  1. A woman that hates the human race with a passion. What do animal deaths and forest fires have to do with air conditioning? I think that this woman should be allowed to live without electricity for the rest of her miserable life, and then she might gain a small understanding of why energy matters. She would soon appreciate the advantages of electricity production for heating (as an example) over every French citizen foraging in their forests for wood. But I am more than willing to recommend that she try it for her life.

  2. This is the typical example of the people who are elected into office and the typical example of the mentality and intelligence of the people that vote them into office. How we ever evolved from the Stone Age baffles me when I look around and see what has become of a supposed educated and enlightened society. If there is any truth to the adage “Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad!”, then we are well on the way to destruction.

  3. Suffocate? So people don’t … suffocate? From Air conditioning?
These eco-fraud leftists are criminally dangerous people who know NOTHING of the real world. Yet they insist you live in their insane furry, gender-fluid, Co2 is suffocating, construct of an imaginary planet.

People like her should be locked up … in a mental institution… for her own good.

  4. “I’m horrified by people…”

I think that is the most important part of that quote. ‘Intense fear of’, or ‘appalled by’ seems a bit over the top when choosing an adjective showing your disagreement. And yet, ‘appalled by’ probably sums up her generalization rather accurately.

  5. This from a country that derives the huge majority of its power from NUCULAR Energy (lol).
    70% to be exact.
I suspect the unmentioned problem is France’s poor power infrastructure, specifically in Paris itself. Old, undersized ducts, old, withered and substandard conductors would fry with the electrical load.
There’s a good reason for their hyperbolic comments about AC, it’s to deflect from their shithole infrastructure.

    1. Joey,
There were as many, or more French who were indifferent or outright supported Hitler, than those who were in the Resistance fighting against the Nazi Socialists.
The French Resistance would never have been able to overcome the Nazis, without the help of the USA.
Even still today, tour guides in France don’t want to talk about all the support the French citizenry gave to the Nazis.

  6. Watching the Asmongold video with the police in Germany using their water cannons to cool off the crowds, I couldn’t help but think:

“This is really cruel, Oskar. You are giving them hope. You shouldn’t do that. That’s cruel!”

        1. oh its worse than that, its the same bathwater as everyone else in the household. they dont change it just ‘top it up’. to protect gaia.

    1. Because their weather maps render 85deg.F in bright magenta and flash WARNING WARNING across the page.

Meanwhile … property in Santa Barbara is essentially unaffordable to all but the 0.01 … because the temps are 85deg.F virtually every day of the year.

  7. Any government that has a “Minister of Ecology” (“climate change” or “environment”) is a state that feigns omniscience while demonstrating fascist hubris and if human flourishing is of any concern, it is at the bottom of their priorities. Controlling access to energy is no longer on the road to serfdom, it is at its destination.

  8. This interview isn’t as bad as it seems. The environment minister isn’t saying people shouldn’t have air conditioning. She’s saying it doesn’t fix the underlying problem (as she sees it).

    1. The underlying reasoning for her comments is the cause of the problem. They (she) can’t see that. This is why Chinese farmers provide air conditioning to their pigs while French people swelter and some parish.

  9. Hope you saw videos of European soccer fans luxuriating in American A/C. My favorite was a French guy in Texas saying, “it is (h)otter than Satan’s butt crack.”
As has been said here and elsewhere, more Europeans die from heat than Americans from gun violence. Whatever happened to, “if it saves just one life…”?

    1. “Whatever happened to, “if it saves just one life…”?”

What we have here are Socialists protecting their gravy train. It is cheaper to ban air conditioning than it is to fix the horrific electrical grid, therefore they lie to the public and try to gain support for the ban.

So that they can steal more money. If money gets spent on electrical grid upgrades, power generation and associated infrastructure, then it isn’t going into the pockets of the socialist elite the way it does now.

Watch the video again with that in mind, and see how it hits a little different when she talks about animals dying. Beeotch does -not- care about animals. At all. Or old people dying in hospital because there’s no AC. They argue FOR it.

  10. With respect this French air conditioning “thing” – and indeed, with respect to virtually ALL European matters – I like to speculate as to what Kevin Kline’s “Otto” character in the film “A Fish Called Wanda” would say, and that’s probably my opinion too.
