There are some ominous signs Justin Trudeau might be obliged to enact Sharia in Canada, he’s going to Mosques, joining them in prayer, trolling for votes. What deals would he be making for those votes is something we should be concerned about.
My local Foodland puts the ham and bacon and pork ribs etc. in the middle between the chicken and the beef. You know, WHERE IT BELONGS.

Don’t really care about the KFC bending over for Sharia though, because I -never- eat Kentucky Duck. Ever. Couldn’t boycott the Colonel any harder than what I’m doing now. Because that ain’t food, its food -poisoning-.
I have no difficulty with a fast food outlet or restaurant deciding what it will or will not offer on its menu nor do I much care whether its food is halal (or for that matter, kosher – as a Christian, such designations are irrelevant to me) as long as it’s good!
But if something is offered on its menu (i.e., bacon), I have a big problem with a fast food outlet or restaurant allowing its employees to choose what they will or will not serve to customers.
I’d give such an establishment a pass.

This incident occurred several years ago, which in my opinion hurts the linked article’s credibility because it presents it as somewhat recent.
JJM – it’s a bit of both. It’s a halal KFC, so it’s a KFC with an alternate menu. I would see KFC and assume that bacon would be standard on the menu. At this site it wasn’t, so people who see the brand and try to order normal for the brand are likely what spawned this reaction.
John Galt – Thank Heavens, I thought I was losing it, as I remember us all commenting on it. When your old like me, you begin to wonder what is real and what is fantasy – it is seldom(er) that I remember from earlier, but this is more like deja vu.
