Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Further evidence of female irrationality.
This is the classic “only women know so sit down” argument about false logic.
But on a different note, I believe the real issue is “Not guilty by reason of insanity”. The latter does not invalidate the former. Did she kill her children? By all accounts, yes. So she’s guilty. Now for the sentencing. Was she temporarily insane? I don’t know. Seems like a convenient argument to me but even if she was, she should not go free. Establish guilt and then sentence. Do not establish innocence to excuse the punishment.
Every murderer can claim “temporary insanity/the Devil made me do it”. One has to be off his or her rocker in order to end another life because of anger or convenience. That is no excuse. The perp still knows right from wrong. Our society has become evil in that it excuses evil for the lamest of reasons.
Laura Richards, as the former head of the Homicide Prevention Unit at Scotland Yard, has terminal cranio-rectal inversion.
Massachusetts has a reputation. You can go all the way back to 1892 to Fall RIver, Mass. I’m sure you’ve heard of Lizzie Borden.
“Lizzie Borden took and axe and gave her mother forty whacks;
When she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one.”
She was aquitted.
So Clancy’s insane, fine. Sterilize her, and institutionalize her permanently. Since she is insane, I am sure she experiences pain differently, so no need for anaesthesia.
At about the 1 minute mark of her video she mentions sleep deprevation alone can induce psychosis, and which may then lead to one murdering their children.
About 32 years ago, when our family’s twins were not synchronized in their sleeping through the night routine, and they were waking up (waking each other up often enough too) every couple of hours and I’d change one of them and then bring that kid to Teresa for nursing and an hour later change the other one when it woke up, then bring that kid for the same, then bring them back to their own beds when they were finished (some nights we just collapsed into sleep right then and there) and I can plainly hear Teresa saying many times in the AM while I was getting ready to go to work, “thanks for all the help last night Marc” … while I often had no recollection, none, of being up with the kids and helping with the night changing/feeding, I couldn’t tell if she was being sarcastic or geniuine…
It was only for short period, maybe a few months before they synchronized, I can’t imagine how people with triplets do this, yet they do, and often without a trail of destruction in their wake. (Teresa initially had 3, but for 95% of the pregnancy there were only two)
At no point in those days did I consider that killing the lot of them would be a way out, it just never occurred to me that this was the solution to the problems, nor do I think Teresa thought she could end this in similar manner. Then again some people get offed for not having dinner ready at exactly 5.30, maybe we’re just not natural born killer material.
I do agree that the 3 children murdered by one of the Clancy’s didn’t deserve it. The police appear to have dropped the ball on the investigation, and I still agree with the lone juror who held firm.
But someone did this, and if it is never going to be women’s fault as any of the symptoms could push one over the edge then the idea of women flying airplanes, or being police officers, or having any truly stressful work needs to be looked at.
There were SO MANY absurd statements made by this government bureaucrat retiree … that I don’t know where to begin. But let’s look at her ‘sleep deprivation’ argument. The serial murderess’s youngest child was 8 months old. If your 8mo. old child isn’t sleeping through the night … then you are a piss-poor mom or your kid has some critical health problem.
https://www.sleepfoundation.org/baby-sleep/when-do-babies-sleep-through-night
And there’s no reason why your 3-4mo. old child shouldn’t sleep through the night. The kid simply needs to be fed properly and put on a regular sleep-nap schedule.
Didn’t work for our second. Regardless of what we did she would wake up between 12:30-1:00 AM and scream blue murder until 5:00 AM. I was getting up at 5:30 AM and usually worked until 11:00 PM (customers in multiple time zones) so this played hell with my sleep schedule. She did this until she was about three and learned to read. Then she could entertain herself and let us sleep.
We’ve had a few people tell us that if she was their first she would have been their last.
Dear Laura,
You’re a Mewling Quim with a big fcking mouth.
If you were suddenly aborted, many men would be alright with it being so late in the term.
Buddy
some time ago l quipped about ‘female logic’ as part of a standup routine lm putting together
for open mic nite.
little did l know the view wd be so broadly adopted.
our only child was asthmatic. as an infant and toddler she was susceptible to bronchial infections.
so, one nite, l went in her room, carefully monitoring her breathing, propped myself up against the wall and dozed off ‘with one eye open’.
EVERY TIME there was inconvenience, expense, disruption, etc related to Chrissy, I REMINDED MYSELF ITS ALL TEMPORARY, she will outgrow it. and did. ‘why you spoil her Kritter?’ was the common lament. spoil? SHE SPOILS ME, never whined or cried UNLESS there was a diaper change or feeding or teething or time for sleep. ALL of which was *on me* to FIGURE OUT and deal with.
when she graduated high school she got a scholarship AND won that year’s writing award.
ah but in a time when one can abort right up to moments before birth? aka ‘the hidden holocaust’.
Everybody’s still talking about this?
The move to mistrial is probably the best, reasonable course.
And since everybody seems to have a conjecture: What if both parents are guilty; not in the same way legalistically speaking of course?
Massachusetts has case and appellate rulings with regards to manslaughter by omission.
Maybe we’ll all find out.
You know … with every recently publicized murder-mom story … we always get a factual (believable anyway) narrative about what REALLY motivated the mom to slaughter her child/children. Casey Anthony just needed more free time to go dancing and drinking … Susan Smith killed her two boys to free her for an affair she was having.
So I am trying to figure out what motivated a brutal, systematic, triple murder by this monster? No, I’m not the least bit convinced it was due to a very sudden and temporary psychotic break with reality. No, there MUST have been an ulterior motivation … because THAT’s human nature. It falls along the same vein as when police ALWAYS (and mostly correctly) claim that Family Members are the FIRST suspects in murders, abductions, and disappearances.
Oh, I think the evidence shows that this woman killed her kids.
But I keep coming back to the question: If you knew that your spouse was having suicidal thoughts and thought of harming the kids, would you leave them alone with said spouse?
And I’m also going off of case and appellate precedents — there’s legal precedent.
I know my own answer; I’m posing it to others — would you do it?
I probably also wouldn’t be helping the defense’s case either by calling said murderous spouse a ‘victim’, but I’m vengeful that way. But he does have a civil case that rests on what the verdict of this trial is, so there’s that.
In other words: proving that you have long term mental health issues, which you have failed to get appropriate treatment for — in spite of the fact that you did have access to said treatment, yet you refused to follow through — isn’t a good defense for why you shouldn’t be found not guilty of murder.
And not taking appropriate actions to defend the victim(s) when you have a relationship with said victim(s) when you know there is a reasonable suspicion of potential harm because you just wanted it to all work out or didn’t want your situation to appear less then ideal to the public also isn’t a good defense.
I’d want both of them brought back in for some questioning, possibly the grandparents as well; just my own opinion.
Well … I wouldn’t just sit by and let my wife’s Doctors screw with her health, and no, I wouldn’t leave her alone with the kids … if indeed, she showed any signs of mental instability. I’d ask grandparents to stay with her … or hire an in-home Nanny.
As an example: my wife has chronic high calcium in her blood … and osteoporosis … the most obvious diagnosis is hyperparathyroidism. I have been going along with her to consult with her endocrinologist and now her thyroid surgeon. She’s been scanned, probed, and ultrasounded. And I’ve attended all those sessions. There is nothing her Doctors are going to recommend that I won’t scrutinize.
And it just so happens that hyperparathyroidism can cause brain fog, anger, and confusions because of the elevated calcium in her blood. As it is … my wife is not making a lot of sense as she is resisting surgery. All indications are that she needs surgery to remove some anomalies on her thyroid. She has no logical or cogent argument against the surgery … so I need to step in and make sense of it for her. BTW … her osteoporosis scans are not good … the WORST being her wrist which she broke in a fall about 5 years ago. She really needs medical intervention … and suffice to say … I’m not allowing her or her Doctors to mistreat her.
I honestly don’t believe this woman was mistreated by her Doctors and psychiatrists. That’s just the Defense narrative. That’s just the current National narrative about our “broken” healthcare system. Notice the Defense didn’t call any of her actual doctors. Very revealing.
No, the prosecution had them testify, and that’s telling as well.
My take: she was doctor shopping and med hoarding. And I wouldn’t let my spouse do that either, especially if it might be a reason for that sort of behavior, without the eventual murder.
And he went along with it, even up to leaving her alone with them (after apparently some medical professional advised not to).
Can you tell I’m not really a fan of either of the Clancey parents? Yeah, I’m not; kids were cute though, really sad.
