  1. Out of all the agricultural writers in Canada, Sylvan Charlebois, Ian Cumming, and Jim Romahn are the only guys I’m aware of who have the courage and honesty to speak the truth.

  2. My hardcore leftist sister-in-law has always advocated SILENCING all voices she deemed unworthy. It’s in a leftists DNA … to CANCEL all it “hates”.

      1. She CANCELED me … long ago. Meh.

But what I like most about leftist womyn? She claimed it wasn’t my ideas and opinions that upset her … but my “tone”. Yep. Shallow emotionalizing substituted for intellect.

          1. Looks like you and I need to … tone it down. In the new Maoist States of America … there will be a summer camp for people like us …

        1. Tone, yeah, heard that one before. Got fired for “tone” one time. Still hacks me off that I didn’t sue them for it, I plead the rigors of poverty back then. Being poor means you don’t get to have rights.

The tone thing is emotional blackmail to make you shut up. They must make you shut up because A) they know you’re right, B) they deeply, deeply hate you for being right and C) because they know you can tw1st their scrawny little arm off if you feel like it.

I feel the West is long overdue for a return to the Code Duello. This time women are treated equally. Pistols at high noon, no free pass for XX chromosomes.

  3. being autistic the very *concept* of ‘tone’ was utterly foreign to me.
l just chalked it all up to some additional weird form of bullying. l got a lot of that.
lm 75 end of summer. a LOT of the bullies in my life are now dead.
including one sorry ‘nikcuf case basically by my hand. heh heh heh.

  4. So now the modern University is a place where knowledge is lost, not gained. Wonderful. We seem, anyway, to have already de-volved back as far as the late 1950’s insofar as race relations and religious tolerance are concerned. How long until some Democrat shitbag like Plattner turns his dogs on Jews?

    1. Wait. You’re taking AG advice from the people famous for their famines? I’m old enough to remember the concert for Bangladesh … Bangladessssh …

As for the plastic mulch … does it just get plowed under in the fall? Or do the Punjabi’s deploy an army of peasants in robes to pick it out of the corn stalks? Oh wait. ALL of the planting and harvesting is by hand … got it. Sounds super ‘green’ to me.
