Well, this isn’t good. Thread with more photos here.

Later reports say it’s been extinguished, so that is good.

I wonder how that one started????
Two words: eco terrorism
Why such a knee jerk conspiratorial reaction? Because I live in CA … where the State never solves ANY wildfire cause … they just blame global warming
Classic miscommunication. Someone announced that they were going to be loading lighters.
Perhaps someone heard there was a Catholic church buried beneath the coal…..
Exkamo
Maybe the RCC was trying to burn some witches, ones who threatened to expose the pedo cult!
You are so tiresome with the “pounder” and RCC insults, even where they don’t jive with the topic at hand.
Give it a rest and work it out at the gym or something, you tiresome goof.
Failing that, at least get your denominations right. It was the Puritans who burned witches. The RCC burned heretics.
Where did they touch you, pedo obsessed one?
I’m not sure just who touches who in that cult. I wouldn’t want to have to sniff the little bugger’s fingers anyway. And his insults don’t jive with the topic, indeed they rarely even boogie.
Looks like the fire is confined to a conveyor. I don’t see any of those huge coal piles in the background showing signs of fire.
Same here. It appears it was contained there and put out.
Likely caused by an overheated bearing.
If it was the pile of coal that caught fire, I’d be skeptical about whether the fire has actually been extinguished.
The only way to be sure the fire is out is to dig the entire thing out until you are absolutely positive that there are no burning embers buried in that pile. Same for things like wood-chip-pile fires. We had one at a paper mill near us that burned for many months until they were able to work all the usable wood chips into pulping process.
L – Maybe, it was a Houthi missile strike to damage shipping traffic in… well one infidel nation looks the
same as another.
It’s a conveyor belt fire. These weren’t uncommon at one time. Likely due to a component failure because of lack of maintenance or cleaning of moving parts. Today they have fire resistant belts and fire suppression systems to control fires. Might lead to loss of loading for a while.
So much for “Bring Cash”. I guess the new motto is “Burn Coal”. Glad it was dealt with swiftly!
Wait! WTH is green BC doing w/ coal in its midst? Don’t they know that stuff causes Globull Warmening?
So, who is gonna pay our Lisping Loser’s carbon tax on this?
Canada nets zero from that load of coal
