some in the crowd are “unhappy.”

  1. So, let me get this right…the crowd was “good natured” while wanting to behead someone.
Yep – IQ must be in the area of 50 = retarded ! Have a nice day…

  2. What IQ did this guy score before they sent him there?
Gee…d’ya suppose an IQ can drop just through long term contact with Morons??
If so I have to get rid of my Eastern clients and relatives. šŸ˜‰

  3. Last night someone on the BBC was burbling about having sighted a Yeti somewhere or other. You meant to insert a decimal point between the 7 and the 2, surely?

  4. This definitely helps to confirm a revelation(for myself, anyways)that came to me last evening.
The MSM,in general,is not so much protective of Islam itself as it is purposely protective of RADICAL Islam.
If the BBC’s and CBC’s of this world were really interested in protecting western muslims as minorities, they would expose the utter corruption of their faith by a relative few religious neandrethals who are wreaking havoc worldwide.
Instead, some actively work,as this story demonstrates,to protect and cover-up this mad malignancy from the exposure it needs to have to be properly tackled.
I am truly starting to wonder if,thanks to misleading press corps, western muslims themselves truly understand the atrocities committed worldwide in their name.
Any Canadian muslim who relied on the CBC,etc.,would have a completely distorted view of middle east affairs.
We see this on cons blogsites daily with lib footsoldiers selling the CBC’ish tripe with claims of Bush being a warmonger and suicide bombers just being poor simple folk defendering their homeland.
    As I have said before….
Islam is the religion of peace.
Anyone saying otherwise will be executed.

  5. Of course the crowd of Muslims were good natured. They were out for blood, a friendly beheading … that is what make them joyous, happy, that is their fun.
Murder in the Islamic world is the most fun you can have. Especially when you consider that they are not allowed to do pretty much anything else other than eat, sleep and pray.

  6. Has the Canadian government made an official comment about this situation? I haven’t heard anything – and it should do so.
Oh, and where are all the feminist groups in this? Haven’t heard a word from any of them.
One point, however, is that some Muslim groups are openly stating their opposition. Tarek Fatah, who began the Muslim Canadian Congress (and stepped down due to threatening hate mail) has organized a group to meet with the Sudanese ambassador to Canada to insist that they free Ms Gibbon, and also, apologize for treating her in this manner.

  7. I don’t doubt that the BBC reporter saw a “good natured” mob.
There was quite a party atmosphere around the guillotine in Paris and the Tyburn Gallows in London. ā€œThe crowd would cheer a “good dying”, but would jeer any displays of weakness on the part of the condemned.ā€
Of course that was where The West was hundreds of years ago.

  8. the best part is… the bloodthirsty mob was apparently coming from prayers.
    *
brings to mind a good kristian song
    “””onward christian soldiers”””:-)))))

  9. ET: Yes, I think Tarek Fatah is a good man as is the Muslim Canadian Congress; and I don’t think they’re practicing taqiyya.
teddy: That’s the tragedy. World elites incl. Blair and Bush, and many government agencies, have been kowtowing to Muslim “leaders” who don’t really represent Muslims. The Muslim Council of Britian, for example, represents a very tiny percentage of British Muslims, as does CAIR in the US (who also grossly exaggerage the muslim pop.). And they have allowed the Saudi Wahhabis to take over a very large percentage of the mosques in the West.
If the elites are scared [and ignorant of the threat], we shouldn’t be surprised that most moderate muslims are also scared.
Most Muslims I’m sure came to the West to escape this tyranny but are being intimidated and coralled into performing dawa for the world wide ummah. And you make a great point: amazing how much of this rage immediately follows Friday prayers at the mosque.

  10. Teddy and all. This is not RADICAL islam, this is islam in all its murderous glory. The sentence handed down on this teacher and the sentence handed down to the rape victim came from the courts of the two countries, not some cabal of mouth-breathing extremists. This is the way the nation of islam wants the world to be.The principal of the school where the woman taught actually said that 15 days was a just sentence. They have no compassion for anyone but thier own.

  11. BBC…CBC…CBC…BBC… Not much to choose from, is there? Lets not forget that our own CBC refuses to call Alkaida a “terrorist” organization because as we all know “one man’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter”. Good thing we are not a violent people. If we were like the Muslims in Sudan, CBC buildings all over Canada would have serious security around them.

  12. “I don’t doubt that the BBC reporter saw a “good natured” mob.
There was quite a party atmosphere around the guillotine in Paris and the Tyburn Gallows in London.”
That was good for a hearty chuckle Cal. Thanks.

  13. They actually believe it, and without question would slit her throat if they could. Not metaphorically, but for real. They are genuinely a death cult. And the left says but look at what the Christians did 1000 years ago. Useful idiots comes to mind.

  14. You would think that they would have some more important issues to get all excited about. Say, something like, oh, I don’t know, ALL THE F@#$ING PEOPLE DYING, STARVING, BEING MURDERED, ETC!
These tinpot Islamic regimes are masters at deflecting. I mean, really, a friggin teddy bear?
If they put all that energy into helping the dying in the refugee camps, maybe western governments would not have to bail out their sorry a$$es!
    Totally pathetic!

  15. “Onward Christian Soldiers” is a fine, Victorian hymn! I’m sure GYM mentioned it tongue in cheek.
These are the words, which have been expunged from all ā€œprogressiveā€, panty-waist hymnals: (NB: The words are ā€œAS to war . . . ā€)
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.
    Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
forward into battle see his banners go!
    Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.
    At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;
on then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
    Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
    (Refrain)
    Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we,
one in hope and doctrine, one in charity.
    (Refrain)
Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
but the Church of Jesus constant will remain.
    Gates of hell can never ’gainst that church prevail;
we have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail.
    (Refrain)
Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud, and honour unto Christ the King,
this through countless ages men and angels sing.
    (Refrain)
The ā€œwhere have all the flowers goneā€ leftists, who have hijacked most of the church head offices, are so literal they don’t seem to realize that this hymn uses metaphor. Note that the foe is evilā€”ā€œSatanā€ here—and the weapons against evil are praise: ā€œGlory, laud, and honour unto Christ the King . . . ā€ What a far cry these ā€œhappy throngsā€ are from fanatical Muslims.
I honestly believe we need far more of the spirit this hymn exemplifies: our forebears had it. First of all, they were willing and able to DISCERN evil—e.g., Hitler—and then had the cojones to actually FIGHT it. Today, far too many of our elites have soft boiled eggs for brains and a hollow space where their hearts should be. They have no sense of proportion and are afraid to name evil. They seem to think there’s nothing worth fighting for. What poor, deluded souls.
Occasionally, one gets a chance to sing this noble and stirring hymn: in fact, I’m going to add it to the list of hymns for my funeral (whenever that might be!).
On this first Sunday of Advent, I send best wishes to my fellow SDA travellers and pray for the safe deliverance of Gillian Gibbons.

  16. teddy, no one is corrupting islam.
I’m trying to corrupt Islam by converting one Muslim to Christianity at a time. I know of three so far this week.

  17. Ishaq: 58 (Hadith) “Our onslaught will not be a weak faltering affair. We shall fight as long as we live. We will fight until you turn to Islam, humbly seeking refuge. We will fight not caring whom we meet. We will fight whether we destroy ancient holdings or newly gotten gains. We have mutilated every opponent. We have driven them violently before us at the command of Allah and Islam. We will fight until our religion is established. And we will plunder them, for they must suffer disgrace.”
Qur’an 8:12 “I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle.”
Qur’an 8:57″If you gain mastery over them in battle, inflict such a defeat as would terrorize them, so that they would learn a lesson and be warned.”
Qur’an 8:67 “It is not fitting for any prophet to have prisoners until he has made a great slaughter in the land.”
Ishaq: 204 “ā€˜Men, do you know what you are pledging yourselves to in swearing allegiance to this man?’ ā€˜Yes. In swearing allegiance to Muhammad we are pledging to wage war against all mankind.'”
abari IX:69 “Killing disbelievers is a small matter to us.”
Tabari VIII:141 “The battle cry of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah that night was: ā€˜Kill! Kill! Kill!'”
These verses (there are hundreds more like them), from the Muslim troika of hate, are not taken ‘out of context.’ In fact, the Quran has no context, or pillars, without the Sira (biography of Mo) and Hadith – which both reveal what an absolute monster Mohammad was. All Muslims are commanded to emulate this monster. It is an Islamic imperative.
    —————–
Meanwhile, those horrible Christians are commanded to:
Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. [44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; (KJV)
    —————–
Onward Christian soldiers, marching AS to war….
This is a spiritual hymn, not a physical call to arms.
    —————–
GYM, are you really that retarded? Or are you simply spitefully ignorant?
Regardless, your erroneous, unstudied, ahistorical, factually wrong moral equivalence harping and obfuscation enables and supports Islamist deception and violence. Are you happy about that? Is that your intention?

  18. I don’t want to get all politically correct here, but as someone who spends a fair amount of time with actual “retarded” people (developmentally challenged as they are now referred to), I have to say that, as a rule, they are the kindest, gentlest most accepting people you could ever meet. Generally, they would be the last people in the world that would slit someone’s throat, for any reason.
    Just sayin’

  19. OT but I think relevent to the season. Went to my wife’s year end party last night and the theme was “Music of the 1980’s.” Beautiful setup but so cold and meaningless. It was held as it normally is at the Royal York with a large crowd. In years past there was a huge Christmas tree, decorated with dazzling lights, poinsettias on the tables, Christmas wreathes and the serving staff marched in with flaming baked Alaska dessert with holly leaves at the end of dinner. I loved the camaraderie and warmth of these parties and always looked forward to this special event each year. When it was over and the last glass of cheer drunk we wished each other a Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year. I am glad in some ways that my wife is retiring at the end of the month and I don’t have to go anymore.
A small Christmas tree this year was in one corner of the huge room but unlighted and unnoticed. So many of us commented how sad it was that to be politically correct, or whatever, this tradition, which I believe is for all people no matter what your individual beliefs, is allowed to die out. When the party ended I never heard one person wishing someone else the traditional parting message.

  20. I just love to go off to a “good natured” beheading. It just makes my day, thank you šŸ™‚

    BWWWAHAHAHAAA!!!!

  21. It is sad that many here believe there is no such thing as a good muslim.
I find it especially telling when someone else even dares mention the TRUE history of death and torture documented in the name of christianity, and then they are immediately dismissed as an idiot,or such.
    Nope…no religious bigotry here.

  22. Teddy, as an atheist I have no dog in this religious fight, but even I am able to see that the major sins of Christianity ended hundreds of years ago. If mobs of Christians were pouring out of the churches on Sunday morning demanding the death of unbelievers, I would be complaining about that. Islam today is a clear and present danger to all of us.

  23. teddy,
You’re new. Obviously you haven’t been following the narrative.
Islam is based on foundational violence as proven and documented in their own three main texts – The Quran, the Sira (the biography of Mo) and Hadith (the actions and sayings of Mo). Their god, named Allah (which BTW, does not mean God in Arabic, Ilah means God) commands and rewards the faithful for violence and evil. They are also commanded to emulate Mohammad’s life. A proven pedophile, pirate, brigand, pervert, theif, liar and mass-murderer.
Therefore, a ‘good’ Muslim is a terrorist and worse, like their prophet.
Now, this does not mean that all Muslims are bad people at all. That’s ridiculous. However, the first victims of the political, military ideology of Islam are Muslims. And most, as with most people, are not given to violence by nature.
To contrast this against Christianity – regardless of what people and certain religious organisations have done in Christ’s name – the opposite is true. The OT and Christ’s life example command exactly the opposite.
It is not rational, nor factual to compare and equate the two religions based on ideology.
I urgently suggest you look into it for yourself.

  24. Thanks for you Advent wishes, lookout (at 11:09 am.). And the stirring words of Onward Christian Soldiers (not, by the way, expunged from my hymnal, The Book of Common Praise, dated 1938).
Now for one of the links between them. Onward was written by the Rev. Sabine Baring-Gould, who also brought into the English language that lovely Basque carol, so often performed at Advent: “The Angel Gabriel from Heaven came, his wings as drifted snow, his eyes as flame.” (no, teddy-4:36 pm, he wasn’t about to burn anybody). And if you, or anyone else, is interested, here is the Trinity Church Advent Service, December 18, 2005, that includes the Basque Carol:
    http://www.trinitywallstreet.org/pdfs/20051215_155828PDF.Lessons%20and%20Carols.05.pdf
Yes, the safe deliverance of Gillian Gibbons, Amen.

  25. Gillian Gibbons is free: Deo gratias! Did the CBC analyse the implications of this incident for the rest of the West and where such militancy and barbarism—appeased, even by Ms Gibbons’s own government (see Melanie Phillips’s article today)—is taking us? No.
Thanks, fc, for your comments. I love the Basque carol, “Gabriel’s Message” and have sung it many times, “eyes as flame” and all! For the leftie literalists out there, how about this?
“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
“Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints….” Ephesians 6:10-18
The false and pernicious doctrine of equivalency is turning the West into a mass of wobbly jelly. Given the vicious plans for the rest of us that the Muslim fanatics—toddlers with Uzis—make no attempt to hide, give me some ā€œwell armed Christian soldiersā€ any day. Maybe then we’d do some real discerning: ā€œdiscriminateā€ā€”meaning judge—the real and present danger in order to take a stand, a stand to protect ourselves and our civilization. And then, like our WW II forebears, we’ll need the guts to act. Nice? No, far from it. But, if we continue to ā€œmake niceā€ā€”ā€œpeace, peace, where there is no peaceā€ (Jeremiah 6:14)—things will become infinitely worse and most definitely not nice.

  26. Inspirational words for sure, lookout, and badly needed in these days.
Just don’t assume the lefty literalists, to whom you quoted them, have any idea of what they really mean, who wrote them, or any basis for distinguishing Ephesians from, for example, Ecclesiastes, or even “East of Eden”.

  27. Good from evil? How long has it been since biblical quotations were so liberally sprinkled through a secular commentary? Thanks be to God who giveth us the victory!

  28. I don’t mind getting biblical quotations from time to time. They are usually messages of peace and love. I am never sure about the mental stability of the senders, but I accept the message in good spirits.
Re converting Muslims. I think you have a better success if you convert them to corpses. That would be more of a transmogrification than a conversion.
