Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I thought snow fences were put up everywhere it snows..?
Like to drive your ATV on the road? Don’t like to wear a helmet on a motorcycle? etc…

Welcome to Wyoming, now go Home.
I’d estimate 20% of my neighbors get around town in their UTVs; 50-60% of us still heat our homes with wood; and all regular monthly events are cancelled in October because it’s hunting season.
That was good.
The best thing about snow fences is explaining to puzzled tourists that they are bleacher seats for jackalope races.
In my neck of the woods the slats are vertical or at 60 degrees instead of horizontal and the fences are only about 5 feet high. But the 50% rule seems to be the same though.
The latest thing in snow fence.

Sure wish they’d do them in Western Canada. Even just plant a row of low bushes along the highways, it helps.
