Lorne Calvert, that’s who.
Meet “Lambchop”!

(click for image of brochure)
He escaped from the NDP campaign war room today. My source emails;
We understand they are putting up billboards like this as well. The billboards were supposed to be a teaser campaign. That is, they were just putting up the picture of the wolf for a couple of weeks with no caption. Then they were going to add some sort of caption about the SaskParty.
… and I thought it was Calvert who just had his teeth filed.

Your tax dollars at work?

I’m soryy but I’m such a dog person and he looks sooo cute.
Isn’t the “Hidden Agenda” thing getting a bit old? I mean if there is something to hide, I’d say it is in the (Sask)governments closet.
A “hidden agenda”??!! — Eeeek, scream (cue Vincent Price and organ music). Lock up your daughters!
old scare tactics I am Very sick of this crap from the NDP.
That’s awesome! This is NDP politicking at it’s best…
Rather than having a record to stand on, they put togther a smear piece.
These guys are hilarious and it just goes to prove why they need to be ousted…
And the kind, lovable, gentlemanly Calvert has given this his seal of approval..
Few people realize that the federal Liberal campaign was preceeded by an identical one in Saskatchewan against former SK Party leader Elwin Hermanson.
Right down to seeding the media with the theme that “women don’t trust Hermanson”.
Replace “Hermanson” with “Harper” and you still hear the same today.
Nobody ever polls men on whether they “trust” Jack Layton. Funny, that.
Nothing quite as effective as running a few push polls to get friendly press to push it further.
Fear works as the most powerful motivator. Let’s hope the election is soon so the socialists don’t have time to spend more money on vote buying.
I am so glad the provincial gov spent my tax dollars to keep the wheat board’s control over barley exports.
Who better to know what is best for farmers than a couple of UC ministers and taliban jack
What a tool!
What amazes me is that sheeple would actually vote for a party that runs this kind of campaign.I’m beginning to think that monkeys evolved from us!
We all know that in contrast, what the NDP is really all about is sheep in sheep’s clothing.
Wonder if Cristiane Ampour of CNN will mention Calvert in her three-part series starting tonight about religious extremism in politics?
Is not Calvert’s ilk really politicians dressed up in (sort-of) religious clothing to legitimize their own brand of marxism, which ironically preached that religion is the opiate of the masses?
Can a person really be a marxist and purport to represent religious belief at the same time?
Sorry, if I’m being repetitive on issues that have been settled here already.
I’m a life-long Albertan married to a Saskatchewan gal whose grandparents were on the ground floor of the NDP’s formation and who were regularly visited by Tommy Douglas.
The zeal for the marxists dressed in clerical robes has faltered in the third generation, thankfully.
Cool pic — can I “borrow it” for use in the USA?
“Right down to seeding the media with the theme that “women don’t trust Hermanson”.
The media programs women to say they are scared, men feel they are coming to the aid of women by voting Liberal\NDP, and the taxpayer taxes it in the hooha. That’s democracy in Canada in a nutshell. It’s an invidious a tactic as exists, and a perfect example of why I belive universal suffrage to be fatally flawed.
Andrew:
Before or after menopause?
Seems pretty accurate to me! The Saskatchewan Party is a crew that was in possession of STOLEN Regina City Police Reports that they posted on their website (until the police demanded the material come down) – and for which they ARE going to be sued for in due course!.
They also lied about how long they had the stolen Police reports – so someone in the SP Caucus Office will likely be arrested.
I thing the Sask Party has more to worry about then some draft brochure.
As opposed to stealing money from the people?
Leftdog,
Far be it for me to question your motives, but you know those stolen police reports you are referring to? Those were originally in the NDP caucaus office.
So how exactly did THEY get ahold of those? Sounds like the NDP had stolen documents first.
And secondly, who in the RPS gave the NDP information about a private discipline process? By your standard, those were illegally gotten by the NDP as well.
Let’s chat about that, shall we?
You guys are no longer better at playing this game.
This is a joke, right? Even the NDP are not that desperate and stupid.
Hey Greek …. you said , “Far be it for me to question your motives” – my motives??? I remember how the Devine Conservatives NEVER BALANCED ONE BUDGET IN NINE YEARS – the Saskies are the remains of the old Devine crew – Wall even worked for them!!
Greek said, “you know those stolen police reports you are referring to? Those were originally in the NDP caucaus office” – you sure CAN’T read news articles can you …. the RPS had them from their investigation in the early 90’s – (sheesh) .. “So how exactly did THEY get ahold of those? Sounds like the NDP had stolen documents first.” The NDP GAVE them to the Police AND somehow the stolen Police files got into the hands of the Saskies ..
The people of Saskatchewan may want change … but change to what?? That is what the election is going to be about – and that is why Wall WILL NOT win – too many lies, too many inconsistencies, too many connections to Devine in the past and Harper at present.
People may blame the gov’t (NDP in this case) but the root of the problem is the people that continually vote for clowns such as these. The fact that people continually fall for these brain dead tactics would seem to indicate that maybe it;s time for some restrictions on who we allow to vote.
A decent understanding of economics, and human behaviour would seem to be a common sense minimum requirement for entering the ballot box.
Yes, Eyes, they are that desperate. They see the writing on the [cough]Wall.[/cough] 🙂
This brochure is just more proof that they’re tired, it’s 2003 all over again. Sell the crowns, privatize health care, “Alberta” style economics, reduction in labour standards.
Yawn, boring.
The NDP have _nothing_ to campaign on _except_ the “hidden agenda”. If that isn’t tired and old, nothing is.
Actually, you know what, there is a difference between 2003 and now. In 2003 the NDP actually had a platform to campaign on before they jumped on the scare train. This time it seems they’re going straight for the scare.
Cheers,
lance
Does it not strike them that grown adults might be offended with the nursery time imagery?
It is an honest portrayal of how socialists view the world though. Citizens are children.
leftdog:
I know a few ‘die hard’ NDP’ers who now realize that all of their children moved away to have decent jobs and a life above poverty for their own families. They won’t be voting NDP this time around. It’s a sentiment I hear quite often lately.
Scream all you want, leftdog, ‘Mene mene tekel parsin’.
Leftdog, try breathing into a paper bag for a few minutes.
That should help.
Leftdog, it is appropriate that you include the word “dog” in your name. Consider changing it to “dogma”.
Looks like something freshmen at the Dipper Kampus Klub would produce. Really lame. Postscipt is right. The handwriting must be on the wall for the NDP.
With the uranium and diamonds (as well as oil), some people think Sask. has more resource potential than Alberta. Maybe people in Sask. will actually start to benefit from their resources once the No Development Party is punted.
My Sask based sibling told me that it’s all over for Calvert. Coming from him, it’s a stunning admission.
Yeah the NDP is retooling their website too but they cannot spell “the” right let alone run a province:
Check it out for yourself.
I wonder who the wolves really are? They’ve misrepresented themselves as the government over the past 6 years under this premier. Saskathewan voters will not forget Spudco (misled by the minister), Carrier (misled by the minister), Theft in the caucus office (misled by the minister), mismangement of Community Services (misled by the minister), Afganistan type roads through out the province, young people still leaving the province for post secondary education, highest crime rate in Canada. Again I ask.. who is the wolf here?
“A temporal causality loop (or simply temporal loop) is a special condition of time, in which time runs for a certain period, then resets itself to a point back in time, after which the events play out over again. However, afterimages of previous loops can be found to have effect on the dekyon field. This causes humanoid lifeforms to experience déjà vu.”
Shhh! Be vewwy, vewwy quiet… we’re hunting wabbits.
Simply hilarious! Children being elected by children.
Ahhhhh……..Leftdog’s posts have the glorious aroma of NDP despair. He thinks that convincing us might help convince himself that NDP isn’t doomed. It really must be a bitch hanging on to an ideology that has proven itself time and time again to be an abject failure.
This should simpli what the CFR and UN are all about WOLF I SHEEPS CLOTHING
Put up those billboards and mail those pamphlets: I can’t wait to see the reaction. Sure, the NDP’s core voters will probably rally to the old war cry (or hand-wringing wail) one more time, but everyone else is going to either be PO’d or fall off their chair laughing like I just did.
It’s a rally-the-base tactic: they’re throwing out all the old cliches one more time with the hope that they can at least save themselves from a 1982 type melt down. It can work, too: the Liberals have been running this same campaign since 1997.
“You are sheep to be fleeced.”
Gubmint
Baaaahhh Baaahhhh Saskatchewan
Have you any balls?
Yeah but come on guys… it IS Saskatchewan after all. And we all know what happens to sheep in Saskatchewan…..
It’s funny how yesterday’s activists have become today’s threatened establishment, reaching deep into the sewer to smear their opponents.
I still have a brochure, put out by the Sask Liberals in 1944, with lots of cute cartoon figures, explaining out the wicked commie CCF would socialize everything, confiscate farms etc.
It worked so well that the Libs were almost wiped out in the ’44 provincial election. Their smear and scare campaign backfired big time.
Now it’s the “Son of CCF” tha’t showing its desperation and deserves the guillotine. “Plus ca change …”
The whole thing is a gong show. I am embarassed at what we have for so-called “leaders” in this province. Wall has been too quiet over the past year and he needs to step it up if he wants to be the next Premier. Otherwise, most people will, sadly enough, stick with the evil they know. And Saskatchewan will continue it’s spiral downward, despite all the over the top and nauseating gushing you hear on the radio from the likes of Gormley.
In the news report from you cousins and ideological allies at NewsTalk Radio (Gormley and Co.) they quote Wall as saying he wants to discuss ‘POLICY’ as we go into the next election …. HUH… ‘policy’!!?
Here is what the Regina Leader Post had to say about Wall and the Saskatchewan Party’s aversion to discussions about ‘policy’ … hey wouldn’t even debate policies at their own convention:
“Instead of discussing policy issues, the Saskatchewan Party held a love-in for leader Brad Wall.”
– Regina Leader Post: Feb 17, 2007
“Brad Wall says this weekend’s Saskatchewan Party convention is all about getting ready for the provincial election expected this year, and he defended the fact that no policy will be debated.[…]And the Opposition leader said he didn’t think the absence of a policy debate would turn off the expected 400 party members who will attend the convention.”
– Regina Leader Post: Feb 10, 2007
Policy … yeah Brad … let’s talk some policy … policy about how you came in possession of STOLEN police reports from the Regina City Police!
Pleeeeeze!
Thesameoldsaskparty.ca is registered by Tim Williams — an NDP staffer who works for the justice minister. I think this cheezy piece of work is legitimately NDP.
Leftdog… fear is the little mind-killer… let it wash over you…
leftdog,
How about we wait for the RCMP probe into Glenn Hagel’s handling of the NDP caucus money theft first? You are so lame and running on borrowed time and you know it!! Get Calvert to call an election now if he’s got the grapes!
As a displaced Saskatchewan resident, can someone fill me in as to when an election might go down?
D’ya think anyone would notice if Calvert had his teeth filed?
A perfect characterization of the McGiunty Liberals trying to snow the Ontario voters after running the worst credibility record in Canadian history.
Can we photoshop Kinsella inside the sheep skin and put chicken feathers around his mouth and a chiken head beteween his teeth? …caption: who let the weasel into the hen house? ;D
Kate! You are a fellow ‘DUNE’ fan! Cool! 😉
Leftdog its sad you think that you and the other NDPers think you can fool the voters again, same old crap from the NDP.
Leftdog – Last time I checked Harper did fairly well in the last 2 Federal elections. How did the NDP do? That should eliminate your contention that aligning with the federal Conservatives is a bad thing for the Sask. Party. In fact I don’t think they are aligned enough with the Conservative party.
My problem with the Sask. Party is that they really aren’t that wolf at all.
I support the Conservatives federally both with time and money. I have a hard time doing the same with the Sask. Party. They don’t take a firm less socialist stand on a lot of issues. They seem to try to appeal to the NDP base more then the real conservative base in this province.
Wall’s response to this attack could have just as easily come from an NDP leader.
WLMR: Are you aware of the latest Ipsos-Reid poll putting Mental Midget McGuinty into majority territory, thanks to idiots in the 905 area of southern Ontario.
It proves they’re brain dead, can’t remember he broke every promise he made last election and blamed the previous government.
Typical Liberal dirty work, gotta know Kinsella is up to his you know what churning out the crapola.
Re: election timing:
The last election was held on November 5, 2003, so the government has until November 2008 to call the next one. An election this fall would be the normal procedure, and the NDP would get flak for not calling one, but with the polls the way they are, I’d put my chump change on a call in the spring. Look for a big propaganda barrage this fall instead, with more loud shrieks like today’s from the Kremlin as the crowd starts to close in.
