Farhan Chak … is one of the newest members of Stephane Dion’s new Liberal Party and a supporter of Dion’s during the Liberal Party leadership race. His views on Stephen Harper and on the Western media and on Islamic fundamentalism make for interesting reading.

I had to discontinue reading, due to illness.
The guy makes me puke.
“One more thing. Chak’s middle name is Mujahid. It means “holy warrior”, a fighter in the Jihad. Cute.”
Add one more candidate to Dion’s coderie of terrorist supporters and Islamofascist apologists.
i read as much as i could stand, how do you spell dangerous with a capital D
Indeed, just another reminder of the liberals slide to the far left, where there is an immense comfort zone for interaction with these types of people..that he should hold these types of views in this country, post 9-11, should automatically discount him from holding public office.
A message to the liberals..wake up! besides becoming
increasingly irrelevant, you are now flirting on the wrong side of treasonous activities.
This must end.
So, in other words, he’s a “progressive”.
Oh how uncommon, the libs or the dips attracting some axe grinding crank…just that this one is a Mooselim holocaist deniaer and as a minority he can’t be accused of antisemitic bigotry.
This batch of Librano miscerants, losers and cranks is the worst lot of irrational fantical foamers I’ve seen in one spot since visiting Babble.
Don’t you just love it when these SOB’s start out by saying they want Canada to “Move In A New Direction”………..?
May we live in interesting times.
And this surprises anybody because???
Damn. How I wish I could still be alive 75 years from now when all these leftards are getting their throats cut by these followers of the Religion of Peace, and are screaming for help from the Dippers.
sounds like the greens and the reds are fully united in most stances now.
anyone remember the book “Red Maple”?
How long will it be before we have actual terrorists and terrorist supporters elected to our Parliament?
I fail to understand how a party that would accept someone like this as a candidate could actually still be at 30% in the polls.Only in Canada I say. This is sick I live in Beaumont!
Is this landslide annies old riding. Even edmonton liberals can’t be so stupid to vote for this guy. Deny the libs 1.75/vote, don’t even cast a protest vote for him.
I think that we are all in danger of allowing what might happen if Farhan Chak was to become “Foreign Affairs Minister, or maybe Multiculturalism,” or the Minister of Public Safety, distract us from just how crazy our current Public Safety Minister is. Stockwell Day believes that the Earth is only 6000 years old because it says so in the Bible! It says some other bizarre things in the Bible; I hope that he doesn’t believe them too! Soon we might all be forbidden to wear cotton or we could be stoning disobedient children. Now that, my friends, is a fundamentalist psychopath. Imagine what lunacy he could wreak if the Conservatives were to form a majority government. I certainly wouldn’t want to follow him “along the direction his mind works.”
Forain gets my vote for The Stupid Post award.
Forain, there is a difference between believing something ones-self, and forcing the world around you, to “believe”, adhere to it, or die!
“How long will it be before we have actual terrorists and terrorist supporters elected to our Parliament?

Too late Liz….Denis Coderre, Jean Chretian,Paul Martin,Jack Layton.Need I go on?
Forain,
You are a perfect example of a malignantly diseased mind. Do you really feel threatened by Stockwell Day? If so, that’s based on what actions?
Now lets compare that to a religion of psychopathic, blood thirsty savages intent on killing you, your family and everybody you know, because their holy book, prophet and god commands them to and rewards them for it.
Oh, and I might add, with daily absolute proof to back up the above charge.
Do everybody a favour and dig a hole, jump in it and have somebody roll a two ton stone over top.
This is just the voice of a partisan Conservative yelling back at the radio –
“Jim Prentice speaks for me.”
And thus, the LIEberals’ “ghetto-ization” of Canadian politics continues…
“Forain” must be code for Foreign. He may be among us but not with us. We have far too many of that ilk
currently in our midst.
Is it not now clear that the Liberal party harbours kooks, loonies and bigots, rather than the Tories. Oh yeah, I forgot, only conservative knuckle draggers can be intolerant bigots and deniers.
I am a conservative atheist, so I am not a big fan of Bible thumping religious wing-nuts in politics. That being said I like Stockwell Day. I don’t care if he believes in a literal interpretation of the bible so long as he does not impose his beliefs on me. He doesn’t, in fact he respects my view points and those of others who disagree with him. Isn’t interesting that the “intolerant conservatives” usually show the most class and courtesy to those who do not look at the world the way they do? WOOOOO SACCARRRRY! I’ll take scary Stockwell and the Conservatives any day over the likes of Farhan Chak. Now that is scary.
Carstonkid
you must be a bit of an anomoly in cardston, but they are also pleasant and tolerant people.
Carstonkid: You don’t have to be religious. You just have to be a decent human being to recognize this guy is dangerous.
“Chak” this one up to another shovel full of dirt coming out of the political grave of Dion and the Liberals.
Question: why did Stephen Harper recently hand Quebec a $3.5 billion bag of cash?
Answer: to attempt to make up for the support he lost in Quebec by describing the globally denounced invasion of Lebanon as a “measured” response.
Based on publicly available polling data that’s the “Occam’s Razor” explanation. You can whine about antiwhatchamacalitism all you want but anyone who rejects this logical fact-based deduction rejects mathematics, science, and reason.
According to the best available data the Conservative honeymoon ended precisely when Harper made his “measured response” comment. Support plummeted in Quebec and dipped noticeably in other regions. And the Conservatives have been playing catchup ever since. It begs the question of whether supporting war crimes is more important to Harper than winning a majority government.
In any case, as a non-Quebecker and a Canadian taxpayer I’d be grateful if Harper could keep his mouth shut until the next election. And I hope that election gets called before the “Axis of Ethnic Cleansing” does something evil again, like nuke Iran.
Regarding the actual post, a good half of Canadians agree in broad strokes with Chak’s foreign policy ideas. According to the best available data, it’s Bush supporter Janke who is the extremist as compared to Canadians, not Chak.
“In any case, as a non-Quebecker and a Canadian taxpayer I’d be grateful if Harper could keep his mouth shut until the next election.”
I thought that you didn’t pay taxes on the first $12,000 or so. If you make more then your boss is getting ripped off.
al lea:
Quite right, there is a difference. I wonder, though, how you would characterize disallowing gay marriage (Which the Conservatives would most certainly do with a majority government). True, they couldn’t do so on threat of death, but wouldn’t they be imposing their views?
Irwin Daisy:
It’s been too long. A “malignantly diseased mind?” What an excellent use of a thesaurus! I certainly wouldn’t want a beneficently diseased mind.
You question whether or not I genuinely fear Stockwell Day in a post stream characterizing a different politician as dangerous? Does that seem… hypocritical to you? Also, do you think that you can accurately characterize an entire religion by the actions of a couple of crazies? I certainly wouldn’t characterize all Christians as psychopaths just because Stockwell Day is Christian and a psychopath.
Liz J:
You couldn’t be more correct; I am absolutely not with you.
Steve Janke is locked= No access
Slightly OT but has anyone been watching the PBS series on America at a Crossroads? The series is on muslims around the world, the battle in Iraq and last night there was a lot on Irshad Manji, the Canadian muslim author of The Trouble with Islam today. Last one is tonight at 9:00pm.
Excellent series and really showing the rise of muslim fundamentalism. These guys are on the march everywhere, intimidating, fomenting trouble, bombing, threatening and killing. Irshad Manji speaks of the beauty of islam yet is attacked verbally, daily death threats and intimidating meetings with the muslim head guy in Canada. Beauty of islam, guess you had to be there.
Forain, (Foreign),you are not with me and that’s for sure, no need to mention that fact and you are absolutely out of the loop of any self respecting Canadian with a genuine allegiance to, and love of this all too tolerant and lenient Country when it comes to many we have allowed to slip through the cracks.
Stockwell Day is a good and decent human being as well as a very capable Minister.
This Country was built on Judeo-Christian principles and our laws reflect that fact.If you have a problem with that take a hike to some place where you won’t be allowed to spew venom about someone’s religion.
“Also, do you think that you can accurately characterize an entire religion by the actions of a couple of crazies?”
Mmmm, I read somewhere that muslims were responsible for the death of 2800 people last month, I’ll see if I can find it.
This is frightening. I’m concerned that as the Liberal party continues to embrace these loons, reality will become increasingly inconvenient and inimical to discourse within the Liberal party. The result will not be the purging of the loons from within the party ranks but rather the elimination of reality as a measuring stick or guide to political discourse and policy. Beyond a certain point rhetorical/ideological orthodoxy will become the only qualification for being heard or accepted into membership — the real world be damned! The capacity for evil of such an organization is historically all to real.
Bob posted:
“It begs the question of whether supporting war crimes is more important to Harper than winning a majority government.”
Let’s see now: Israel was being shelled every day by Hezbollah agents in Southern Lebanon. Hezbollah agents had crossed the border into Israel and seized Israeli soldiers. Israel went after them. That was a War Crime? Israeli soldiers were fired upon, mortared and rocketed from positions deliberately sited amongst civilians. They returned fire carefully and judiciously. Was that a War Crime?
The real War Crime was the suppoort tacitly given to Hezbollah by Iran, other Arab states and the mendacious EU nations. The real War Crime was the perverted coverage of the clash by the liberal mass media, including our own beloved CBC and Globe and Mail. The real War Crime is the perpetuation of lies by people like you, Bob!
Forain
You really are an ignorant jackass. 98% of all the conflicts in the world today(with the exception of South America) involve muslims. “A couple of crazies”, ya right.
“Steve Janke is locked= No access”
Sorry ’bout that…it started working after 15 minutes.
weird
Janke’s extrapolation is quite creative. I especially enjoyed the example he used with regard to Algeria. I m quite certain that Janke would have interpreted “I hate Islamists” as “I heart Islamists” if it came out of a Liberal Party members mouth. Hes picked out small passages and patted himself on the back for making it mean what he wants it to mean.
Of course, Janke’s extrapolation skills dont deter the wannabes. WLMKR has already deemed this fellow a holocaust de nier. I m not sure where he got his evidence from. Perhaps he’s just trying to be creative.
And then theres those wonderboys, IRWIN DAISY and MULTIREC, always contributing something meaningful. Heres a very good analysis of the topic by DAISY:
“Do everybody a favour and dig a hole, jump in it and have somebody roll a two ton stone over top.”
Nice try, Daisy, but the real award winner is MULTIREC, with his brilliant analysis of the situation:
“I thought that you didn’t pay taxes on the first $12,000 or so. If you make more then your boss is getting ripped off.”
Its so brilliant that you need to be supersmart to actually decipher how it relates to the topic at all.
MISSING LINK steps up to the plate to show that hes a smart one.
“You really are an ignorant jackass. 98% of all the conflicts in the world today(with the exception of South America) involve muslims. “A couple of crazies”, ya right.”
MISSING LINK obviously has evidence to back it up. Thats why hes made this claim. He just forgot to throw them in.
But MULTIREC will not be outdone. Always capable of throwing out meaningless statistics, he offers the following gem:
“Mmmm, I read somewhere that muslims were responsible for the death of 2800 people last month, I’ll see if I can find it.”
Perhaps he will enlighten us on how many people have been killed by the Americans. Lets broaden the range. How many people have been killed by Christians all over the world (Latin America included). Somehow I dont think hes going to find any statistics on that, given that hes probably getting his statistics from some anti-Islam kid who has nothing better to do.
Ah SDA. What wonderful analysis it brings.
I didn’t read the whole tirade. It is obvious he is of Islam persuasion. Let’s hope the people of Edmonton don’t bother with him. The Muslims/Islams are determined to take over the world and we will never know our world to be the same again. These are evil people.
“It begs the question of whether supporting war crimes is more important to Harper than winning a majority government.”
I don’t believe this for a minute but lets just suppose, hypothetically, that Harper did think that. At least he has principles he believes in. Unlike the corrupt liberals whose policies(EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM)are crafted in order to get them elected(the country be damned.)Need an example. How about SSM. First they are against in then they are for it because it looked like it would get them more votes.
And therein lies the BIG difference between the libs and cons.
Horny Toad
Well, my word, I never…
There you have it. Kathy has said what all of you are itching to say.
“The Muslims/Islams are determined to take over the world and we will never know our world to be the same again. These are evil people.”
I m not Janke or WLMKR so I wont try to extrapolate, but the message is loud and clear.
Hmm Jeremiah
I may not be a genius, but I am at least fluent enough in English to spell correctly.
Perhaps when lucidity returns you can pop off your rose-colored glasses and join us in reality.Any number of resources cataloging the atrocities around the world are available.
You can perform a search using this thing called the internet, it’s new give it a shot you might like it. And how do you know I am a man, or is that your muslin misogynistic ways showing?
“Mmmm, I read somewhere that muslims were responsible for the death of 2800 people last month, I’ll see if I can find it.”
And I read somewhere that 30,000 people die of gun wounds in the United States every year. Its on the BBC site. That translates to 2500 people a month in a country that is Christian.
And MISSING LINK continues with the thoughtful remarks,
“I may not be a genius, but I am at least fluent enough in English to spell correctly. ”
Well done. I never claimed to be a genius either. As a result of this, I dont know what “muslin misogynistic ways” are. I nonetheless apologise for characterising you as a “he”. I m simply too lazy to write “he or she, as the case may be”.
Statistics mean whatever you want them to mean. To claim that it is 98% is a bit absurd. Very absurd. Are all of them conflicts instigated by Islamic beliefs, or are there some in there that were instigated by other causes, but involve muslims?
Also at the “BBC site:”
… violent crime in America has been plummeting for 10 consecutive years, even as British violence has been rising. By 1995 English rates of violent crime were already far higher than America’s for every major violent crime except murder and rape.
You are now six times more likely to be mugged in London than New York. Why? Because as common law appreciated, not only does an armed individual have the ability to protect himself or herself but criminals are less likely to attack them. They help keep the peace. A study found American burglars fear armed home-owners more than the police. As a result burglaries are much rarer and only 13% occur when people are at home, in contrast to 53% in England.
Your one-stop shop on the web for catalogued Jihadi murder is w3.thereligionofpeace.com
Ooooh, Jeremiah is in a snit. Here you go sunshine, that anti islamic kid is pretty busy writing these links. I can get more if you like.

Clueless: I’d prefer to live in the US than any middle east country, how about you?
jeremiah – I have several simple questions, and would appreciate your perspective:
Broadly speaking, and neglecting/incorporating the various sects, I know of two large worldwide religions with exclusivist claims – Christianity and Islam.
Would you agree that both of these religions do make such claims?
Based on the contents of the adherent’s “holy book(s)”, what is your understanding of how they are “supposed to” advance/advocate their religion?
Are there presently any countries that claim to be dominated by one of these religions? If so, are you aware of the state of existence of the broad strata of humanity in such societies?
Considering both the ideal (as defined by the majority), and the actual (as observed)…
Where would you like to raise a family?

well now, S. Hawking is a genius and he does have problems spelling, as did the Wright brothers, Alexander Grahambell, and many more well known and well reguarded individuals
so try keeping yer feets outta yer mouth

He made both of these thoughtful remarks in the same post. How dare he call someone a Muslin!
