The results released Thursday show 98 per cent of Air Canada pilots represented by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) took part in the vote and of those participating members, 98 per cent voted in favour of striking.

I returned home this morning from a round trip to Virginia last week, where I was offline for much of the time. Many thanks to our guest bloggers here for holding down the fort! In the last 12 months alone, thieves have stolen at least 100 EV charging cables across the city in pursuit of the small amounts of copper within that can be sold as scrap.
Sun- Ontario only province that locks down inmates due to staff shortages
The lawsuits covers a period up to 2017, but the most recent data from the province shows that 81 per cent of inmates in provincial jails are awaiting trial and presumptively innocent.
The lockdowns strip inmates of basic human rights and violate their Charter rights to life, liberty and security of the person, and the right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment, the lawsuits allege.
“During lockdowns, prisoners suffer from a deprivation of health care, privacy, dignity, security and hygiene that violate even the basic standards applicable to prisoners in the correctional institutions,” lawyers write in a statement of claim.

Financial Post- WestJet cancels more flights because of strike, disrupting almost 50,000 travellers
The Calgary-based airline has already cancelled a total of 407 flights over the weekend in an effort to “maintain stability.”
Most of the flights were cancelled on Saturday, with 282 trips on WestJet planes being called off.
