Idiot of the Day

Yeah, it’s early but we have a winner!
The Globe & Mail reports that we spent $85-million to evacuate large numbers of non-taxpaying “dual citizen” teat-sucking ingrates out of Lebannon. The combox includes some non-idiots, like this guy:

This whole shamefull episode clearly shows that there is a double-standard when it comes to canadian citizenship : canadians with duties and other ‘canadians’ with privileges. I have been living in Montreal for many years, and for a while in a section of the town where a lot of people from Lebanon live. They come from upper middle-class Lebanon, speak french, are well-educated and know how ‘the system work’. Their mothers, fathers, cousins, etc, enjoy free medical care, send their kids to our schools, do NOT pay taxes, etc. All of this has been going on since 1990. They now think it’s a ‘droit acquis’ that we owe them. You question that and you’re on Bush’s payroll, you hate muslims and should be put on trial before the ‘Droits et Libertés’ tribunal. Our ‘leftists’ agree with them. What a ignominous farce.

However…
Darren Smith writes from “Dubai, Canada”:

I currently live in the middle east and I consider myself a proud, contributing Canadian, regardless of my tax paying status. It baffles me that Canadians view the funds used to evacuate Canadians as a waste of tax payer dollars. What makes Canada so great is our melting pot of cultures, our standing and influence in the international community and our global social conscience. You do not develop these traits by keeping immigrants out and keeping Canadians at home. I think before you develop an opinion on changing Canada’s immigration policy you should consider the demographic challenges we face and the value that immigrants bring to our economy and our way of life. Though I am not a Canadian tax payer today, I will be returning to Canada with my wealth and my knowledge while contributing to Canada’s presence as a global citizen. I am surprised that my values differ so much from fellow Canadians. $2.60 per Canadian tax payer is a bargain for the benefits we receive. I will gladly send my $2.60 home.

Wow, who knew Dubai had a shortage of People Who Can Squeeze the Largest Number of Cliches Into One Paragraph? That’s some skill set. Glad “Darren Smith” will be coming back here sometime to share this marvelous talent with us — there’s a desk at the CBC waiting for him.
He only left out “PS: We burned down the White House in the War of 1812. Har Har!” Or did he? What other Canuckistan cliches did Darren forget to squeeze into his little missive from The Land of the One Way Airline Ticket of Allah (pbuh)?
Pile on, kiddies.

No, I disagree with your statement that my “thinking is muddled”. I apologize if I did not communicate my thought correctly. I believe I sometimes try to jam too many thoughts into a post, and skip logical steps when reaching a conclusion, believing the reader understands they are there. To elucidate:
Your comment came out with 2 options, and number 2 is what I meant by not extending dual citizenship. If a person wishes to become a citizen of a state that we have listed as undesirable, we would revoke Canadian citizenship.
And why would this not be a practical policy?
I will endeavour to explain myself more simply in the future, to prevent muddled understanding… 😉

  2. Every so often, the fascist muslim, ajsuhail, crawls out from under his rock. He has appeared and smeared again.
As good an argument against certain bottom feeders immigrating as could ever be made.

  3. Byranr correctly stated: “The govt provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890 & each [refugee] can get an additional $580 in social assistance for a total of $2470”! (That’s un-earned income EVERY month for an illiterate 20-something Somalian or Sudanese or other refugee whose former occupation in their own country was…… goat-herder?)
How many actual working poor Canadians EARN $29,640 per year?
“This compares very well to a single pensioner who, after contributing to the growth & development of Canada for 40 or 50 yrs, can only receive a monthly maximum of $1012 in old age Pension & Guaranteed Income Supplement.”
Multiply $29,640 by several thousands of refugees living in comparitive luxury (from former homelands) and you get a bigger useless expenditure than $85 million spent on these “Canadian” evacuees.
As noted, if a Canadian pensioner having earned his own income for decades and through his confiscated tax dollars discovers his contribution was entirely under-valued by virtue of paying an equivalent 2.5 years of his/her pension income support to an un-educated foreign refugee, a year’s of worth free money. Our entire immigration/refugee system is simply broken when workers are penalized and the parasitical classes rewarded.

  4. Irwin Daisy,

  5. Decency? This coming from a maroon who calls a theiving, mass-murdering, lying, pedophile his holy prophet?
ajsuhail, a typical muslim – allow them to immigrate to your country, and they repay you by attempting to take over and “boot” the hosts out. If not kill them.

  6. Irwin Daisy you said Decency? This coming from a maroon who calls a theiving, mass-murdering, lying, pedophile his holy prophet?
Maroon?!What in the world is a Maroon?!
Methinks that you and Kathy need to be marooned permanently on a remote island where both of you can indulge in moronic, racist outbursts of hate and spite.
You are pathetic and a disgrace to Canadian values.Nazi Germany is where you would have been happy, you hatemonger.
Now if only David Miller could ship both of you to Michigan with the rest of the garbage…..
