Former Hillary Clinton IT specialist Bryan Pagliano, a key witness in the email probe who struck an immunity deal with the Justice Department, has told the FBI a range of details about how her personal email system was set up, according to an intelligence source close to the case who called him a “devastating witness.”
The source said Pagliano told the FBI who had access to the former secretary of state’s system – as well as when – and what devices were used, amounting to a roadmap for investigators.
“Bryan Pagliano is a devastating witness and, as the webmaster, knows exactly who had access to [Clinton’s] computer and devices at specific times. His importance to this case cannot be over-emphasized,” the intelligence source said.

May Pagliano finish his testimony before suicidal tendencies overtake him.

The Hillary Clinton campaign has gone on the attack against the government official who conducts oversight of the State Department she used to run, accusing him of partisanship and misconduct without any direct evidence. That strategy could backfire by politicizing the role of the government’s inspectors general and undermining needed State Department reforms.
This is not the first time Team Clinton has accused a federal inspector general of trying to foil her presidential ambitions. In January, the campaign publicly accused the inspector general of the intelligence community of acting in concert with two Republican senators to leak details of now-classified information found on her private e-mail server. This week, the Clinton campaign set its sights on Steve Linick, who has served as the State Department’s inspector general since 2013.

Maybe there is something to the pay-to-play rumours flying around. Washinton Post reports:

Investigators with the State Department issued a subpoena to the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation last fall seeking documents about the charity’s projects that may have required approval from the federal government during Hillary Clinton’s term as secretary of state, according to people familiar with the subpoena and written correspondence about it.
The subpoena also asked for records related to Huma Abedin, a longtime Clinton aide who for six months in 2012 was employed simultaneously by the State Department, the foundation, Clinton’s personal office, and a private consulting firm with ties to the Clintons.

Note, however, that this is a State Dept. subpoena, not FBI or any law-enforcement agency.

More recently, Democrats have pointed out that State’s inspector general also found 12 messages with information now deemed classified on a private email account of former Secretary of State Colin Powell and that of staff for Condoleezza Rice — though none reached the “top secret” level. Still, Democrats say those revelations show that the issue of retroactively classified material showing up on private servers is not restricted to just Clinton.

That statement references emails that Sec.State has the power to classify or declassify. The information originated within the State Department. The problem in the twenty-two Top Secret email chains is that the information originated from other agencies.
