Horrible Hurricanes

Fox13 live is covering the morning aftermath of Milton, DeSantis presser to begin soon.

More from Reed Timmer on X.

Roger Simon;

We are the in the midst of horrendous disaster for many of our fellow citizens. Our hearts break. But if it’s any consolation, it’s actually been worse. According to the website “Answers in Genesis,”

“The Flood of Noah’s day (2348 BC) was a year-long global catastrophe that destroyed the pre-Flood world, reshaped the continents, buried billions of creatures, and laid down the rock layers. It was God’s judgment on man’s wickedness and only eight righteous people, and representatives of every kind of land animal, were spared aboard the Ark.”

Okay, hold it right there. Did it happen? As Ira Gershwin wrote, things we’re liable to read in the Bible “ain’t necessarily so.”

Except a myriad of scientists and archaeologists have been investigating this for ages and the dating may be questionable but something major did happen.

Blacklock’s- Pay Seniors To Stay At Home

Parliament should pay Canadians over 65 to stay in their homes, say cabinet advisors.

“Aging at home can be understood as enabling healthy aging in one’s home and community,” said a panel report. “It also refers to the ability to live safely, independently and comfortably in one’s own home and community.”

Data show seniors in Canada last year outnumbered children for the first time in the nation’s history. An Actuarial Report On The Old Age Security Program counted 7.7 million seniors and 7.5 million children.

When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

The manhunt continues…

Capitol Police officers met the hoodie-wearing person suspected of planting a pipe bomb near the Republican National Committee office during the alleged bomb-drop operation but did not detain or arrest the person, Blaze News has learned.

Despite apparently having the suspect next to two squad cars for nearly three minutes on Jan. 5, 2021, the officers did not detain or arrest the alleged bomber and allowed the person to go back to the crime scene and ostensibly finish the alleged bomb drop, previously undisclosed security video shows.

Apparent police interactions with the bomber were never disclosed by Capitol Police or the FBI, which has failed to identify the suspect despite nearly 44 months of investigation and a $500,000 reward.[…]

The video discovery raises serious questions about what was discussed during the nearly three-minute apparent meeting between police and the alleged bomber — and why the officers didn’t detain the person or publicly report the incident after the RNC bomb was found the next day.

It also raises the question of why the FBI never shared the video with its own agents or the public and did not disclose or explain the bomber’s seeming interaction with Capitol Police.

Vitally critical minerals

Hey, wasn’t the now defunct Vital Metals the place Prime Minister Trudeau made a $5 million funding announcement at in January 2023? And by January, 2024, it was liquidating its assets? Well, now the feds are investing in critical minerals, again.

This time, the Saskatchewan Research Council is getting the money.

Blacklock’s- English “Don’t Belong”: Data

“Some described a backlash among English-speaking Quebécers as a result of government measures that were seen as Draconian and felt this is causing some resistance to speaking French when it is seen as something people are being forced to do,” said Bridges.

“Forcing people to learn a language is not a solution,” the report quoted one participant. “If some one forces me to do something I’ll do the exact opposite,” said another.

Blog Notes

I returned home this morning from a round trip to Virginia last week, where I was offline for much of the time. Many thanks to our guest bloggers here for holding down the fort! I left Salem at 1pm Sunday and made it to Davidson, SK last night around 11pm (over 3,000km in 36 hours) and thus need a few hours to catch up.

The trip was uneventful – save for a minivan that chose to cross my path on US460 in Virginia, forcing a high speed chicane around his front, through the intersection and into the opposing side of the divided highway, where I pulled safely to a stop in their left hand turn lane. If you ever find yourself trying to decide between a Subaru Outback and some other brand of small car or SUV, buy the Outback. Trust me.
