Biden’s auto-pen already gave Fauci a full, pre-emptive pardon for anything he might have done. He’s slightly embarrassed and that’s about it.
The problem wasn’t funding the research. There were about 13 different viruses the US was funding research into around the globe at the time. The problem was lying about and covering up the source of the leak instead of coming clean and dealing with the fallout. I think, if he had done that, Fauci would be a non-issue.
