“Global warming” is the liberal’s stalking horse for their ultimate fantasy: The whole U.S. will look like Amagansett, with no one living in it except their even-tempered maids (for “diversity”), themselves and their coterie (all, presumably, living in solar-heated mansions, except the maids who will do without electricity altogether). The entire fuel-guzzling, tacky, beer-drinking, NASCAR-watching middle class with their over-large families will simply have to die.
It seems not to have occurred to the jet set that when California is as poor as Mexico, they might have trouble finding a maid. Without trucking, packaging, manufacturing, shipping and refrigeration in their Bel-Air fantasy world, they’ll be chasing the rear-end of an animal every time their stomachs growl and killing small animals for pelts to keep their genitals warm.
I love the smell of Hyperbole in the morning.

Everyone is entitled to their convictions and here’s mine: piss-poor quality of made-in-china junk that we are buying over and over because it breaks too often is much worse for the environment, than entire US industry output from all years since the first settlers.
Yeah, in the same vein I don’t know why the shrill media hasn’t portrayed the current gas shortage in Ontario as good for the environment.
Could it be because all of the doom and gloom Glow Ball Warming kooks are suddenly hard to find?
All I see are reports of drivers angry that they have to drive out of their way to find a stocked gas station, they have to endure line ups and long wait times, they have to pay a high price, and they feel that they are being taken advantage by Big Oil for a fire that occurred at Imperial Oil’s facilities.
I have not seen one person say that they were cutting back, happy to do their part for the environment. Nope, everyone’s driving around like mad trying to get the last drop of gas at any price, griping all the way.
Let’s face it: many Canadians are shrill about Glow Ball Warming, but when push comes to shove they expect the other guy to cut back, not them.
It would have made a great Utube pic if we could have found the big green bus trying to get gas in Ont and being in a long lineup. It really hasn’t sunk in to the glow ball supporters that it will affect them personally. The goresuzuki followers have done a great job is selling the idea it will only affect the alberta oil sands. Toronto drivers have experienced first hand what no gas production leads to. Add to that all the lost jobs because plants are closing and moving to non kyoto countries, before they have to meet emmission targets in Canada. Cheaper to move away. Even with being exempt, under the libs, Buzz can’t keep them in Ont.

Long before global warming became an environmental concern, however, the move from the power provided by animals to that provided by gasoline had greatly improved the environment. The emissions that came out of the tailpipes of horses were much more lethal pollutants that those now coming out of the tailpipes of cars. Horse emissions did more than make our town and cities stink; they spread fly-borne diseases and polluted water supplies that killed people at a far greater rate than the pollution from cars and trucks ever have. Photochemical smog is clearly a health risk, but not nearly the health risk of cholera, diphtheria and tetanus that have been largely eliminated with the help of gasoline powered transportation.

If suzuki was really a serious guy, wouldn’t he have planned his tour to go from point A to point B and back to point A using the most efficient way. I have heard he was in the maritimes, sask, alberta, and now ottawa, and he has to get back to BC. How many miles has he put on this bus, how many times has he crossed Canada. Couldn’t it have been done using less gas/diesel. If he is in Ottawa, that means he has to cross thru AB again. Get out the protest signs at the Sask border, follow him to BC with gas guzzling trucks and SUVs.

Thing about the weather is that first it gets hot, then cold, it rains, it snows, the sun shines, it gets cloudy, next week there’ll be a storm, next day it’ll be calm… In other words, the weather is always changing. Always has.
