It works the other way round too. The Boys in Beijing have been enjoying meaningful relationships with their political bitches in Ottawa for years.
Moderate Republicans are why independent voters might consider voting Republican in the midterms. Moderate Democrats serve the same role for the Democrats. Both parties are currently trying to systematically oust these moderates.
Gonna be an interesting midterm, as independent, centrist voters will not have much to choose from in many districts. Going forward, the first party to right the ship and consistently field candidates who appeal to the political centre will reap the rewards.
