Call this the Pierre Delecto Twist in the Case of the Influence-Peddling Bidens. Where Mitt Romney adopted a nom de plume for social-media sock puppetry, Joe Biden apparently put his pseudonym to a more, ah, commercial use. Or so says House Oversight chair James Comer, who alleges that Biden used the name “Robert L. Peters” as a way to hide his involvement in Hunter Biden’s Ukraine affairs.
This morning, Comer told the National Archives to dig deep to produce all such communications under that name and to remove the redactions.
“Robert L. Peters” does bear a passing resemblance to “Pedo Pete”.

This week, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer released a third report on the ongoing investigations into the Biden corruption scandal.
The latest bank records indicate the Biden family has received more than $20 million, including from corrupt Kazakh figures.
Some of this money provided Hunter Biden with extravagant toys. On April 22, 2014, Kazakh oligarch Kenes Rakishev wired $142,300 to the Rosemont Seneca Bohai bank account. That account then shows the exact same amount being wired to a New Jersey car dealership for a Fisker sports car for Hunter. Finding the Fisker unsuitable, Hunter traded it in for a Porsche.
Notably, these payments often coincided with dinners and meetings with Joe Biden.
Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, the widow of Moscow ex-Mayor Yury Luzhkov, wired $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton Feb. 14, 2014. She later attended a dinner with Joe and Hunter Biden at Washington, DC, hotspot Café Milano.
For weeks, Joe Biden’s prior claims have been collapsing as his allies in the media and Congress struggle for an alternative spin on these new disclosures.
The president’s denials of any knowledge of his son’s foreign dealings finally have been exposed as a lie. Even the Washington Post has acknowledged Biden lied when he insisted that Hunter never made any money in China. It was always a boldfaced falsehood (and a confusing claim from a man who insisted that he had no knowledge of his son’s foreign dealings).
But the testimony of associate Devon Archer and new bank records forced the paper and others to recognize the falsehood.
There is also the confirmation that Biden’s long denials that he attended key dinners with Hunter’s business associates were false. Most notably, the media are grudgingly admitting that Hunter was openly selling influence peddling and access to his father as part of what Archer called “selling the brand.”
The final line of defense is now that Hunter Biden was selling access to Joe Biden but it was an “illusion.” The reason, they claim, is there is no evidence of direct payments to Joe and Jill Biden.

…according to sources connected to White House security, the bag of cocaine that was found in the White House belonged to someone in the “Biden family orbit”–and Joe Biden knows the individual.
Three sources reportedly told Susan Katz Keating of “Soldier of Fortune” magazine that the Secret Service told Joe Biden the name of the person who brought the cocaine inside the White House last month, and the three sources all identified the same individual to the magazine. According to Keating, the sources “work for a U.S. government agency, and are not authorized to speak to the media.”

Biden Administration Ordered Facebook to Change Algorithms to Suppress Conservatives
In one meeting on April 14th, 2021, Flaherty asked Facebook if it was possible to artificially promote outlets such as the New York Times and the Washington Post, instead the Daily Wire and Fox News, particularly commentator Tomi Lahren.
“If you were to change the algorithm so that people were more likely to see NYT, WSJ, any authoritative news source over Daily Wire, Tomi Lahren, polarizing people,” Flaherty asked. “You wouldn’t have a mechanism to check the material impact?” […]
“Never-before-released internal documents subpoenaed by the Judiciary Committee PROVE that Facebook and Instagram censored posts and changed their content moderation policies because of unconstitutional pressure from the Biden White House,” said Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, on Twitter.
Constitutional scholars have also raised the alarm over the revelations, with George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley saying that he has “asked Congress to pass a law barring federal employees from engaging in censorship and targeting of citizens.”
“Agencies have a right to speak in their own voices,” Turley added. “Instead, the Biden Administration sought to engage in what I have called ‘censorship through surrogate.’ This is part of that pattern.”

Under new Energy Department efficiency standards, bulbs manufactured and sold now must meet the “minimum energy-efficiency standard” of 45 lumens per watt, giving rise to LED bulbs that some researchers have suggested can cause health complications.
Biden’s light bulb ban joins the list of growing home items the President has fixated on. Perhaps most notably, gas stoves have been a target of his administration for several months.
Specifically, the DOE-proposed energy consumption standards that, if enacted, would reportedly make half of America’s gas-powered stoves non-compliant with the rule, a move Republicans have warned would wreak havoc on financially burdened families.
Because of this, House Republicans passed two bills aimed at blocking federal attempts to regulate gas-powered stoves, arguing that, on top of the economic implications, it would also violate consumer choice.
Other items like gas furnaces, AC units, washing machines and refrigerators have also come under DOE scrutiny, all in the name of “energy efficiency” and combating climate change. However, many don’t agree that the efforts to regulate home appliances are climate-motivated.

Months ago, I testified before Congress on censorship after Elon Musk’s release of internal Twitter communications, also known as the Twitter Files. I warned that the government was engaging in “censorship by surrogate,” using corporate allies to do indirectly what it is legally prevented from doing directly.
Facebook had refused to open its own files on government censorship efforts. That came to an end when the House Judiciary Committee finally moved to hold Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in contempt of Congress.
The resulting Facebook Files confirmed what many of us have suspected for years. Indeed, the emails proved to be a mirror image of what had occurred at Twitter — a massive effort by the government to pressure the company to censor its critics and other dissenting voices. […]
In an April 2021 email, Nick Clegg, Facebook’s president for global affairs, wrote to colleagues that Andy Slavitt, a senior adviser to Biden who was steering COVID-19 policy, “was outraged — not too strong a word to describe his reaction — that [Facebook] did not remove this post.”
The post was actually a humorous meme shared by a user named Timothy McComas. It featured actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s character from the film “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood,” pointing at a TV with a beer and cigarette in hand. The caption read: “10 years from now, you will be watching TV and hear…. ‘Did you or a loved one take the COVID vaccine? You may be entitled…’”
Slavitt was not amused. More importantly, he was irate that others were amused. Hundreds of thousands of others.
