Keir Starmer’s Britain

Where the foxes caper unmolested, the government packs your school lunch and the death watch has begun.

Sir Keir Starmer will announce as early as tomorrow that he is quitting as Prime Minister in the wake of Andy Burnham’s decisive victory in the Makerfield by- election, it was claimed last night.

The PM was said to have reached the conclusion that his position was no longer tenable after talking to Cabinet colleagues, No 10 advisers, union leaders and key Labour donors.

Sources insisted Sir Keir, who is this weekend discussing his future with his wife Victoria at their country retreat Chequers, had yet to make a final decision.

However, senior Labour figures told The Observer that they believed a clear statement could come from the PM as early as tomorrow or later this week.

    1. The track record over the last 10 years would support your concern.
      I can’t keep track….
      Truss, Johnson, Sunak, Starmer….missing anyone??

  1. “He just wants to do what’s right for the country and, having spoken to the people he wants, he is now spending quality time with his most important adviser – Vic.”

So, the rape scandal is still unaddressed.

    1. The Screwtape Letters instructed that Satan never comes breathing fire and brimstone. No, Satan cloaks itself in pretty words and promises of salvation. Not to worry. Your new PM will SAVE you. Yes, SAVE you from those mean Reformists.

I’m old enough to remember when England produced great men such as Clive Staples … now Britain can’t even define what a man is … is …

  2. Was just scrumming through the UK local news. It seem obvious what the Labour party is going to try and pull. They wanted Burnham to win in a return to Parliament. With that momentum, he’ll be submitted to replace Starmer. He has an economic background (or so the media outlets are saying as often as possible in their rehersed coverage). They are going to try and shift the focus of the population away from immigration and deluge the public with economic promises.

While it isn’t disputed that the immigration issue in the UK is without challenge the biggest concern of the residents, and yet every CV article you will see on Burnham puts that down in something like paragraph 10. And, here’s why. He’s on record saying that he thinks the immigration laws need to lighten up a little. Or as he said it, “soften.” He wants to discourage crossings from France by the “boaters.” But, in the same breath he wants to lighten up on legalizing arrivals.

So, essentially, Labour is all in on the “LOOK SQUIRREL!!!” strategy to difuse the opposition to open border suicide.

  3. This entire facade sounds so much like what the libs did in Canada.
Country is going down the toilet. Leader is unpopular – takes the blame, takes the exit, and a New Leader will come to save the day!
Only the new leader just continues down the same paths, only now with an even more vociferously cheering media.
    And all the people rejoiced…..
